Nutrition is one of the most critical topics of our time since it has been demonstrated that good nutrition is essential for health. The importance of this theme is supported by the fact that individuals are now aware that a proper nutrition is the most appropriate tool to prevent and manage physical dysfunctions.Retailers can be considered responsible for the development of unhealthy food and beverage choices and for being an obstacle between shoppers¿ will of conducting a healthy lifestyle and their actual indulgent behaviour. Since grocery store are the primarily location for food purchases, they can be considered the perfect places where develop in store marketing strategies that aim to prevent shoppers making unhealthy choices.
The Internet offers an individual unified system, that qualifies devices to communicate globally by utilizing a set of criterion protocols and connecting several heterogeneous networks - business, academically, polity etc. Internet was initially comprised of email communication and static websites. Nowadays, several forms of Internet applications could be seen throughout, the fraction of numerous distinct part of our lives supports a great number of applications, services and seeking to convent every user¿s needs irrespective of place and time. There is major ¿secret¿ is cryptic beyond the digitalization of the user and all of the user-friendly and automated techniques.
The Acari includes a large and economic group of arthropods (especially those of Astigmata) which are found commonly in stored products, where they cause injury by feeding and creating, in many instances, difficult contamination problems. Mites frequently cause concern in premises where foods are stored, as well as damaging and tainting food materials and rendering them unpalatable, unpleasant in taste or smell. Such tainted foods are unacceptable or unattractive to human and livestock use, they also can cause irritation or dermatitis. Moreover, mites of stored products are known to cause various diseases to workers handling infested commodities or lead to gastric disorders in animals that eat infested Astigmatid mites associated with stored food are of great economic importance. In the past, the destructive role of mites has never been overshadowed because mites are so small that they are hard to see with the naked eye. But recently, with the developing of examination tools it is easy to discover infestations even when only a few numbers of mites are present.
The study was conducted in Haryana in 2014-15 to study the regulated markets of the state. It was revealed that huge investment has been made in recent years to equip the markets with required basic infrastructure facilities such as covered sheds, storage godowns, lighting, connectivity, parking space etc. Alongside this, many discrepancies also came to light, such as poor condition of market news and intelligence facilities in all the market yards and inadequacy of basic facilities such as drinking water and toilets. The main problem came out to be farmer¿s unawareness of rates and types of market charges to be paid by them that leaves a question mark on whether no unfair deduction is being made or not. Acute shortage of regulated markets was seen as per the recommendations of National Farmer¿s Commission in 2004. After studying the present condition of the selected markets following recommendations for further improvement of functioning of agricultural regulated markets in the state.
This book covers reliability analysis of distribution system. With the passage of time the development of distributed generation technologies is becoming broad and diverse. Power system reliability is one of the most important area in electric power system which deals with continuous supply of power and customer satisfaction. Around the world many power generation and distribution companies conduct reliability tests to ensure continuous supply of power to its customers. Injection of distributed generation unit into distribution system increase reliability. Different reliability tests were performed to find the optimum location to plant distributed generation in distribution system.
Sturm-Liouville operators and Jacobi matrices have so far been developed in parallel for many years. However not much in terms of spectral theory has been done in the discrete setting compared to the continuous version especially in higher order operators. Thus, we have investigated the deficiency indices of fourth order difference operator generated by a fourth order difference equation and located the absolutely continuous spectrum of its self-adjoint extension as well as the spectral multiplicity using the M-matrix. The results are useful to mathematicians and can be applied in quantum mechanics to calculate time dilation and length contraction as used in Lorentz-Fotzgeralds transformations. The study has been carried out through asymptotic summation as outlined in Levinson Benzaid Lutz theorem. This involved: reduction of a fourth order difference equation into first order, computation of the eigenvalues, proof of uniform dichotomy condition, calculating the deficiency indices and locating absolutely continuous spectrum. In this case we have found the absolutely continuous spectrum to be the whole set of real numbers of spectral multiplicity one.
The purpose of this study is to make an analysis on ¿The Influence of Culture in Conflict Resolution¿. Daily news on media is packed with information on various conflict resolutions going on throughout the world in an attempt to end ongoing disputes. Nations, organisations, communities, governments and individuals negotiate as final attempts to resolve differences in a diplomatic forum rather than combative retaliation. These negotiations can be protracted and tenuous especially when the disputing parties come from different cultures. It¿s influenced by cultural differences which play a significant role in determining peace and development in a conflict situation among individuals, ethnic groups or nation. This thesis asserts that, culture is a neglected aspect in a conflict resolution especially between Israel and Palestine conflict as a case study. Cultural misunderstandings are main additional confounding factors that cause complications in communication creating misperceptions hindering acceptable compromise. This happens when arbitrators/negotiators come from different cultural background.

The prosperity of smart grids related technology nowadays at industrial and scientific levels is noticeable. The technology that demands immediate attention due to the advent of energy shortage problems is microgrids technology, since it constitutes a feasible solution to these problems. Microgrids operation lack of well-established standards and the need for their development has fostered significant research and development activities in this field. This book focuses in the design and development of model-based and optimal, non-classic control algorithms, to be applied in the operation of microgrids. The aim of these control strategies is to guarantee a secure operation of microgrids when they operate in islanded mode. The book studies problems related with frequency and voltage regulation of microgrid generation units, as well as optimal load shedding decisions for balancing local power generation and load. The control algorithms presented in this book are tested and compared with classic control techniques and open-loop operating conditions in order to evaluate the performance improvement achieved with the use of these control strategies.
This research, supported by several environmental groups of the territory and involving different public research institutions, represents an example of active citizenship and scientific innovation. It was born as a response to an environmental and health crisis in the ¿Land of Fires¿, an area of Southern Italy ill-famed for the multiple sources of pollution. "EcoFoodFertility¿ responds to the need of clarity in the face of contradicting findings and media reports which generated a great deal of distrust in the healthcare system as well as anxiety within the population. It¿s a biomonitoring study, expanding to other risk areas of Italy and Europe; it studies the alterations of human semen, "environmental and health marker", as a key to understand both the level of environmental quality and its long term modifications, to set out early health risks for populations in relation with their living environment, diet and lifestyle. Currently the project is in progress but this ¿research model¿ has already contributed to the development of other studies and initiatives by regional institutions and also built a nationwide network of action in other environmentally-challenged areas.
Corporate acquisition is a popular way for firms to grow and obtain innovative resources. However, we know little about why acquirers choose one firm over another. We capture the influence of similarity and complementarity between acquirers¿ and target firms¿ products (current innovative value) and R&D pipelines (future innovative value) on whether a particular target firm is acquired. Insights from the Pharmaceutical industry reveal that acquirers value similarity and complementarity in target firms differently, based on whether the comparison being made is with respect to their products or their R&D pipelines. Regarding their R&D pipelines, acquirers prefer that the target firm has similar, rather than complementarity, resources. However, the opposite is true concerning their own products: acquirers prefer that the target firm has complementarity, versus similar, resources.
A semi-open atmospheric water harvesting device using atmospheric water vapour processing technology was designed and built. The processor is a device which extract water molecules from the atmosphere, ultimately causing a phase change from vapour to liquid. This is done by concentrating air, containing water vapour through a solid desiccant. Then heating the desiccant to remove the air and allow it to condense and then collect the condensate. The research focuses on the development of a relationship for the amount of silica gel to the amount of water produced to determine the sufficient amount required for the specific application. This relationship was found to be Mw = 1.0776Ms ¿ 0.4752, with a solar panel efficiency of 10.7%. The recorded values collected were then used to calculate the amount of water produced and were compared to the actual amount of water collected. The study concentrates on the extracting potable water from air especially with respect to the remote/rural arid places with deficit of natural fresh water and electricity supply. Solar energy as a power supply were focused on with discussing their strengths and limitations.
The literature review of Earth Air Tunnel Heat Exchanger (EATHE) outlines that there performance depends upon several parameters like inlet air velocity, pipe length, pipe inner diameter, pipe thickness, pipe material, climatic conditions. Beside above parameters the important parameter which affects the performance of EATHE is the thermal conductivity of ground soil. So for installing the EATHE, it is necessary to know the variation of thermal conductivity of soil, for continuous operation of EATHE, to obtain the worthy results. In this Dissertation Work, the above mentioned problem is considered carefully. Also the effect of variation of parameters like pipe length, pipe inner diameter, and pipe material is observed. The study is prepared using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Fluent analysis tool of ANSYS. The simulation model is designed in CATIA and imported in ANSYS. It is validated using actual experimental setup, installed at Bikaner city of Western Rajasthan, India. The analysis is prepared on the Simple EATHE in Series Connection at three different inlet air velocities for both summer and winter.

As businesses face evolving challenges, four aspects of leadership willbecome dramatically more important: insight, integrity, courage, and agility. It may be that advancing technology plays the most visible role in shapingmanufacturing progress in the years ahead. But we believe that what will matter at least as much for manufacturing¿s future is something that¿s much less visible, even though it has long been the bedrock of performance: effective leadership. How individual leaders inspire and influence others will become a key differentiator between organizations that thrive and those that do not.In our experience transforming large, complex organizations at scale, the bulk of the work is usually in creating operational and managerial solutions. Yet we also know that nothing will happen, let alone sustain itself over time, without effective leadership. Indeed, extensive¿and remarkably quantitative¿research confirms that there are roughly 20 fundamental components of leadership that correlate closely to organizational performance.
A Linguistic Study of Literary Aspects. Language and literature form such an organic relationship that it is impossible to separate one from the other. The language of literature is a large spectrum of concepts, ideas, emotions, and excitements which operate harmoniously in the mind of the author at the moment of artistic creation. It would appear in a form that evokes feeling and calls for various thematic interpretations on the part of the reader. Language to the author is the way by which she/he expresses herself/himself to the reader. Literary language is manipulated by its users with great care and complexity than the average language user can show.
There is no doubt that the cloud computing is changing the way our industry works.
