Digitalization affects all areas of life and is now essential for companies to enable sustainable competitiveness. The shortage of skilled workers in the hotel industry, the Covid-19 pandemic and changing guest expectations have driven the implementation of digital applications. This book deals with the use of digital applications in the reception and service area with the aim of supporting employees in completing recurring administrative tasks and thus being able to offer them more time for guest service again. An online survey of business guests of the harry's home hotels hotel group determined what wishes and requirements this target group has for digitalization in the hotel. In addition, corresponding recommendations for action for the hotel industry were derived from five expert interviews. This research showed that personal contact is still crucial and that digital solutions should be implemented slowly, with a comprehensive communication strategy and as an alternative option.
Honey is considered a highly complex biological compound, endowed with a great diversity of properties, both nutritional and therapeutic. It is a foodstuff produced by honeybees from nectar or honeydew. In Benin, it is mainly produced in the north and sold in pharmacies, supermarkets, small stores in big cities, village markets and even at home. Much of the current research interest focuses on the study of antioxidant molecules of natural origin. The aim of our work is firstly to carry out a physicochemical study by determining pH, and secondly to carry out a phytochemical study by determining polyphenols in our honey samples collected in northern Benin.
Idiopathic epilepsy (IE) accounts for 20% of all epilepsies, but less than 1% of research into this disease. This imbalance reflects a lack of awareness of the diagnostic difficulties, especially in cases of late onset or atypical signs. We conducted a retrospective study including adults followed for AR. We identified the distinctive clinical and paraclinical criteria of the different syndromes in adults.EI-CGTC was the most frequent epileptic syndrome (78.7%), followed by EMJ (17.32%). Family history of epilepsy and clinical photosensitivity were more frequent in EMJ (p=0.01).Electroencephalographically, generalized intercritical abnormalities, photo-paroxysmal response and HPN-triggered electrical abnormalities were predominantly recorded during EMJ (p = 0.000, p < 0.05 and 0.001 respectively). Focal abnormalities were recorded during these 2 syndromes. Knowledge of the characteristics of AR syndromes could improve patient management and better guide subsequent epidemiological and genetic studies.

As a result of the technological revolution, archival practice and knowledge were faced with a paradigm shift from physical to digital documents. This process was so accentuated and vehement that it became the fifth most important milestone for archives in the 1980s. To this end, this research is bibliographical and qualitative. Its objective is descriptive and informative. The results point to the importance of the chain of custody in terms of maintaining the archival characteristics of digital documents. It explains the importance of drawing up the archival management tools, the Classification Plan and the Table of Temporality and Destination of Documents. It highlights Archivematica and Atom as the most widespread archival repository and access platform, respectively, in Brazil and internationally. It advocates the influence of the archivist-researcher in terms of their work, since the publication of case study materials undeniably contributes to the construction of knowledge and the sharing of ideas, expectations and any points of friction that may occur when it comes to practical application.
Jorge Octavio Guzmán Sánchez is a professor in the Computer Systems Engineering department of the Tecnológico Nacional de México / IT of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, and it is here where he teaches "Web Programming With Frameworks" and thanks to this that for several years he has been able to collect this knowledge that seeks to be in a text that can serve as teaching material for students studying the aforementioned subject.
For most women, breast cancer and its frequent amputation encourage the development of negative consequences for their body image and, consequently, their sexuality. The breast is closely related to female identity, maturity, sexuality and motherhood, so the impact of mastectomy on women seems to be evident, and challenges emerge for perioperative nursing. With this in mind, we have produced this book, the main aim of which is to integrate and analyse data from studies carried out, contributing to a better understanding of the current situation and promoting the increasing quality of the care provided. The results of the studies show that body image impairment is directly related to the experience of sexuality, and that the more mutilating the surgery, the greater the body image impairment. In this context, nursing interventions, particularly of an informative nature, are extremely important as they facilitate adaptive processes.
Previously dominated by a few monthly magazines, journalism specializing in automobiles has been invaded by the agility of the internet and by several professionals working in other areas - not just journalists, but also engineers, pilots and even simple car enthusiasts without any academic preparation for the practice of journalism. Based on the theories of Zygmunt Bauman on liquid modernity and Anthony Giddens on expert systems, the author traces a profile of journalism since its inception, goes through the internet revolution, analyzes the automobile as a symbol of capitalism, observes the difficult transition from print to online journalism, reveals various facets of Automotive Journalism and ends by identifying changes in the social role of journalists. As the automobile has become an object of desire, undergoing constant updates, Automotive Journalism has had to rush to adapt. But this process has no deadline.
Trademarks, which have been used since ancient times, play a fundamental role in designating the origin of products or manufacturers, as well as being extremely important in relations between companies and consumers, as they act as a security factor for both, making it easier to identify the attributes of products and companies. In Brazil, they were regulated by Decree No. 2,682 of 1875 and are currently governed by Law No. 9,279 of May 14, 1996. They are registered by the INPI and are considered to be the most important intellectual property. This study assesses whether companies in Sergipe promote the protection of their trademarks through registration and investigates whether the use of registration is satisfactory or not, with the aim of providing an overview of the state in relation to trademark registration so that it is later possible to outline actions and objectives to promote a culture of trademark protection.
New contexts influence the debates and practices of art education in Brazil and open up new fields of enquiry for decolonial critique. By demanding consideration of the role of artistic representations in the production and reproduction of the "colonial difference", various studies have been initiated that question artistic disciplines and the regime of the gaze from the concepts proposed by decolonial criticism. In this way, the debates proposed to rethink art/education in contemporary times, including decolonial thinking, are called upon to reintroduce and represent the geographical and epistemological discontinuity regarding art and aesthetic expressions. This work was produced from these questions, seeking to investigate alternatives towards other educational narratives in the context of art education in everyday school life.

Cássio Bratti, Priscila Pelegrini and Adriana Redivo never intended to write a book, but they always thought about doing something for society that could contribute in some way to other people. While working in a meatpacking company to solve problems found in a sector of the industry, they saw the contribution the study could make to other academics, so the work was turned into an article and published in congresses and magazines. The aim of publishing this book is to continue distributing the knowledge and study carried out using the Arena program, in order to help both academics and company managers with the challenges encountered in industry on a daily basis.
This study was carried out during my undergraduate degree in music education with the intention of understanding the relationship between deaf young people and their interaction with music. It is a qualitative investigation, with data collected through a questionnaire and interviews with young people. It is hoped that the results will help music educators plan and make the necessary adaptations to inclusive music classes.
Understanding how a foreign policy is formulated involves knowledge of the history of the state being studied and also the various events that drive the actions of international actors. A state's external actions can be explained through offensive realism, which explains that since there is no supranational organisation to regulate these actions, the key to survival is power. The aim of this work was to identify the changes in US foreign policy towards the Middle East, especially Afghanistan and Iraq, from the start of the Cold War until the first decade after the attacks of 11 September 2001. US interests in the Middle East have existed since the Cold War, representing the country's greatest efforts to contain the advance of the Soviet Union. The US political strategy for the region is a vital question of maintaining a political and economic status quo that allows oil to be exploited and commercialised at affordable prices. The 2001 attacks changed the focus of US foreign policy towards the Middle East and culminated in wars and political crises.
Uzbekistan is Belarus's key partner in Central Asia. The two former Soviet republics celebrated the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023. And today, based on numerous facts, one can assert that the interaction between Minsk and Tashkent is experiencing a period of a peculiar flourishing, which is reaching a qualitatively new level and seeking to find and expand new joint forms of cooperation to realize the objectives of strategic cooperation. In December 2023, Samarkand hosted the 10th meeting of the joint Belarusian-Uzbek intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation, during which the parties discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic interaction, paying special attention to the spheres of industry, agriculture and healthcare, in order to fill the economic component of the partnership between Belarus and Uzbekistan with new practical content, to ensure timely implementation of investment projects and trade contracts. After all, the parties still have a significant potential to multiply trade volumes by expanding supplies of products in demand in the markets of the two countries. This is the subject of this study.
The accountability of United Nations personnel in peacekeeping operations is a topical issue in view of the many human rights violations and other reprehensible acts perpetrated by peacekeeping personnel against the civilian population, including acts of sexual exploitation and abuse, organised prostitution, murder, disappearances of persons, arms trafficking, and so on. Several measures have been taken in addition to the legal regime already in place to prevent these offences, which tarnish the image and reputation of the UN, and to ensure that the perpetrators are punished. Nevertheless, enforcing the responsibility of UN personnel is difficult because the legal regime in place is hamstrung by the immunities from jurisdiction enjoyed by these personnel, and by agreements between the UN and host states, and those with troop-contributing states. This is at the root of the infringements that persist within PKOs and the ineffectiveness of the fight against impunity. There is room for improvement in the legal regime governing this responsibility, and solutions need to be found.
Mr GBIDI was hit by staff cuts at a hotel and went through a very difficult period without a job, to the point where he could no longer provide a normal life for his family. Distraught, he went to the Chamber of Commerce for advice and to look for job opportunities. He was met by Mr YAKPEY Comlan Nomadoli, who is in charge of supporting investors and business creators. After listening to his story of unemployment in flux, Mr Yakpey asked his client: "Why don't you set up your own hotel business, given your wealth of experience in the field? Mr Yakpey's sound advice enabled his client, Mr Gbidi, to start up his own business and become the manager of a hotel called HOTEL COURONNE D'OR.
These days, debates about the role of schools and language teaching and learning are subjects that intrigue teachers, book designers and, in particular, parents. In language teaching in general, and French as a foreign language in particular, innovations and methodologies are constantly invading the teaching field. For the most part, they are the product of demands external to the language. This has been the case since the emergence of the audio-oral method (in the USA in the 1940s) up to the present day, with the skills-based approach. Thus, for more than half a century, innovation has been the priority in language teaching. It is important to recognise that considerable efforts have been made in pedagogical discourse and that the aim of these didactic and methodological trends is to improve the quality of teaching.
In recent years, the land pact region has experienced the vulnerability and adverse effects of climate change. This research analyses the adaptation strategies used by farmers to improve their living conditions. The methodology used consists of collecting, processing and analysing results based on 120 farmers in two districts of each commune. The field results reveal that the indicators are: the delay in the start of the rains, the appearance of pockets of drought during the rainy season, the early end of the rainy season, the increase in daily temperature, the appearance of violent winds, the multiplication of pockets of drought during the rainy season, the increase in the level of plant attack and finally the poor spatial distribution of the rains. Added to all this are the main climatic risks: pockets of drought (83%), poor spatial distribution of rainfall (71%) and rising temperatures (39%). Appropriate methods of adaptation to climate change are needed.
The result of this work is a study on the importance and application of Law 11.645/08 - which directs public and private educational establishments to implement the history and culture of Africa, Africans, Afro-Brazilians and indigenous peoples in their curricula - as well as the presence of theatre as a pedagogical tool and, therefore, as a facilitator in the process of applying this law.
The ethnobotanical survey carried out at the three sites revealed traditional uses forAloe macroclada in the treatment of digestive ailments, certain metabolic diseases, wounds, gonorrhea and asthma. It has also been used in cosmetology and as a soil protection agent. The flora associated with the target species comprises 44 species belonging to 37 genera and 20 families. The most represented families are: Poaceae, Asteraceae and Fabaceae. In the species-poor, open vegetation zone of Anjeva, density is relatively high, but biomass is low. Where vegetation is richer and more diversified, as observed in Miandrarivo, density is low and biomass high. An adult individual produces an average of 19 to 40 leaves per plant, ranging in size from 40.00 to 64.00 cm long and 10.00 to 12.50 cm wide. Anthropogenic pressures such as bush fires, expansion of cultivable land and illegal collection represent a crucial threat to Aloe macroclada. Appropriate measures must be implemented to reduce these harmful human activities.
The problem of child autism in modern society is becoming more and more urgent. Children with autism need psychological and pedagogical support and special assistance in the process of socialization. This book presents the results of a longitudinal study on the emotional and personal development of children with autism in early childhood. The specificity of this process is analyzed in terms of intra-personal changes, namely, the dynamics of the relationship between "True" and "Fake Self". Based on the research results, a classification of autistic disorders was developed depending on the level of emotional and personal development of children. For each of the groups, the mechanisms of occurrence of disorders were identified, and compensation methods and dynamics were described. The significance of symbolism for assessing well-being in personal development and adaptation to the environment was shown. The resulting classification can be used in diagnostics, in forecasting development and socialization, and in planning therapy strategies. The presentation of the study results is supplemented by case studies and case analysis materials. The book is addressed to specialists - psychologists and teachers.
The presence of Occupational Therapists in Critical Patient Units increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic, making visible the importance of the professional in the early rehabilitation of people in different health conditions who are hospitalized in the CPU. Thus, among the topics addressed are the health model in Chile, the role of the OT in the PCU and the scientific evidence available to date.

The "MODEL OF DIDACTIC QUADRANTS (MCD)" is an orientation guide for undergraduate and graduate students who need to develop their thesis in order to graduate. There are many students who find themselves in this situation, who in spite of having taken research methodology courses or thesis seminars, do not know what to do or how to do their thesis. Because of this situation, the MCD is proposed as a guide to organize the research process in the light of the conditions required by the regulations of Higher Education Institutions. Doing a thesis in a fast, fun and effective way with little experience is possible with the use of this didactic quadrant model created under the Design Thinking methodology. Doing a thesis researching - playing - learning without stress in 4 months, if it is possible you should only be guided by the DCM. It is not necessary for a university thesis student to be an expert methodologist to do a degree thesis in the time required by the University. PLAY....
The aim of this work is to investigate the effects of the use of flags of convenience on the labour relations of seafarers. The phenomenon of globalisation has brought new economic thinking and with it states have started to relax their laws in favour of financial development. In the same vein, companies sought to increase their profits and began to invest in these countries, especially those with more lenient labour and tax regulations. In this way, the big companies that own the cruise ship fleets have sought out countries with laws that are favourable to their interests. With this in mind, an analysis was made of the connecting factors that are appropriate for resolving possible conflicts arising from divergent laws, highlighting the difference between the connecting factors used to resolve labour conflicts arising from international labour contracts and international marine labour contracts, since the latter have certain peculiarities.
Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is the most common endocrine disease after diabetes mellitus (1 in 1500 hospital admissions) in adulthood as its age of presentation coincides with the second half of life(38). It is a clinical situation in which there is excessive secretion of PTH by the parathyroid glands, leading to chronic hypercalcaemia and alterations in the hormone's main target organs (kidney and bone)(5,6). It is the most common cause of hypercalcaemia in non-hospitalised patients(5,27).
Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, initially developed as anti-hyperglycemic drugs, have been shown to significantly improve metabolic indicators and protect the kidneys and hearts of patients with and without type 2 diabetes. The possible mechanisms for these benefits are the subject of extensive research, as they cannot be attributed solely to improved blood sugar control. In this book, we will focus on the current understanding of cardio-renal protection by SGLT2 inhibitors by explaining the pathophysiological mechanisms involved, and we will present the largest trials that have demonstrated this organoprotective effect.
History teaches: in war, armed confrontation is always primary. However, along with it, a special place has always occupied the spiritual shape of the troops. Moral spirit of the army - the state of consciousness of the army personnel, which characterizes the spiritual ability and willingness of the armed forces to act in accordance with its purpose and objectives in wartime and peacetime. The monograph explores a large complex of historiographical and historical sources relevant to the problem of morale of the Imperial Russia's army in 1870-1914. During this period, the Russian Empire experienced the Russian-Turkish War (1877-1878), the Russian-Japanese War (1904-1905), the first Russian Revolution (1905-1907). Two military reforms took place, which gave rise to qualitative changes in military construction. All this had a controversial effect on the morale of the army. There was a need for historiographical reflection and rethinking of this historical phenomenon from new approaches that had been established in modern Russian historical science, where pluralistic polyphony had become a stable methodological trend.
