"In the 36 years I have followed Christ, this book more than any other has challenged me to confirm that what I believe lines up with Scripture. Through his focus on baptism, Mark David Cooper illustrates just how quickly we can start thinking that we need to contribute something to our salvation. It is a must-read for anyone who has struggled with the power of Christ's death and resurrection, the significance of baptism, or the mystery of grace."-Jill Pahl, wife, mom, flight attendant, biblical researcher, Christ-followerBaptism: is it from men or from Heaven? This is the same question Jesus asked the Pharisees in Matthew 21:25 and the same question we must answer today. This is a book for the committed follower of Christ and not the casual inquirer. It is an examination into the comprehensive truth of what the Bible teaches regarding God's administration of baptism upon His people.Mark David Cooper performs a deep analysis of God instilling His grace on His followers through a fivefold baptism: living water, the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, fire, and Christ's blood. He challenges the reader to move past common, elementary understandings and grasp the mature, biblical concept of one gracious (fivefold) baptism from God.After reading this book, the reader will appreciate the impact of what God does for us through His lavish grace.

Julie Spier believes that when young people are challenged to rise up, they will. There is so much confusion these days about identity, gender roles, sexuality, and relationships. This curriculum gives young people a vision about those topics that is worth seeking. This curriculum will: - Help young men and women become completely dissatisfied with the life our culture tries to entice them to live.- Cast a compelling vision for young people about their identity as Christ-followers, God-honoring interactions with the opposite sex, and preparation for godly marriage.- Empower youth leaders to intentionally define and model what a godly man or woman is.This curriculum calls teenagers to live as Christ-followers in radical, tangible ways. When young people demonstrate genuine above-reproach character and bold faith, they will change the world around them.
Conservative Christianity in the United States has long been a beacon of hope. Conservative churches have withstood tidal waves of liberal theology and cultural shifts towards secularism over recent decades. Through it all, we have stood firm and remained committed to orthodoxy. As good as our intentions have been, however, we are not without fault. In our commitment to conservativism, we have lost our way and failed in some areas. It is important for us to be honest and vulnerable about these failings so we can correct our course and be the people God has called us to be. The American Masquerade confronts many of these failures such as: - Moralism replacing the true gospel- Impotency of the local church- Politicizing of the faith- Worshiping the nation over ChristPastors, believers, and friends, I urge you to open your hearts and be honest with yourselves. We have done so much right, but we have also done our fair share of wrong. Let God's truth break our hearts, redirect our course, and recover our purpose.

The body of Christ is in a great state of emergency. Many people are unknowingly operating under the deceptive influence of the spirit of Jezebel, and as a result many are unprepared, misplaced, and dead to the spiritual assignment for which God built them. The good news is that God is aware, and He has sent special agents-Dreamsmen- to combat this spirit face to face. The bad news is that God's agents must first get past the religious walls that Jezebel has set up against them inside the church. Dreamsmen: The Final Combat brings the awakening that ministry leaders need to recognize the deceptive hand of Jezebel and to acknowledge the dream as one of God's powerful weapons against her. This firsthand account seeks to alleviate the Dreamsmen's fight in the body of Christ and to demonstrate the power of God-given dreams so that both leaders and sheep begin to walk in the fullness of who they are called to be. Using her incredibly powerful experience with dreams and interpretations and eye-opening accounts of real-life ministry, Senior delivers a powerful message that sets the stage for the final battle between the deadly spirit of Jezebel and the "Dreamsmen." Senior gives Dreamsmen all the ammunition they need to become who they are called to be.

"My wife and I have a close relationship with a few of Jim Sherman's children. We've had the privilege of spending a weekend up on Maple Ridge to witness the interaction between Jim and his family. I have personally been a benefactor of his wisdom through stories and have seen the product of his life's lessons in real-life scenarios as he so eloquently shares in these essays. As a father of three and Jim's friend, I can say that these essays are useful, interesting, helpful, and entertaining. I'm thankful that he has decided to share this with the world." -Kelley Bremer, Business Owner"Growing up as Jim Sherman's son, I am both the subject and recipient of many of his fatherhood stories. The more humorous have been retold to family and friends over the years to the point that the entire family can tell them with as much gusto and embellishment as the original storyteller. Reading them as a collection for the first time, I see the impact the underlying principles have had on me as a parent and as a man. Read these essays. Laugh along with us. More importantly, ponder the wisdom contained as you strive to live your life fully." -Chris ShermanWritten by a practicing pediatrician, Essays on Fatherhood is an insight into author James Sherman's experiences and lessons learned over many years of parenting eight children. With a 40-year perspective, it reflects on early decisions made and directions taken, with the realization that a different decision might have been made, if only James had known. It is sometimes amusing, sometimes sad, sometimes confounding, sometimes trivial, and sometimes profound. And overarching all else, there is a clear message that while parenting is the most difficult job of all, it is the most rewarding!Readers will have the opportunity to share in James's parenting journey, and they can also learn wisdom for their own parenting decisions. Readers who have struggles with their children's choices, with the emotional upheaval of adolescence, or with the uncertainty of how to protect their children while allowing them to gain independence can find comfort in the common journey of a father and pediatrician who has shared those experiences.
