Law 54 of 1990 recognised property rights for heterosexual couples who lived together without being married. Subsequently, there were other forms of cohabitation between same-sex couples, who claimed their rights; the Court in Ruling T-911/ 2009, ordered in their favour the application of regulations in the sense of equity, with regard to property rights, then, in SU214/2016, the same body granted them the right to marry. Currently, there is a new alternative for family life, such as the formation of 'group families' represented in triads or quadriads, composed of homosexual or heterosexual persons, giving rise to legal consequences of a patrimonial and cultural nature that the Colombian legal system is not able to contemplate. The aim of this work is to formulate legal tools that allow for the recognition of the right to enter into civil marriages for group families, composed of heterosexual or homosexual persons, where the purpose is to receive protection of their rights.
Technical advances in radiological and endoscopic imaging have transformed medicine over the last seven decades. Because of its remarkable accessibility, the digestive tract has benefited fully from the endoscopic approach. There is an upper digestive tract and a lower digestive tract. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosing the upper gastrointestinal tract above the TREITZ angle. It is a method of visual exploration of the upper digestive tract through an optical tube fitted with a lighting system called an endoscope or fiberscope. This examination enables direct exploration of the mucosa of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, in order to detect abnormalities and take samples. It is both diagnostic and therapeutic. It is performed through the natural tract, or through an incision that allows it to penetrate certain body cavities. Depending on the technique used, the procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia.
The aim of this work is to assess the Brazilian state's compliance with the judgement of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the case of Gomes Lund et al. It found that the Inter-American System for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights was inaugurated in 1948 with the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man and became an important mechanism for realising human rights on the continent in 1979, with the establishment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. In 2010, the Court found that Brazil had violated human rights recognised in the Pact of San José de Costa Rica. These violations occurred when the Brazilian state used excessive force to carry out a series of military activities aimed at eliminating an armed resistance movement to the government regime, which was being organised on the banks of the Araguaia River. It was noted that the sentence condemning the Brazilian state listed 12 reparation measures and that, despite the state's efforts, only four of these measures were fully complied with. Thus, it was concluded that the Brazilian state had partially complied with the sentence.
Born in 1826, Francisco Paulo de Almeida was the son of a slave and had his name erased from history. What are the reasons for the silence surrounding the life of this man with no real assets, in a period and space considered restricted and slave-like, who began life as a goldsmith, was a muleteer, belonged to the coffee oligarchy and owned several farms in the Paraíba valley, owned the Yellow Palace in Petrópolis and lived in Catete. He rose to nobility with the title of Baron of Guaraciaba and was a friend of Princess Isabel? Questions such as: What power relations were established by and for blacks who managed to occupy posts, titles and positions seen as "proper" to whites? What were the implications of holding the title of baronet in 19th century Brazil? What were the benefits and their implications? What were the specificities of being black and a baron in Brazil in the second half of the 19th century? What do these considerations reveal about that time, its customs and social relations? Finally, what did it mean for a black man to be part of this political and social high street?
Previously dominated by a few monthly magazines, journalism specializing in automobiles has been invaded by the agility of the internet and by several professionals working in other areas - not just journalists, but also engineers, pilots and even simple car enthusiasts without any academic preparation for the practice of journalism. Based on the theories of Zygmunt Bauman on liquid modernity and Anthony Giddens on expert systems, the author traces a profile of journalism since its inception, goes through the internet revolution, analyzes the automobile as a symbol of capitalism, observes the difficult transition from print to online journalism, reveals various facets of Automotive Journalism and ends by identifying changes in the social role of journalists. As the automobile has become an object of desire, undergoing constant updates, Automotive Journalism has had to rush to adapt. But this process has no deadline.
In this thesis, we describe the main contributions of our research activities. These activities fall within the theme of software architectures in an embedded distributed real-time context (TR2E). Four main contributions are described: dynamic reconfiguration, fault tolerance, multi-objective optimization and formal verification of TR2E systems. All these contributions are based on architecture description languages (ADLs) as the main modelling pillar. This is due to the very powerful expressive power of ADLs, which enable the global architecture of a system to be described before using model transformation and code generation techniques to carry out the various actions relating to each of the contributions. We make extensive use of these techniques to maximize automation and reduce the amount of code written by hand by the developer.
Rubem Alves once said that the birth of thought is like the birth of a child: it all begins with an act of love. It is with this in mind that we present this book, the fruit of many hands, many sleepless nights and a lot of planning. This book was conceived on the occasion of the first year of operation of ProGest - the Pregnancy Care Extension Programme, no longer as an extension project, but as an Extension Programme! In the next few lines, dear reader, you will be invited to explore the origins of Extension in Brazil, through its consolidation at our Federal University of Cariri (UFCA), located in the interior of the state of Ceará, Brazil, and ending with the creation of the Programme! We have prepared, in accessible and cohesive language, a compilation of our activities based on the most refined state of the art in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, hoping to be useful to those who leaf through these pages. In any case, enjoy your reading and may it be as pleasurable as it was to make. ProGest 2016 Team.
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic pathology on the rise. Because of the physical and psychological symptoms suffered by its sufferers, it represents a major health problem, since it has repercussions on both their social and professional quality of life, with a direct impact on the business economy and health. Objective: To study the problems posed by FM in the day-to-day lives of workers, in order to identify the factors that facilitate and those that hinder their ability to maintain their professional activities, and thus their personal development and/or socio-professional reintegration. Methodology: We conducted a qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with a sample of eleven women diagnosed with FM and working in different companies. Results: Symptom management and recognition of one's limitations are mentioned by our participants as levers for maintaining professional activity. On the other hand, the pathology itself hinders the continuation of work. In addition, work demands and social support influence job retention in our population.
The need to guide the family of a girl with Down syndrome, 9 years old, to achieve the development of her basic motor skills is the problem that gave rise to the present research, carried out with the methodology of the case study of this family. The general objective is to propose a system of family-oriented workshops for the development of basic motor skills in a girl with Down syndrome. The criterion of the integral approach of the methods and techniques of scientific research was assumed, using methods from the theoretical level such as: the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, structural systemic and modeling, from the empirical level: case study, document analysis, observation, interview, survey and socialization workshops with specialists. A system of workshops is proposed with a structure of three subsystems that include workshops, in correspondence with the processes of diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, with two structural moments: the moment of cognitive debate and the moment of practical demonstrative activity and socialization.
Coaching in the field of school coexistence seeks to develop the potential of students and teachers to improve their performance and treatment. It focuses on increasing self-awareness, discovering the current situation and exploring possibilities for improvement. Through a process of action-reflection-action-reflection, coaching seeks to strengthen listening and communication skills, and facilitate change to reach the maximum potential for improvement. It uses questioning as the basis of its work and promotes a culture of positive coexistence in the educational community. The participation of all members of the community in activities to improve coexistence is fundamental, promoting student collaboration and the transmission of skills that foster positive coexistence in the school.
The proliferation of regional agreements on the African continent has so far proved unsatisfactory. The process of economic integration, seen as an imperative for development, is struggling to take root on the continent, due to a number of anomalies. Overlapping regional economic communities do not benefit the continent. Central Africa, which is home to two regional economic communities, ECCAS and CEMAC, is no exception, as the cohabitation of these two regional communities is not conducive to the development of the regional integration process. If they are to reap the full benefits of regional economic integration, Central African countries would do well to see the rationalization of regional economic communities as a way out of this sluggish state of the integration process. This rationalization will be achieved through mergers and absorptions, on the one hand, and task-sharing, on the other, in order to bring the Central African zone out of this state of somnolence with regard to intra-community trade and the free movement of people.
Peptidases are enzymes capable of cleaving peptide bonds from other proteins. These enzymes have a wide range of applications, from the food industry to leather and skin processing and drug formulations. Peptidases have also been used in the dairy industry to produce cheese. The coagulation of milk caseins is the main step in the production of rennet-type cheeses. Due to restrictions on the consumption of foods that use animal rennet for reasons of dietary habits (vegetarianism) or for religious reasons (Judaism and Islam), the search for alternative coagulating enzymes to chymosin has intensified, so important research has been carried out in order to find an option among plant peptidases for the development of cheeses with sensory characteristics that are pleasing to the general dairy consumer public.
The participatory approach requires active listening to local people and the patience to progress at a reasonable pace to encourage local players to learn. The right balance must be struck between the race to achieve objectives through commitments to donors (or development partners) and the long-term objective of improving the capacity of the local players for whom the actions are developed, which will make it easier to sustain the gains made. It is a means of building the capacity of local players so that they can constantly play their part in the local development process. The better local players understand their roles, responsibilities and the challenges of developing their community, the more they will become involved.
The idea behind the book is to analyze the potential of in-service training, carried out through the special action project, in line with the school's political pedagogical project, in the collective hours provided for in the special full day of training. We present categories of analysis based on Freire's concept of permanent education. The constitution of the group as well as the construction of knowledge, adult teacher learning and the construction of autonomy towards authorship are all present in this work.
Dengue is one of the most important arboviruses transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes. The spread of the dengue virus is influenced by the socio-environmental conditions of a given place, which facilitate the dispersal of its main vector, Aedes Aegypti. In this context, the author seeks to analyze the spread of dengue cases through the use of statistics, geoprocessing and on-site analysis of the areas with the highest records of this disease, in order to mitigate the occurrence of dengue and provide a better quality of life for the population of João Pessoa, Cabedelo and Bayeux. It is important to note that the book is of great importance for public health management, as it uses as a methodological tool the combination of numerical results and cartographic representations that can be used to analyze various types of illness - in addition to dengue - as long as they are georeferenced in geographic space. This book is therefore aimed at professionals and students of Geography, Public Health and related areas who are interested in mitigating pathogens such as dengue.
Objective: To report our experience of the surgical management of thoracic endometriosis. Materials and methods This was a retrospective and prospective study which lasted 18 years (January 1994-December 2012) and included 19 patients with an average age of 32 years (19 to 49 years) operated on for thoracic endometriosis. There were 12 cases of catamenial pneumothorax, 6 cases of catamenial haemothorax and 1 case of pulmonary nodule. The patients were all nulliparous with a history of dysmenorrhoea except the one with the pulmonary nodule, 2 patients had confirmed pelvic endometriosis. Standard chest X-rays were performed systematically, bronchial fibroscopy 2 times, thoracic CT scans 6 times, and thoracoabdominal ultrasound 1 time. The lesions were located on the right in 17 cases, on the left in 1 case and bilaterally in 1 case. Results. The patients were operated on during (7 cases) or just after (11 cases) menstruation by posterolateral thoracotomy. 4 patients underwent preoperative pleural drainage for massive effusions. Plaques of diaphragmatic endometriosis were observed in 16 cases.
On a very broad level, this work sought to articulate a connection between the theme of the human and cultural reality of the sertão with the long literary period in which Guimarães Rosa wrote the short stories of Sagarana, at a time when the modernization of Brazil, a country in many ways still archaic, was being sought. The aesthetic novelties developed by the writer in the backlands led literary regionalism to be recognized by the academy after its publication in 1946. What's more, due to Rosa's autonomous approach, regionalism has a place in the literary consciousness of the intellectual milieu, focused on the man and the cultural values of the population of the region addressed. The concept of regional literature is recognized and valued as an integral and representative index of Brazilian literature. With nature as his witness, Guimarães Rosa creates in Calango Frito an image long sought after in Brazilian literature, a synthesis of historical, aesthetic and social reality - an image of Brazilianness.
With the interconnection between the disciplines of Anthropology, Economics and Sociology, we addressed the contribution that the social and economic sciences can make to the valorization of the industry, in order to create jobs and thus contribute to the eradication of poverty. We concluded that all the efforts made to rehabilitate the sugar industry have led to the flourishing of the Marromeu district. On the other hand, it is essential to highlight the development strategies adopted in the country, by characterizing the Mozambican economic system itself, economic evolution, as well as the investment framework and the development of the private sector. The work addresses issues related to the concept of development in its various stages, where we sought to establish its historical evolution and the case study, on "The importance of the Marromeu sugar factory complex - Sofala province in Mozambique - in socio-economic development for the community", where the various trajectories of the sugar factory and the current situation of the district in social terms are presented.
Social and democratic participation in contexts of powerful and sometimes violent domination is the main issue addressed in this book. It arose from academic research that for two years followed the functioning of the Rural Territories located in the state of Alagoas, in northeastern Brazil, established in 2003. In this sense, we sought to investigate how public deliberation was crossed by local political relations and vice versa, promoting a reflection on the clashes between the proposal for participation and the reality marked by social hierarchies. The data produced was analyzed in the light of Boltanski's pragmatic sociology and his concept of justification, as well as the concept of patronage, in order to identify a tradition of "demanding silence and resignation" around politics. At the same time, this structure is mediated and re-signified by the individuals involved in the debate, who seek, in the fissures of the structure, to build a space for vocalizations, establishing strategies for overcoming inequalities. We hope that this book will contribute to the debate on contemporary political participation.

Urban mobility is a key planning issue in Brazilian cities and is demanded by the Ministry of Cities. However, the development of Historical Heritage areas leads to slow development and, with it, the degradation of these areas, creating problems of Mobility, Accessibility, Tourism and valorization of the listed area and its surroundings. This book deals with the Historic Heritage area in the city of São Mateus-ES in order to create solutions for Urban Mobility and Accessibility.
The theme of this analysis is the role of subsistence agriculture in the process of capital accumulation after the formal establishment of free labor in Brazil in 1888. Dialoguing with dependency theories used in studies of the Latin American and Brazilian agrarian question, the complexity of the Brazilian economy is viewed from a three-sector model of capital accumulation. The dynamic equilibrium of the production of capital goods (DI), capitalist consumption goods (DII) and wage goods (DIII) and the demand structure of capitalists and workers. The dynamic interactions between capital and labor in Brazil and agricultural production are visualized in the sub-sectors of export agriculture (Sx), domestic market agriculture (Si) and subsistence agriculture (Ss). The main emphasis of the analysis is on the latter sub-sector, which is currently being explored in rural studies of peasant and family farming. The interactions between DI, DII and DIII and the distribution of income associated with them define the three different patterns of capital accumulation analyzed in The crisis of the agrarian-export model, Structural changes from 1930 to 1954 and The process of capital accumulation since 1989.
The debate around employability and the integration of young people into the job market has been very relevant in Brazil. From an early age, we are exposed to the demands of employability, which can often be accompanied by frustration for young people who start their professional journey without proper guidance. Supposedly with the aim of qualifying them and thus promoting their professional initiation, many programs have been created by the Brazilian Federal Government to enable the necessary training in the transition from childhood to adulthood. In this context, it is assumed that professional apprenticeship, as theory acquired in the training institution and as practice exercised in the contracting company, allows young people to acquire a profession, achieve their first experience as a worker and thus begin to build and consolidate their employability and, moreover, their professional identity. The challenge of integrating young people into the job market is a challenge for young people themselves and their families, for society and for governments, which is why we set out to analyze the integration of young people into the job market through apprenticeships.
In hospital, recognising that a patient is at the end of their life and correctly anticipating the time they have left to live are difficult tasks for staff, but essential if good quality care is to be achieved. In emergency departments, this problem arises frequently and complicates the organisation of work. If death is imminent, the patient is taken care of on the spot. If this is not the case, the rules of emergency medicine dictate that the patient should be transferred to other hospital departments, which are often reluctant to accept dying patients. Despite its similarities with intensive care, geriatrics and general medicine, emergency medicine remains a specific discipline. Therapeutic limitation and withdrawal have emerged in recent years, and their application to patients with a hopeless prognosis has become standard practice. Our study, based on a review of the literature, examines the ethical aspects of limiting and discontinuing active therapies in emergency medicine.
Is there an impact of municipal spending on education on the proficiency of students in Brazil's municipal school systems? A detailed analysis of municipal data and standardized proficiency tests assesses the extent to which greater public spending on education translates into better quality teaching. What is shown is that increasing the volume of resources is not synonymous with gains in proficiency. More than resources, what is needed is good management, both in the secretariats and in the schools.
The aim of this work was to evaluate the productivity of the dry cowpea crop, cultivar BRS Itaim in the municipality of Sorriso-MT as a function of plant population density. The experiment was set up in a commercial area on March 8, in a randomized block design with six population densities and four replications. The population densities used were: 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 and 280 thousand plants per hectare. The variables analyzed were: final stand, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, pod length, weight of 100 grains and yield. The data was submitted to analysis of variance using the F test at 5% probability and the averages were submitted to regression analysis at 5% probability. The results show that the production of cowpea [(Vigna unguiculata) (L.) Walp.)] cultivar BRS ITAIM is viable on a commercial scale for domestic consumption and especially to meet the demand for the product in the American, European, Asian and African markets. These potential partners consume our production.
Trademarks, which have been used since ancient times, play a fundamental role in designating the origin of products or manufacturers, as well as being extremely important in relations between companies and consumers, as they act as a security factor for both, making it easier to identify the attributes of products and companies. In Brazil, they were regulated by Decree No. 2,682 of 1875 and are currently governed by Law No. 9,279 of May 14, 1996. They are registered by the INPI and are considered to be the most important intellectual property. This study assesses whether companies in Sergipe promote the protection of their trademarks through registration and investigates whether the use of registration is satisfactory or not, with the aim of providing an overview of the state in relation to trademark registration so that it is later possible to outline actions and objectives to promote a culture of trademark protection.
Healthy working relationships are the result of environments in which respect and ethics are part of everyday work, conceived as central and organizing people's lives. Although these values are fundamental, a number of factors in the contemporary context due to numerous changes have contributed to the increase in violence at work, given that this situation has been manifesting itself in institutional relations for a long time. However, its forms of manifestation have changed, in line with the configuration of economic and socio-political relations, as we will see in the chapters. According to the Ministry of Health (2014), bullying is abusive, frequent and repetitive conduct that manifests itself through words, acts, gestures, behavior or writing, which humiliates, embarrasses and disqualifies a person or group, affecting their dignity and physical and mental health. They are present in the organization of work in both the public and private spheres and are characterized by actions that take away the worker's capacity for creation and satisfaction, causing pain and suffering.
With a view to facilitating the professional integration of its students, the University of Dschang has set up professional training courses, including the Banking-Insurance-Stock Exchange course. To obtain a professional Master's degree in this field, students must complete a work placement, at the end of which they must write and defend a dissertation. It was with this in mind that we applied for and obtained an academic placement at BICEC in Bafoussam. During our placement, we noted shortcomings in the distribution, communication and customer relations departments. We started from the premise that the innovation of banking products in line with technological developments and good marketing and distribution techniques for banking products would help to improve the bank's financial performance. It is with this in mind that this work aims to make a significant contribution, on the one hand to increasing sales of BICEC products, including the acquisition of the bank's best market share at national level, and on the other hand to increasing its financial performance.
This research aims to assess the level of satisfaction of students completing the courses offered by PRONATEC at SENAI in Ponta Grossa-PR. It analyses the conceptual, theoretical and empirical question of the implementation of public policies through professional qualification courses. Comparing PRONATEC and the productive sector and labour market policies in the current context. Evaluating education, skills development and technical training and whether public policies are really strengthening opportunities for youth employment and whether workers' fundamental rights are being respected, strengthening opportunities for employment.
