Dear Reader, If you consider yourselves a busy person, one that goes from task to task with little respite in-between, then this book is made to order for you. On the other hand, if you do not have time constraints, you will have the luxury of reading and discussing these stories with your friends. I believe my book is full of bang-bang short stories with multiple plots that might fi t into your on-the-move regimen. If entertainment is your motivation, you, too, are a splendid candidate to keep "Different Coins in the Fountain" by your favorite chair or by the side of your bed. Any lifestyle can benefi t from minutes or hours of reading stories that are succinct. Since we come from different cultures, fl ipping "coins" onto a fountain represent our hopes to obtain the similar things in life that we all cherish. We are inclined to be tempted to be at the "fountain". How would you sum up your story? Everyone has a story, and, at different stages of life, there's a different story. Sincerely,Carlos V. Cornejo

Two boys grow up during World War II, Gerard in New England, Morgen in Berlin. They live parallel lives: their families experience similar changes, similar suffering. The world says they are enemies. What makes an enemy? Why are people designated as enemies? If these two later met, what would they think of each other?WWII and the Hitler’s elimination of the undesirables alter the daily lives of both boys immeasurably. Morgen’s father, a pacifist doctor, deserts his own troops and escapes with a Viennese friend, himself a marked man. The parallel situations of the two boys and their families balance the two sides of the war. We see, not the propaganda, but the real effects the war had on civilians in both countries. We also see the ‘forgotten’ undesirables such as Gypsies, homosexuals, blacks and Japanese-Americans. Woven into all these lives is the quest for sanity and freedom from hatred.
These are fascinating stories in that each carries a pearl of wisdom. These stories are short but full of wit and contain life lessons that are applicable to most of us. Although originally intended to help his students become successful in their career, the book has become increasingly popular among people of all walks of life. Some of these stories contain valuable advice to help make right decisions and to live a good life. The characters in the stories are humans as well as animals with characteristic human qualities and hence the reason this book is so engaging and rewarding.
This book is about philosophy, romance, and poetic love letters, and about the war in Lebanon. The rest are about his life stories.
A story of endurance against the odds. There is a dearth of literature by disabled, working-class authors. This is the account of an autistic author, though one gifted with literary ability. Lucien Bracquemont is eager to share his story, to help others understand the realities and issues facing those on the autistic spectrum, and to provide a voice for others on the spectrum. He has had much contact with the mentally and otherwise challenged members of the community. This work is emotionally charged in places and transparent, with a message of hope and understanding.
We often allow the external world to define us and tell us who we are, but in truth this is not us. At our core we are something much more than the masks we put on with family, friends, and at work. There is a light within us emanating from our heart, and when we remember it we begin living our truth. Through a traumatic injury Trey began looking at himself only to realize he had no idea who he was. Evergreen brings to life Trey’s vision of waking up to our true nature within. We are already enough.
There are two grades of human beings, high and low. Their grades have nothing to do with material wealth, title etc . . . But have something to do with character wealth. These character grades determine whether one is likeable or not, and if one lives a happy and meaningful life or not. High grades enrich other's lives while low grades tire and bore others. High character grade doesn't mean "perfect" but is the one and probably the only one important factor in life. Not only in relating to others but also in relation to oneself. Material wealth doesn't matter much once economic independence is achieved, but character wealth matters most in life. For instance, high grades are always sufficient in life no matter what, while low grades are always insufficient. Not only that, you always have to be careful of low grades since they are opportunistic and manipulative, therefore using others. While high grades are genuine, therefore enriching not only other's lives but also their own lives.

For Jesse Riddle, time had brought too much change. Caught between the excitement of life on Harrison Avenue and his commitment to the Lord, it was time to decide. Work in the mines had exposed him to a new world of hard living and excitement. He knew the direction his life was taking was hurting his preacher-father, and he could not let that go on. As a boy, the church had been the center of his life. Now, he was being drawn to the exciting life that could be found in the saloons. Soon, he gained a reputation as a man to stand aside for on the Avenue. Yet, he could not shake the commitment he had made to the Lord. He needed to get away for a while where he could think. The mountains had always been his place of sanctuary. Would he find the answers there?

Rolled, silver white hair created a halo about the woman's head. The lamplight cast oblique shadows on her delicate, high cheekbones. Kathleen's throat tightened and felt dry. She trembled slightly as she spoke. She was a reasonably intelligent, thirty-eight-year-old woman quite capable of comprehending all that had been depicted and yet, the shocking concept of the old woman's claim was loathsome and incredulous. Acceptance of such cruel allegations against her grandmother, whom she so admired, was totally denied. In this emotionally charged family saga, Kathleen is shocked to learn of her grandmother's wicked past from her Great Aunt Rose. As if the shocking revelations aren't hard enough for Kathleen to deal with, she is forced to make a decision that will determine the course of her future.

This book is a discussion on the Age of Aquarius that has arrived within the past few years. The subjects affects us all. I gave my opinion on what are some characteristics of this Age and Spirituality. The Holy Spirit is present and a new spirituality will emerge from this Age. The changes that this Age will present is the first that we as an intelligent race can document. I know quite a lot about this Age and I explain how that is so.
This book was written to address all of the problems that the world face today. I asked God to write this book, and I hope these are His words. You must read for yourself and see if you want to participate in this revolutionary approach to addressing the problems that face the world today. I think it would be a wonderful adventure for any one that wish to explore this with us. I recommend you talk to God about it before you make up your mind. No matter what the results, I am sure that those who participate will be on a journey to a wonderful life.

“The Little Eater of Bleeding Hearts is a testimony of a milieu and of an era that history has no right to erase.” ANTONINE MAILLET Very rarely do Americans dare to write in French nowadays. The author, Norman Beaupré, has a special talent for doing so. He's the one who translated his original autobiographical novel, Le Petit Mangeur de Fleurs(The Little Eater of Flowers), with a sensitivity to words as well as an exceptional authenticity in expressing his thoughts on his own growing up. One could easily say that it is the merger of the simplicity of a child with the wisdom of one who has struggled to maintain his own cultural identity as a Francophone writer. The author revealed, during one interview in France, that he found the work authentic for many reasons but especially because he had to recollect memories from long past that were, and still are, painful to him. The Francophone population of New England laments the erosion of its language and culture. Each one struggles in his own way attempting to remain faithful to the collective identity they grew up with. Norman Beaupré, while playing with words and sometimes with bleeding hearts, dares to become, by doing so, one of the standard bearers of the ethnic group to which he belongs. This work not only touches upon memories of growing up but the very lives with which the author came into contact from as far as he can remember up to his late teens. A work of cultural richness and pride(fierté), as a reader from Dijon, France, once expressed to the author at a Salon du Livre that he attended in 2007.
This book consists of two parts: 108 Chinese poems from ShiJing, which mainly coming from the first section of ShiJing and 108 ancient Chinese quatrains before 77 BC, in English, Chinese and French. We tried to use latest interpretations published in China to avoid misunderstanding on original texts. For the titles we tried to translate their meaning as close to the original as possible so as to maintain the ancient styles. We also made corrections on some missed words, lines, and misinterpreted terms on few flowers and plants etc. Your criticism is welcomed, please contact at seng.du@gmail.com.
