Double Trouble with Dick and Jane was inspired by the true story of Dick and Jane's lives. The format of this book is in individual vignettes. It can be started and stopped according to the attention span and interest of the child. Each vignette depicts real antics of these abandoned, and subsequently, rescued puppies. The ending of Double Trouble with Dick and Jane identifies values that children can learn through the eyes and behaviors of puppies: It is my hope that the reader and the child can incorporate these values into their own lives.

George Washington, who would later become our nations first president, discovers that the Constitution is missing. In its place is a strange riddle. Mariana and her new friends set out to solve the riddle. Instead of finding the Constitution they find two more riddles. Can the team solve the riddles and get the Constitution back in time to get the Constitution signed by all the delegates? Will Mariana get back to the portal in time before it closes and she is trapped in 1787 forever? The nations future is resting on the team.
