This book is a collection of digital narratives and personal essays written by twenty-nine immigrant and refugee youth from sixteen countries who now reside in Buffalo and Rochester of New York State.
One of two new books to kick off the children¿s graphic novel series Our Stories Carried Us Here. As our student population becomes increasingly BIPOC (52% of US school population in 2020), buyers are searching for books that are reflective of who their students and children are, and which help them feel more at home in America. Daniel¿s story is also included in Spanish. Moreover, the book contains background pages for Mexican customs and traditions. This book can also be used in education settings with included reading comprehension/book club questions.
