“There are many fine books about working with our etheric cousins, the Sidhe, but few that show us from the inside out what such a partnership can be like. Drawing on her own experiences, Anne Gambling offers us this perspective. Using a bard’s creative skill with prose and poetry, her words, known and invented, draw us deep into the heartspace and worldspace of a Sidhe-human alliance, partnering with Gaia and singing the songs of sacredness echoed by all life around us. This is not a book simply to be read but an experience which we can inhabit and which can enrich us in so doing.” David Spangler, author of Journey into Fire, Subtle Worlds, Card Deck of the Sidhe, Working with Subtle Energies, Apprenticed to Spirit, Conversations with the Sidhe and many others.
With authenticity and honesty, Claire Blatchford writes from the heart of her experiences in facing the challenges of living with Parkinson's Disease as it has been manifesting in the body of her husband, Ed. In so doing, she gives us a book that is not only informative and helpful for anyone else navigating these same challenges but one that is healing as well.I believe this book offers the invaluable gift to anyone dealing with Parkinson's, either directly as a patient or indirectly as a caregiver, of being seen, heard, and understood. It leaves you feeling that you're not alone. This in itself makes this book worthwhile for anyone dealing with this disease. But Claire does more than this. Through the largeness of her own spirit, she enables any of us to feel, whether Parkinson's Disease is part of our life or not, that we are not alone, period. Claire is a beautiful writer whose skill with words and images I admire and envy, but she is more than this. In showing us the spirit we all have within us, connecting us to the wholeness of life, Claire is a healer, which makes this book a healer's gift.

“Techno-elementals” are subtle beings that align themselves with human technology and artifacts. This book explores the emerging life of technology, It describes some of the effects the technological environment has on our humanity and the dangers and opportunities that lie ahead. To understand techno-elementals, we need to stretch into unfamiliar territory—to see the subtle realms as an ecosystem and subtle beings as living organisms. This writing seeks to introduce people to the reality, the wonder, and the naturalness of the non-physical world around us.
This is my third anthology of stories. Because each of them was written as a Christmas present for family and friends, all six stories have a Christmas theme. But Christmas to me is a time of wonderment, so I think of these really as stories of wonder. They all have an element of magic to them, but then so do our lives. So really these stories are about who we are when we look beneath the surface of our lives and of our everyday world. They each arise from my sense of who we are as human beings and as spiritual beings. At Christmastime, we may come closest to touching the wonder of our deeper selves, but this experience is available to us any time, not just once a year.So I think of these stories as more than just Christmas tales. My hope is that whenever you read them, they will brighten your heart and bring delight to your day. May you experience in reading them all the joy I felt in writing them.David Spangler, November, 2015
The catastrophe of losing language is told by a lover of observation willing to dig deep into essential memories of self. The author tells the tender, sometimes horrifying present lived without language, visions of an uncertain future, and unexpected creativity from the chaos. To speak at all was to locate the fewest words to express anything. Returning to language and writing the author uses spare sensory language in vivid touching ways to evoke her experiences for the reader. Non-verbal languages are surprising and transformative parts of her journey through art, music, body practices, and mysticismThese Tales are for anyone who loves a journey, stories that incite the imagination, to experience the unthinkable. These are Tales for those have calamitous chaotic events and illnesses in their lives who yearn to see affirmation that life is, in fact, possible, with possibilities not dreamed, despite circumstances.
This book is based on a series of conversations between the Sidhe and David Spangler. It offers a fresh vision of the "Faery worlds" and invites the reader into a new relationship with these "People of Peace". Unfolding within these pages is a remarkable record of communication with the "Shining Ones", our ancient kin. It is filled with wonder, exercises, methods of contact and practical wisdom.
Who am I? Why am I here? What is my life about? These are the questions that have shaped philosophy religion, and human civilization as a whole. They are also the questions we use to shape and measure our own individual lives. And in the uncertainty of the present, we struggle perhaps more than ever before. There is opportunity but also discouragement. We yearn for an interior sense of direction, we listen for a call.In this fascinating discussion, David Spangler presents fresh insights about what motivates us, inspires us, transforms us, and sustains us. He examines the impulses behind what we choose to value in life-the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual framework within which we conduct ourselves. For thinkers, seekers, and anyone looking for the courage simply to be themselves, The Call offers gently provocative thoughts on the content and character of our destiny.
In the midst of the eighteenth-century Enlightenment, a handful of British intellectuals turned their backs on the social and cultural trends of their time and set out to reinvent the spirituality of the ancient Druids. The movement that rose out of this effort played a central role in struggles for cultural identity in most of the Celtic nations of Europe, provided inspiration to such world-class creative talents as William Blake and Frank Lloyd Wright, and inspired an innovative tradition of Western nature spirituality that remains active to this day. The Druid Revival Reader provides the first collection of original writings from that movement. Its selections, beginning with William Stukeley''s survey of Druid theology from 1743 and ending with Ross Nichols'' 1947 essay "An Examination of Creative Myth," cover two centuries in the life of an evolving tradition. Edited and introduced by contemporary Druid John Michael Greer, The Druid Revival Reader is essential for understanding the sources of modern Druid and Pagan traditions, and offers a wealth of insights relevant to the ecological and spiritual crises of our own time.
Since its origins in the early eighteenth century, Druidry-a modern movement of nature spirituality drawing much of its inspiration from Celtic tradition-has evolved a rich body of ceremonial and collective practice. Celebrated privately within groves this body of lore provides a ritual framework for the celebration of the seasonal cycle and the spiritual development of the individual. To this wealth of tradition, The Druid Grove Handbook is one of the few publicly available sources. Compiled from the records of the Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA), and edited by the AODA's current Grand Archdruid, widely read author and environmental blogger John Michael Greer, it provides a detailed survey of the evolution of AODA's ceremonial traditions, and the complete rituals for opening and closing a Druid grove, initiating candidates for membership, and celebrating the solstices and equinoxes, the four primary holy days of the traditional Druid year.
