DR, a young Chinese man growing up through the political turmoil at the eve of and during the Cultural Revolution, faces forces fighting against the pursuit of such knowledge and more. As his family is persecuted for their intellectualism, his aspiration for college education is denied; as the ideological purging sweeps the nation, his pursuit of truth and higher understanding never wavers. This pursuit of truth continues into DR's adult life as he emigrates to the United States, encountering a society with fewer ideological limitations, but one that offers new complexities and worldviews to grapple with ranging from capitalism to middle class, from liberalism to conservatism, from democracy to human civilization. As DR ages, readers are given deep insight into his rich interior life of political and philosophical contemplation.

This book discusses a battle of ideologies that has lasted over a century and continues today, pitting those who defend the American Experiment and the constitutional structure against those who seek to replace that structure with one that empowers them to implement their ideas with little or no popular input.Progressives want governance by experts - bureaucrats with administrative power to make political judgments on how people must live, thereby narrowing the realm of their liberty. They expand the administrative state and create an identity of interest with Big Business. Both groups want an ever-expanding government: one motivated by power, the other by money. For its part, Big Business has set up camp on Capitol Hill, lavishly funding establishment politicians, of both parties, who rationalize the need for campaign money to the detriment of waging the good fight. Together, politicians and their cronies elbow the citizen off the policy-making stage. However, this state of affairs is kindling the passions of the constitutional structure''s greatest "check" on government excess - the American people. This is a fight that can be won. Deconstructing the Administrative State offers the blueprint for victory. Emmett McGroarty is a senior fellow at the AmericanPrinciples Project Foundation (APPF). He is a graduateof Georgetown University and Fordham School of Law.Jane Robbins is a senior fellow at APPF. She is agraduate of Clemson University (the 2016 nationalfootball champions) and Harvard Law School.Erin Tuttle is a policy analyst at APPF anda graduate of Indiana University.

When he opened his eyes that morning, eight-year-old Jason could tell something was terribly wrong. He looked through the door of his room to the hallway. The preacher was there, and some people whom he didn't know were milling around. Then Mom came into the room. Her face was pale. Her eyes were red. She quietly told him the horrible news: his father had killed himself. That moment started a whirlwind in his heart and mind that would last for a long, long time. Full of questions, he struggled in the months to come to find answers. Although Mom was immersed in her own grief, she tried to help him find the strength and understanding that could lead him through the darkness. This is the true story of a young boy who faced one of the most devastating situations in human existence: the suicide death of a parent. As seen through the eyes and felt in the heart of a child, the story will help caregivers gain an understanding of how the pain and reactions of grieving children differ from those of adults. The reader can find ways to help the grieving child in their life by reading about the journey of one who has experienced it and has been able to go on with his life. The story carries with it a strong message of hope and resolution for both the child and the caregiver. It will give insight into the thoughts of a child who is suffering a traumatic loss and provide tools to help the caregiver care for themselves as well. Fran Cote' is a transplanted southern lady who lives in the beautiful Ozark hills of Missouri. She holds a Master of Arts in counseling and worked in the mental health field for twenty years, specializing in adolescent and family therapy. She has taught undergraduate college classes and self-help seminars on stress management.

ABOUT THE AUTHORI’m a native of Cairo, Georgia and the son of a former banker and school teacher. When I was four, the family moved to Dublin, Georgia (my father’s home town). Prior to beginning the first grade we moved to Lyons, Georgia. Here I lived for the next fifty-five years except for my college days at Georgia Southern College where I earned a business degree. I would attend school, grow up, marry, raise two children, work in the nuclear industry, fight cancer, retire, and get another college degree in history while living in Lyons. Since 2016, my wife and I have lived in Statesboro, Georgia. My love of American history, mostly the War between the Sates era, interested my joining the Sons of Confederate Veterans where I am a past commander of the local camp and the Military Order of the Stars and Bars where I served as chaplain. I’ve given talks to schools and to camps about various events during those turbulent days in our nation’s history. Other interests include painting (mostly bricks) and college football.I’m a Christian and have been active in my church in roles as deacon, Sunday school teacher, various committees, and even the choir once. Presently, I’m sharing a daily devotional called From My Rocker with my social media friends. Hopefully, I will be able to publish a devotional book once I have enough entries.    To reach me see my fan page on Facebook.

  • - A true crime story of murder and redemption
    by John P Contini
    £14.99

Liberty Press announces the release of Danger Road: A true crime story of murder and redemption, by criminal defense lawyer and author John P. Contini. Contini was the trial lawyer who defended Gilbert Fernandez, Jr., the former Miami-Dade police officer once named, Miamis Meanest Cop. Danger Road is the riveting courtroom drama that recreates the true crime story of three drug dealers who were brutally murdered in 1983 on a lonely stretch of dirt road - ironically named Danger Road, in the Florida Everglades. Each victim had hoped this final drug deal in Hollywood, Florida would be their big retirement score. Instead, the drug dealers allegedly found themselves at the end of a gun wielded by Metro Dade officer Gilbert Fernandez, Jr., and eventually along Danger Road in Miamis Everglades. Fernandez, formerly known as a Mr. Florida bodybuilding champion, kick boxing champion and black-belt karate instructor, was also alleged to be the muscle for the mob in South Florida. He and his crew were not there to arrest the drug dealers that night, according to police - they were there to kill them and steal their nine kilos of cocaine.

  • - Political Shock and Awe Provided by Reagan and Trump Utter Disbelief and Anger Experienced by the Left, Liberal Media and Political Elites
by Kevin J (Pacific Lutheran University USA) O'Brien
    £13.99

There is no denying that many were shocked, both positively and negatively, in witnessing Donald Trump become the next President of the United States in his election in 2016. However, for author Kevin O'Brien, the election of Trump to office is reminiscent of the election of Ronald Reagan: rogue politicians who became, and are becoming, presidents of the people. His new book, The Rogue Effect, provides a presidential study on the two men who were underdogs in the election, only to surprise many as Republican leaders ready to face a President vs. Congress battle for the American people's welfare. Kevin also dissects each administration's viewpoints on domestic issues, from immigration to today's Obamacare, and how they both held their own against the media and politics. To Kevin, President Trump has the potential to "make American great again", just as President Reagan revived America as the "shining city on a hill".
