Cameroon, like any other developing nation grapples with unstable and unsustainable economic growth, failing to adequately support its public finance network to meet the increasing needs of its growing population. This instability, stemming from the deterioration of macro and microeconomic indicators, is a consequence of various contemporary challenges (both major and minor) that span socio-economic, environmental, and political realms. These challenges are comprehensively analyzed through four key determinants: Real or Natural Economy Contemporary Problems, Financial Contemporary Problems, Social, Environmental, Land Tenure, Infrastructure Development, Public Asset, and Safety Contemporary Problems, and Governance and Corruption Contemporary Problems. In addressing these contemporary issues, this work employs neoclassical theories and efficiency concepts. The operationalization of these theories and concepts, in the context of the four identified contemporary problems, is approached holistically. However, special attention is given to the promotion of good governance and a robust fight against corruption as integral components of the proposed solutions.

The book studies the physical principles underlying the molecular mechanisms of biological processes. It has been shown that processes of electrical polarization - ¿gating currents¿ - play a particularly important role in these mechanisms. Establishing the physical principles of these processes opens the way to the creation of functioning analogues of living systems. In classical physics there is a relationship according to which the deformation of macromolecules can be a consequence of electrical polarization. In quantum mechanics, this effect is expressed as the principle of self-consistency of molecules. At the same time, this connection lies in the underlying mechanisms of the functioning of living systems. The book introduces physical models of the transmission of nerve impulses, cis-trans isomerization of retinal in visual rhodopsin in the light, the mechanism of allosteric effects, the mechanism of rotation of the ATP synthase rotor, the mechanism of the active transport system - the operation of the ¿ion pump¿.

Yoga Science is an ancient Indian discipline that traces its roots back five thousand years to the Vedas, a collection of texts authored by Vedvyas during the Treta Yuga. The essence of Yoga is elucidated within these sacred scriptures, which form part of the Sanatana Dharma and encompass the 4 Vedas, 18 Puranas, and 108 Upanishads. Within the Vedic teachings, the definition of Yoga is expounded. Furthermore, the Yoga Sutras of Maharishi Patanjali, known as Raja Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga, outline the principles of leading a righteous life. These sutras encompass eight limbs, namely: (i) Yama, (ii) Niyama, (iii) Asana, (iv) Pranayama, (v) Pratyahara, (vi) Dharana, (vii) Meditation, and (viii) Samadhi. The practice of these eight limbs enables the awakening of mudras, bandhas, and chakras within the physical body, leading to various health benefits. The book explains in a simplified manner how one can cultivate virtuous living by channeling vital energy through the use of mudras, bandhas, and chakras from the Muladhara Chakra to the Sahasrara Chakra.

This book aims to bring to the center of attention the personality and activities of an important leader among Romanians in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Vasile Goldi¿. He distinguished himself as a defender of the oppressed peoples of the dualistic monarchy, advocating for their rights. In the fall of 1918, he supported the formation of new independent nation-states. In the subsequent years, Goldi¿ increasingly advocated for the idea of European unity, which, in his opinion, was necessary to ensure peace in the area and guarantee the existence of the nation-states that emerged at the end of the First World War.
Phytochemical screening of the crude extract revealed the presence of flavonoids and polyphenolic compounds as major constituents. Polyphenolic compounds, including tannins, exhibit anthelmintic activity. Tannins, found in Elephantopus Scaber extract, may produce similar effects. Another potential anthelmintic mechanism of tannins is binding to free proteins in the host animal's gastrointestinal tract or glycoproteins on the parasite's cuticle, leading to death. The aqueous extract of Elephantopus Scaber demonstrated superior anthelmintic activity in a dose-dependent manner compared to the standard drug. The paralysis and death time of EEES at 100 mg/ml were nearly equivalent to that of the standard drug albendazole. This suggests that the anthelmintic activity of the Elephantopus Scaber extract is comparable to the effect of the standard drug albendazole.
An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the shaking of the surface of the Earth resulting from a sudden release of energy in the Earth's lithosphere that creates seismic waves. Earthquakes can range in intensity, from those that are so weak that they cannot be felt, to those violent enough to propel objects and people into the air, damage critical infrastructure, and wreak destruction across entire cities. The seismic activity of an area is the frequency, type, and size of earthquakes experienced over a particular time. The seismicity at a particular location in the Earth is the average rate of seismic energy release per unit volume. The word tremor is also used for non-earthquake seismic rumbling. At the Earth's surface, earthquakes manifest themselves by shaking and displacing or disrupting the ground. When the epicenter of a large earthquake is located offshore, the seabed may be displaced sufficiently to cause a tsunami. Earthquakes can also trigger landslides.
Umberto Eco (5 January 1932 ¿ 19 February 2016) was an Italian medievalist, philosopher, semiotician, novelist, cultural critic, and political and social commentator. In English, he is best known for his popular 1980 novel The Name of the Rose, a historical mystery combining semiotics in fiction with biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory, as well as Foucault's Pendulum, his 1988 novel, which touches on similar themes. Eco wrote prolifically throughout his life, with his output including children's books and translations from French and English, in addition to a twice-monthly newspaper column "La Bustina di Minerva" (Minerva's Matchbook) in the magazine L'Espresso beginning in 1985, with his last column (a critical appraisal of the Romantic paintings of Francesco Hayez) appearing on January 27, 2016. At the time of his death, he was an Emeritus professor at the University of Bologna, where he taught for much of his life. In the 21st century, he has continued to gain recognition for his 1995 essay "Ur-Fascism", where Eco lists fourteen general properties he believes comprise fascist ideologies.

As we mentioned in our previous works, sometimes in real life cases, it is very difficult to obtain samples from a continuous distribution. The observed values are generally discrete due to the fact that they are not measured in continuum. In some cases, it may be possible to measure the observations via a continuous scale, however, they may be recorded in a manner in which a discrete model seems more suitable. Consequently, the discrete models are appearing quite frequently in applied fields and have attracted the attention of many researchers.Characterizations of distributions are important to many researchers in the applied fields. An investigator will be vitally interested to know if their model fits the requirements of a particular distribution. To this end, one will depend on the characterizations of this distribution which provide conditions under which the underlying distribution is indeed that particular distribution.

The purpose of this quantitative descriptive analysis and synthesis was to review how consciousness emerges in the world given current ontological knowledge of the phenomenon in physics, humanities, and the social sciences. Quantitative descriptive analysis studies provide systematic information about a phenomenon to formulate a hypothesis. This systematic review analyzes and synthesizes the literature on how consciousness emerges in the world published in peer-reviewed English-language journals between 2005 and 2023 to provide insight into how this topic has been theorized and approached. The goal was to examine how this literature characterizes the development of consciousness in human beings to better understand the conceptual relationships underpinning previous studies, and advance work on the nature and origins of consciousness and its relationship to the development of a new psychological theory, i.e., antihuman psychology, related to the origins and nature of the phenomenon.
