There seems to be a growing interest in a drug called ivermectin to treat humans with COVID-19. Ivermectin is often used in the U.S. to treat or prevent parasites in animals. The FDA has received multiple reports of patients who have required medical support and been hospitalized after self-medicating with ivermectin intended for horses.Ivermectin is a broad spectrum anti-parasitic agent, included in WHO essential medicines list for several parasitic diseases. It is used in the treatment of onchocerciasis (river blindness), strongyloidiasis and other diseases caused by soil transmitted helminthiasis. It is also used to treat scabies.A guideline development group was convened in response to the increased international attention on ivermectin as a potential treatment for COVID-19. This group is an independent, international panel of experts, which includes clinical care experts in multiple specialties and also includes an ethicist and patient-partners.The group reviewed pooled data from 16 randomized controlled trials (total enrolled 2407), including both inpatients and outpatients with COVID-19. They determined that the evidence on whether ivermectin reduces mortality, need for mechanical ventilation, need for hospital admission and time to clinical improvement in COVID-19 patients is of "very low certainty," due to the small sizes and methodological limitations of available trial data, including small number of events.GET YOUR COPY TODAY BY SCROLLING UP AND CLICKING BUY NOW TO GET YOUR COPY TODAY and say no to the apocalypse
Le Bon's superb and innovative study of crowd psychology is published here without abridgment.First appearing in the 1890s, Gustav Le Bon's account of the crowd is an important work of early psychology. In life, Le Bon was famous for mastering aspects of several scientific disciplines, forging progress in each. This is true with his investigations on crowd psychology compiled in this book.Le Bon first examines the mental characteristics of all crowds. What opinions a crowd may form about aspects remote to it, and close to it, are discussed. All are impeccably and comprehensively categorized by Le Bon, who turns to each in detail. The book's final stages classify various different crowds. He discusses types of crowd defined as criminal - such as rioters and looters.

About the author: Saint Nektarios the Wonderworker (1846-1920) has become one of the most well-known and much beloved Orthodox Christian saints of the contemporary age since his saintly glorification in 1961. Born in Selymbria in the Ottoman Empire, he was educated in Constantinople and in Athens. At the age of 30, he was tonsured a monk and given the name ''Nektarios'' on the island of Chios and then ordained as a deacon three years later. It was during his years as a deacon and student of theology in Athens that Saint Nektarios first honed his skills as a preacher, for which he would later be renowned. The ten homilies compiled in the present book were delivered towards the end of this period, during and around Saint Nektarios''s final Great Lent as a deacon. With topics ranging from the free will of man, repentance, confession, and the Holy Eucharist, these sermons bring to light the emerging brilliance of the saint as a young man. Not only do they demonstrate his deep knowledge for the Holy Scriptures and an understanding of the human person, which can only come from a grace-filled spiritual life and devotion to God, but his sharp intellect and familiarity with subjects outside of scripture and patristics, as he draws examples from history, literature, and the Greek and Latin philosophers with great ease, bringing everything together to craft practical pastoral exhortations. These sermons were, without a doubt, immeasurably beneficial to the souls who heard him in person, as they will be to anyone who reads these words today.

This edition of Lilith: The Legend of the First Woman contains illustrated depictions of the mythic Lilith, in her role within the garden of Eden.Collier uses poetry to detail an account of Lilith as an alternative narrative of the Book of Genesis. Originating from Rabbinic circles, the notion of Lilith was as Adam's first wife, with her expulsion taking place before God created Eve as her replacement. Drawing upon aspects of Jewish, Christian and Islamic law, Collier ably details Lilith's characteristics - she appears not as a malevolent demon or temptress, but as an intelligent being with a great capacity for affection. Owing to the interpretation being in verse form, we may observe an aesthetic description of the Garden of Eden and the circumstances of Lilith's arrival there.A fascinating interpretation of ancient myths, Lilith: The Legend of the First Woman is a worthwhile and intriguing read for those interested in Old Testament lore and Lilith as legend.
