Since its invention in the early 1970, the use of demand for optical fiber has grown tremendously. The uses of optical fiber today are quite numerous. With the explosion of information traffic due to the Internet, voice, data, and ,electronic commerce, computer networks and multimedia video, the need for a transmission medium with the bandwidth capabilities for handling such vast amounts of information is paramount. Fiber optics, with its comparatively infinite bandwidth, has proven to be the solution. Optical fiber is also used extensively for transmission of data signals, these data need secure, reliable systems to transfer computer and monetary information between buildings, to the desktop terminal or computer, and around the world. The high information-carrying capacity, or bandwidth, of fiber makes it the perfect choice for transmitting signals.

In this study, we report on the radon concentration levels, in the houses of Rafah city during summer season of the year 2016 using the CR-39 track detectors. Passive diffusion Radon dosimeters containing CR-39 solid state nuclear track detectors of good quality were used to measure Radon and its daughter's concentrations throughout Rafah city. Our sampling strategy was to distribute the dosimeters in houses in Rafah city (Tal El Soltan , Balad(Rafah camp) and El Genena) at different geographic parts of the region. These dosimeters were randomly distributed in bedroom, living room and kitchen. The (150) detectors were left for about three months during the period from June to August of 2016. The collected detectors were chemically etched by using NaOH of (6M) concentration at temperature 700C for a period of about 5 hours. Each detector was counted visually using an optical microscope with power of (40*10). Tracks in the three distinct regions of Rafah city were observed, through the area (1cm2), then average number of tracks/mm2 was detected at all the regions was 73.8 Bq/m3 (1.99 pCi/l) with a range of values between 16.5 and 150.4 Bq/m3 (0.44 and 4.06 pCi/l).

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV55) radiatn may cause the significant degradation of many materials. UV radiation causes photooxidative degradation which results in breaking of the polymer chains, produces free radical and reduces the molecular weight, causing deterioration of mechanical properties and leading to useless materials, after an unpredictable time. Polystyrene (PS), one of the most important material in the modern plastic industry, has been used all over the world, due to its excellent physical properties and low-cost. When polystyrene is subjected to UV irradiation in the presence of air, it undergoes a rapid yellowing and a gradual embrittlement. The mechanism of PS photolysis in the solid state (film) depends on the mobility of free radicals in the polymer matrix and their bimolecular recombination. Free hydrogen radicals diffuse very easily through the polymer matrix and combine in pairs or abstract hydrogen atoms from polymer molecule. Phenyl radical has limited mobility. They may abstract hydrogen from the near surrounding or combine with a polymer radical or with hydrogen radicals.

This document seeks to present knowledge about the students, the learning process, and mainly about classroom instruction to both current and future teachers. Teaching is one of the important jobs where the teacher plays the roles of: a leader, an effective speaker, a quick diagnostician, a tactful diplomat, and a firm but fair disciplinarian. Teachers have to be "on" all the time and they do not leave their jobs behind when they go home at the end of the day. Good teachers know their subject matter and have mastered pedagogical skills. They accomplish all the tasks involved in effective instruction with warmth, enthusiasm, and caring. Good teachers are also critical thinkers and self-regulated and use educational psychology¿s principles when making a decision and when teaching. They combine research and common sense. In the same sense; the field of educational psychology is the systematic study of learners, learning, and teaching. It focuses on the processes by which information, skills, values, and attitudes are communicated between teachers and students in the classroom and on applications of the principles of psychology to instructional practices.

In this research, the different modes of the 33-bus network were investigated with open DSS and MATLAB software. The simulation program was implemented using the colonial competition algorithm in two general sections. In the first case, loads were considered constant, and in the second case, they were probably modeled. Each of these states had sub-sections. In these sub-sections, location and measurement of photovoltaic sources were investigated. The specified objective functions were also explored separately to provide a comprehensive form of the proposed method. The results of the simulation with MATLAB with the help of open DSS indicated that by using the optimal location and measurement of the photovoltaic power plant, the system losses could be significantly reduced and the quality of the delivered power to the subscribers could be improved. By improving the voltage profile of the buses of the power system, subscribers would have a higher quality power. Finding the optimal size and place of the photovoltaic power plant using a multi-criteria objective function was investigated in this book.

Traditional pest management strategies could be replaced by the potential of nanotechnology as an effective and viable approach to alleviate problems pertaining to pest control given the unique characteristics of that technology, especially the metal nanoparticles. In this research, we synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) by the chemical reduction method. The instrumentation such as TEM, SEM, UV-visible spectroscopy was used to reveal the morphology and size of nanoparticles (which was the seam grain with rough ends in AgNPs and size ranged between 20-50 nm), (the shape was amorphous with sharp edges, 60-128 nm in ZnONPs) and the characterization of bought Silica nanoparticles indicates that was approximately spherical with the diameter between 20-60nm. In bioassays, larvae were exposed to a series concentration of Ag, ZnO and SiO NPs by feeding and dipping method. Mortality rates obtained with SiO, ZnO and Ag NPs at the highest concentration were 90 %,86 % and 60 %, respectively. ZnO nanoparticles reach the high percentages in inhibition of pupation and inhibition of adult formation (100% in both).

The purpose of this book is to make available to the student some fundamentals of mathematical analysis. Specifically, it is intended to make such fundamentals available in a form that meets their need in many applications, like real analysis, integration, measure theory, and representation theory. The principal point of view is to develop the basic structures of analysis, under which one can appropriately go on further in the domain of functional analysis. The book is intended to be essentially self contained and accessible to well-trained under graduated students. Its prerequisites are elementary standards from basic algebra. In writing this book, we care about doing things as little abstract as possible. So, to make easy the access to the main concepts, each section of each chapter is illustrated by simple examples and exercises, which are mostly applications to concrete problems.

Developing valid measures of abstract constructs is essential to the advancement of psychological and educational research. The most common practice in scale development consists of an administering a group of items intended to measure the same construct and subsequently aggregating the responses to form total a scale value. Besides, reliability of scores, number of underlying constructs, and scale construction practices should empirically test the assumptions of equal item weighting and the linear treatment of scales can represent the quantity of a trait held by an individual. Based on the perspective of using Rasch Model as a model in one sense in that it represents the structure which data should exhibit in order to obtain measurements from the data; i.e. it provides a criterion for successful measurement. As such, measuring the lecturers¿ beliefs needs a measurable instrument to be developed and tested in order to clarify how beliefs reform lecturers¿ teaching functions and practices. This book is mainly on how to use Rasch Model analysis as a powerful tool for evaluating constructs validity of the instrument for interpretation the lecturers¿ beliefs on teaching functions.

Sudan is considered a multi ethnic, regional, cultural and religious ingredients country. As a result of this diversity the ingredients engaged in numerous civil wars. The conflict of South Sudan was the first and largest; In return, many efforts were made to solve this conflict; the last was the CPA signed in Nivasha in 2005; which put an end to the South war, and granted the people of South Sudan the right of self-determination by the end of the transitional period in 2011. In the end, the Southerners chose separation and declared the South Sudan State. The secession was the result of several factors which collaborated together and both North and South Sudan were affected negatively. This discussion targeted to research these means by its internal and external sections; also the result of secession of both sides. The study also targeted the analysis and evaluation of the CPA and quest of the possibility of unity between North and South once more.

Writing is not a simple activity as a few people may consider; it is a sort of challenging task, when it is compared with various language abilities, such as reading, listening and speaking which needs a lesser amount of effort. Writing is a significant challenging process, especially for second language learners and foreign language learners. Most language learners at all stages feel that writing is probably the most challenging language ability to be mastered and it is a progressing advanced skillfulness in contrast with other capacities. Writing in English is supposed to stand as a critical talent for accomplishment in the current international economy. Several specialists would go further to say that when there is a lack of experts in English reading and writing, a job would be slightly inadequate if it includes doing business in English-speaking countries at even a fundamental level. Consequently, it is suggested that English writing becomes a need for any comprehensive director who needs to develop his or her career in the universal market.

Bioinformatics has been evolved into a critical inter-disciplinary field that benefits studies in both molecular biology and computer science. On the one hand, it grants the possibility to comprehend biological information and process in a more effective and efficient way by employing computational technologies to extracting knowledge from dense amounts of intermixed biological data; on the other hand, it provides a new and complex domain for researching advanced algorithms and techniques for data analysis. Nevertheless, bioinformatics also poses a great challenge to grasp for both computer science and biology majors due to its interdisciplinary and advanced natures. As many bioinformatics software tools are generally involved in analysis tasks, scientists are more and more requiring that these heterogeneous bioinformatics tools be integrated in a uniform way. They are also requiring graphical user interfaces of these tools, and the ability to compose workflows without much programming effort.

In the last 15¿20 years, pulsed laser deposition (PLD) has emerged as one of the most popular and intrinsically simple techniques for depositing a wide range of the most exciting materials being explored for next generation applications. Such sustained popularity is due to the inherent versatility, flexibility, and speed of a process that can be applied to essentially any material, from simple metals, through binary compounds, to multi-component high-quality single crystals. Pulsed laser deposition had several characteristics that made it remarkably competitive in the complex thin-film research arena as compared to other film growth techniques. These principle attractive features were stoichiometric transfer, and simplicity in initial setup and in the investigation of arbitratry compounds. One could rapidly investigate thin-film deposition of nearly any compound regardless of the complexity of the crystal chemistry.
