The maintenance of a relatively constant volume and a stable composition of the body fluids is essential for homeostasis. Some of the most common and important problems in clinical medicine arise because of abnormalities in the control systems that maintain this relative constancy of the body fluids. The relative constancy of the body fluids is remarkable because there is continuous exchange of fluid and solutes with the external environment, as well as within the different body compartments. For example, fluid intake is highly variable and must be carefully matched by equal output of water from the body to prevent body fluid volumes from increasing or decreasing.

'Macro-generation' refers to the generation or cohort of a broad area on the scale of tens of hundreds or thousands of kilometers, perhaps a study at the global scale; while 'macro-architecture' refers to the architecture of a broad area, and again, on the scale of tens of hundreds of kilometers, perhaps a study at the global scale and is said to have matured for that generation on being observed to have addressed adequately the changing factors of environment, society and technology. Players, events and the setting may vary based on the context and application, however, the profession and practice in the light of the written thoughts, language and work of institutions and personalities of architects and thinkers of that generation over time, space, space-time, place and presence remain as constants; captured and undertaken in God willing, several volumes; Volume 2.0 - GZ Alpha Beta Architecture: Natural environment (theory) to Pier Luigi Nervi (method).

Working capital is commonly understood as the fund needed to meet the day-to-day expenses of an enterprise. A finance manager finds that the funds for meeting these expenses get blocked in current assets. He, therefore, looks for liquidity support in net working capital (NWC), which is equivalent to the excess of current assets over current liabilities. A banker also looks at the size of NWC as the long-term stake of the business in funding the current assets. But for a production manager, liquidity is synonymous to uninterrupted supply of material inputs to the production lines. This book aims at resolving these conflicts by adopting a techno-financial approach to working capital management. In the previous edition a full chapter on Service Business: Risk Analysis and Working Capital Assessment was introduced to understand the nature of service business. This book is specifically meant for students of BBA, B.Com and MBA of different universities.

Never before in the history of the world has there been such a variety of exciting international business opportunities. The movement of the once-controlled economies to more market-oriented ones, the advancement of the Pacific Rim and the new markets in the Middle East provide a myriad of possibilities for entrepreneurs wanting to start a new enterprise in a foreign market as well as for existing entrepreneurial firms desiring to expand their businesses globally. The world is truly global. This need to internationalize is accelerating because of the self-interest of these organizations as well as the effect of a variety of external events. Today, more than seven eighths of the world¿s economic states have some form of market economy. A few large trading blocs such as the European Union and NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the United States) have emerged and are growing. Once- developing countries, like China, are economic powers.

Long-term cultivation of one species in the same site results in what is known as soil fatigue, which is conducive to the emergence of replant disease. In such conditions, the biological properties of soil deteriorate, which manifests in a decrease in the number of soil microorganisms. The reason may be the accumulation of allelopathic and phenolic compounds in the replanted environment, limiting the development of soil microflora. In Poland, there are more and more depleted plots in regions with intensive fruit growing. The situation is aggravated by the limited access to new positions, and therefore the threat of replant disease is becoming more severe. In this work was used biochemical and microbiological activities in apple-tree cultivation in the orchard after replantation as an important proxy for determining the biological activity and productivity of soils. Also, the book represents broad biochemical and microbiological parameters in the soils of an apple tree-orchard after replantation in different terms depending on the developmental phase and level fertilization.

The primary purposes of the green tax are to first, ensure compliance in the protection of the environment as well as discourage harmful behaviors and second, to generate revenue for the government. While a current OECD analysis on tax reform demonstrated an increase in the number of environmentally related tax measures, as more countries continue to adopt this form of tax, the implementation of green taxes has equally been criticized due to the absence of a link to the bad externalities that prompt the tax, rates not being high enough to prohibit the forces that cause environment deterioration, lack of worldwide uniformity in environmental taxes and the intricacies of the taxes enforced on many industries. This book seeks to examine whether the introduction of green tax in the UK has truly been successful in creating sustainable businesses, particularly in the banking industry. By doing so, it unpacks if green tax alone has been effective enough, or if additional factors are responsible for triggering changed behavior in businesses. The findings of this study will also help the government to reassess the green tax policy and make necessary informed decisions about it.

In dentistry, there is no single material that is ideal in nature and fulfils all the requirements of an ideal material. So, the search for an ¿ideal restorative material¿ continues, leading to introduction of newer generation of materials. These are termed as ¿smart materials¿. Smart materials can be defined as, designed materials that have one or more properties that can be significantly changed in a controlled fashion by external stimuli, such as stress, temperature, moisture, pH, and electric or magnetic fields. These materials are also referred to as Responsive materials. Now Material science is not what it used to be before. Traditionally materials used in dentistry were designed to be passive and inert, that is, to exhibit little or no interaction with body tissues and fluids. Materials used in the oral cavity were often judged on their ability to survive without interacting with the oral environment. The present scenario has changed. Many of the advanced materials at the forefront of materials science are functional. They are required to perform things and to undergo purposeful change. They play an active part in the way the structure or device works.

The philosophy of extraction related to the orthodontic treatment is not new. Establishment of normal functional occlusion in balancing with supporting structures occasionally requires the reduction of one or more teeth. Most extractions are performed as part of a general plan of orthodontic treatment. The nature of malocclusion and the age of the patient is an important factor in deciding whether the extraction is needed or not needed. To extract or not has always been a controversial in orthodontics. Since the early days of orthodontics the need for tooth extractions in certain orthodontic situations has been discussed. In the early twentieth century, Angle favoured non-extraction orthodontic treatment based on the concept of the occlusion line. He believed it possible to correctly position all of the 32 teeth in the dental arches and, as a result, the adjacent tissues (tegument, bone and muscle) would adapt to this new position. This book helps the readers to upgrade their knowledge and treatment planning skills for camouflage and surgical orthodontics.

This book presents original mathematical models of thermal-stress-field interactions in two-component materials, which result from the superposition method, along with mathematical models of thermal-stress induced micro-/macro-strengthening and thermal-stress induced intercrystalline or transcrystalline crack formation. The mathematical determination results from mechanics of an isotropic elastic continuum. The materials consist of an isotropic matrix with isotropic ellipsoidal inclusions. The thermal stresses are a consequence of different thermal expansion coefficients of the matrix and ellipsoidal inclusions. The mathematical models of the thermal-stress-field interactions include microstructural parameters of a real matrix-inclusion composite. In case of a real matrix-inclusion composite, such numerical values of the microstructural parameters can be determined, which result in maximum values of the micro- and macro-strengthening, and which define limit states with respect to the intercrystalline or transcrystalline crack formation in the matrix and the ellipsoidal inclusion. This numerical determination is performed by a programming language.

Data Mining is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives, summarizing it, and extracting the needed information from the database. Most enterprises are collecting and storing data in large databases. Database privacy is an important responsibility of organizations to protect clients sensitive information because client trusts them to do so. Various anonymization techniques have been proposed for the privacy of sensitive microdata. Generalization loses a considerable amount of information, especially for high-dimensional data. Bucketization does not prevent membership disclosure and does not apply to data that do not have a clear separation between quasi-identifying attributes and sensitive attributes. Slicing is a technique proposed for anonymized published datasets by partitioning the dataset vertically and horizontally. The proposed technique increases the utility and privacy of a sliced dataset by allowing overlapped slicing while maintaining the prevention of membership disclosure. It also provides secure data access for multiple domains. This novel approach works on overlapped slicing to improve, preserve data utility and privacy better traditional slicing.
