As Bella's mom, Becca Vry, witnessed their reactions and listened to their questions during Bella's presentation of her project, she was struck by the complex questions and observations the children made following the reading of the story. Realizing how many "teaching moments" existed as the children's questions unfolded in the post-project discussion after the presentation, Becca grew inspired to compose a study guide based on the children's reactions and the ten IB attributes encouraging all learners to become: balanced, caring, communicators, inquirers, knowledgeable, open-minded, principled, risk-takers, thinkers and reflective.
