Born cinched in the Bible Belt, I worked the land, loving God and family. I married my high school sweetheart in college. Time revealed him to be an alcoholic/addict. In love, I was desperate for his recovery. We met an intentional community having locations spanning the globe, their own government, a tall ship for trading overseas, organic farms, soap shops, biodiesel and solar energy. My husband joined. Alcohol and drugs were prohibited. I followed. I became ill. Touting sickness and death to be punishment for sin, their leaders proclaimed God smote me over insubordination to men. Years later I found proof God wasn't to blame, involved possibly. Something supernatural had transpired when I survived. Keeping a journal, capturing details, crippled and bleeding internally, I left, sought medical attention, got divorced, emerged a single mother, and began my recovery. It wasn't their intention, but I made it out alive! Never underestimate your power ... you just might unleash a Phoenix.

The Enigma code machine was used extensively by German armed forces in WWII. To counter its use, the British developed a massive codebreaking project which successfully captured and decoded huge numbers of German messages. This effort was so secret that information about the Enigma and the codebreaking did not reach the public until the 1970's. Since then the general interest in the Enigma and the codebreaking has steadily increased. This book concisely discusses the Enigma design and use and shows functional data flows through the system. Some discussion of British codebreaking is included. To develop his own understanding , the author wrote a computer simulator of the Enigma and the source code is included in the book.

This book on Rapidity: Time Management on the Dot is about a focused and adaptive approach to time management. The theme is to do something with rapidity. In ordinary parlance, rapidity is a noun denoting the attribute of doing something with great speed. Some favorite thesaurus options for rapidity are swiftness, quickness, speed, speediness, briskness, expeditiousness, dispatch, alacrity, promptness, and immediacy. Rapidity, as a conveyor of time management on the dot, implies an alignment of time, cost, and quality of getting things done. The book also covers the need to deal with a pandemic-disrupted landscape of time management. Several guides and tips are provided in the book.
The prediction was part of a hypothesis seeking to investigate whether God endowed his right to liberty from school attendance and contained in a typewritten letter to the president of the United States in 1965, Lyndon Banes Johnson. Mr. Meyer was nine years old at the time and does not retain a copy of that letter, but remembers its contents due to the scientific knowledge of average survival age for men and women and the principle of thirds that governed its formation.

I love to tell the story of heroic knights, great battles, evil doers, and the Dark Prince of Naples, a complex man who traveled over two continents to find himself. In his travels he was accompanied by his two cousins. Arturo the skillful. A deadly swordsman second only to the Dark Prince. His other cousin is Baldassare the ferocious. The strongest man in Naples. A quiet man, but when aroused, his legendary strength and brute force is savage and terrifying. A good story needs a villain. We have one. A miscreant who is called Greco. What about love you ask? Ravenaire, the love of the Dark Prince and she of him. Oh, and did I mention the Assassins of Syria and their relationship to the Dark Prince? And least I forget, the Knights Templar. Well, my friend, let me introduce myself to you. I am called Brother Tristan du Lyonesse, a Templar knight.
The Milky (nurturing) Galaxy is a combination of two related novellas set in the same small, unregarded corner of the multiverse. In the first novella, in the 24th century, the Earth is ruined. Bio-diversity is gone. What is left is foul air, poisoned soil, filthy water, and a greatly reduced population of Humans struggling to survive in the dystopian environment. The wondrous beauty of a living globe more than four billion years old perfectly suited to support millions of diverse species is no more. Only the Rich live comfortably in geodesic domes five miles high which selfishly preserve some of the former glorious wonder, the clean air, water, and healthy food of the now collapsing Earthly biosphere. In the fragmented slums between the Domes, descendents of the former Working Class - whose livelihoods were usurped by robots mid-21st century - cling to a precarious secret existence in old buildings sealed against the raw, polluted, unfiltered air and water of ruined Earth. Living in peace with the ultra-privileged Dome dwellers, except as slaves whose lives would be worth nothing, is clearly impossible. Large, green, ameboid Aliens come to Earth and take away members of the former Working Class to settle them on healthy planets elsewhere in the Galaxy. The Aliens accidently leave an Alien child behind. Zee (the ameboid Aliens have only one gender) struggles to survive outside the Domes and find a way to Reproduce, to save hir memories for the future of hir species. In the second novella, a wastrel young man belonging to a Rich Dome family is sent against his will by his authoritarian father out into space to find a suitable, un-ruined planet where the Rich Families of Earth can transfer their "e;civilization:"e; their food animals, their enslaved women, and their capitalist economy. Past the worm-hole in the alpha Centauri star-system, the young man finds a thriving Anarkhist society of Human beings - living with green, ameboid aliens and others - inhabiting a star system with three suns. To his surprise, he falls in love with a free-Human female; and yet he still intends to conquer the planet and bring to it the "e;blessings"e; of Capitalism, because it will make him a Rich Earthman. Disaster ensues.

Losing a Hand was written by Ed with over forty eight years experience. It documents how he first came in contact with amputee friends, and then tells of how he chose amputation for himself and then with the aid of a power saw removed his own hand. The book follows with stories of his adaptation -- and success -- into amputee life. The lessons he learned and how they learned them should be inspiring to all, but especially to those people who know amputees or are amputees themselves, either by choice or by fate. The book also contains many case studies of others who lost one or more hands. It's written in a wonderful (and easy to read) down-to-earth style and comes highly recommended.

Understanding human behavior is generally a difficult task because of the complexity of the individual (or the group of individuals) that is subjected to intertwined factors, forces, values, and other motivational resources that are influencing behavior. A qualitative model of the individual was developed to account for the factors and forces exerted on the individual and the individual's goals. Personal behavior was further modeled by a vector with a magnitude and a direction. The magnitude depends on factors and forces that may be unleveraged or leveraged. The direction of the behavior vector represents the goals of the individual. The behavior model was extended to a group of individuals by considering a group vector. The role of past experience and resources supporting and influencing the indivual and the group were identified and discussed. Decision processes for the individual and the group were developed since it is through decisions that behavior is developed and adopted. The model also includes immutable factors to guide the individual toward a task-oriented or relationship-oriented human behavior. An error process was also developed to identify and correct errors so that the decisions taken are accurate, complete, and uptodate. Several illustrative applications of the human behavior model are presented and discussed. These applications relate to the individual and the group with specific goals and in particular situations.
