The accountability of United Nations personnel in peacekeeping operations is a topical issue in view of the many human rights violations and other reprehensible acts perpetrated by peacekeeping personnel against the civilian population, including acts of sexual exploitation and abuse, organised prostitution, murder, disappearances of persons, arms trafficking, and so on. Several measures have been taken in addition to the legal regime already in place to prevent these offences, which tarnish the image and reputation of the UN, and to ensure that the perpetrators are punished. Nevertheless, enforcing the responsibility of UN personnel is difficult because the legal regime in place is hamstrung by the immunities from jurisdiction enjoyed by these personnel, and by agreements between the UN and host states, and those with troop-contributing states. This is at the root of the infringements that persist within PKOs and the ineffectiveness of the fight against impunity. There is room for improvement in the legal regime governing this responsibility, and solutions need to be found.

This paper presents the first impressions of an investigation into the new institutionality resulting from the creation of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (Federal Institutes), based on the public policy network analysis framework known as "policy networks". This institutionality appears to be an alternative to the multiple functions that the new institutions took on with the enactment of Law 11.890 in December 2008. The main players responsible for drawing up the Bill for the Creation of the Federal Institutes indicate that this approach is an innovative governance model for the Federal Professional and Technological Education Network. Network analysis is not new. What is new is the fact that the concepts are being applied to the Federal Network for Professional and Technological Education, in the search for data that allows institutions to be studied in a scenario of change, complexity and continuity.

Fashion and clothing are portraits of society, absorbing and mirroring developments over time. But this is also an extremely important area of activity in Portugal. Consumer behavior towards fashion and clothing can be explained by several variables, some of which are analyzed in this thesis. In this context, this work, which aims to analyze the contexts, habits and motivations of Portuguese consumers of fashion and clothing products, has three specific objectives: - To analyze the contexts in which fashion and clothing products are consumed and, in this sense, to observe the types of clothing, the commercial spaces and the main brands sold in Portugal, specifically in shopping centers; - To carry out an analysis of the habits and main motivations of consumers from a panoramic and comprehensive perspective of the market; - Finally, and based on a previously constructed model - "Consumer Style Inventory" by Sproles and Kendall (1986) - the aim is to determine the main consumption habits and main motivations that lead to purchasing decisions, as well as to identify consumer segments.

The East and the West have often been linked through a discourse parasitized by prejudice, hostility and even hatred. A booklet entitled "L'Amour de loin" (Love from afar), written by Amine Maalouf, who himself comes from a crossroads of different cultures, was created to set up circuits based on acceptance of the Other. This dramatic text tells a story that aims to mediate between East and West. The stakes of the story will be even higher when it is transposed to the stage in the form of an opera. The scenic work, strongly inspired by the text, is a song of love and clemency whose quest is to build bridges between cultures and heal imaginations beset by clichés and hate speech. This study of a text and its scenic transposition aims to bring out the ideology of interculturalism conveyed structurally and scenically, by studying the ideologies reflected in the text and scenography.

Based on P. Bourdieu's concept of field, this book aims to analyse the role played by the internationalisation of the performing arts in the careers of stage directors and choreographers in Finland. Through a number of interviews, it analyses the relationship these artists have with an international field of the performing arts and how they use this relationship to develop their careers in Finland. Finally, it also shows how the degree to which Finnish performing arts are integrated into this international field encourages or discourages artists' interest in what is happening outside Finnish borders.

Non-endocrine tumors of the sellar region can extend in all directions, and particularly supra sellar, where they are responsible for a chiasmatic syndrome plus or minus intracranial hypertension, or even neuropsychic disorders, which is why they are so serious and so difficult to manage.A distinction is made between tumors of the posthypophysis, known as pituicytomas, which develop from specialized glial cells of the posthypophysis, and dysgenetic tumors arising from remnants of the pharyngo-pituitary duct, such as craniopharyngiomas, histologically benign, but locally invasive, sellar or supra-sellar tumors [3], Rathke's pouch cysts, most often discovered on imaging, and non-dysgenetic tumors (meningiomas, chordomas, lipomas), are much rarer. In this booklet, intended for medical students, residents and specialists in Endocrinology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology and Radiotherapy, we address the clinico-radiological and therapeutic aspects of non-endocrine pituitary tumors.

The overall aim of this study is to build a model for assessing customer satisfaction in different diagnostic imaging clinics. In order to achieve the objectives, a questionnaire was applied with two surveys that enabled the relationships between the determinants of satisfaction to be identified and the most important quality attributes to be identified. This study was carried out in a diagnostic imaging clinic in Ponta Grossa - Paraná. The results obtained indicate a strong relationship between customer satisfaction, disconfirmation of expectations and perceived quality and it can be seen that Customer Service (29.5%) is considered the most important factor in terms of the importance of attributes, followed by Radiological Service (25.8%), Administrative Aspects (23.1%) and lastly Environment, furniture and equipment (21.6%). The main contribution of this work is the proposal of a model that can help radiology service managers to improve customer satisfaction, collaborating with the development and growth of the company.

During missions abroad, personnel experience situations that involve constant physiological stress (poor diet, few opportunities for good personal hygiene, etc.), but also psychological stress (worry about improvised explosive devices, snipers or the death of comrades), such a condition causes a constant state of hyperarousal that is functional and adaptive to the context for survival, enabling them to identify a threat and act accordingly (fight or flight). But, there is a thin line separating a normal reaction to stress from a real trauma-related disorder, i.e. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Baudelaire (1821-1867), like many other 19th-century writers, used various ideas and images borrowed from ancient literary heritage. He was perhaps not the first to include the devil in his work. He was preceded by Byron (1788-1824), who first considered Satan as a friend of human beings in his Cain (1821).Although Baudelaire was accused of stepping out of religion and into infidelity, his excellence in this profession was a form of modernity and an aesthetic literary style that won widespread approval at the time and was delivered in a religious style defending him from the attribute of incredulity. In this work, we will attempt to shed light on the method adopted by Baudelaire to write his Fleurs du mal, which are full of the love and glorification of evil and are based on Baudelaire's black vision towards the world, life and man.We will attempt to deal with this subject by discussing causes and results with illustrative examples borrowed from Baudelaire's library of poetry, asking the Lord that this study attract your attention.

The objectives of this study were to estimate influenza vaccination coverage among the elderly, identify the reasons for non-adherence to the vaccine and analyze the factors associated with adherence to vaccination. The methodology used to achieve these objectives was a cross-sectional population-based study using data from the Health, Well-being and Ageing Project (SABE). The study included people aged 60 and over living in the city of São Paulo/SP, Brazil. The final sample consisted of 1,399 elderly people of both sexes, selected using probabilistic cluster sampling. The data analysis took into account the sampling weights, enabling the inference of the representativeness of the conclusions. The dependent variable was the report of influenza vaccination in 2006. The independent variables included demographic, socioeconomic and behavioral characteristics, self-reported health conditions and use of and access to health services. Prevalence ratios and 95% confidence intervals were used as measures of effect and association between variables, as estimated directly and with multivariate adjustment using Poisson regression.

Human papillomaviruses (HPV) are epitheliotropic viruses that infect cutaneous or mucous tissue and are related to the development of lesions which, in the genital tract, range from warts to invasive cervical cancer. It is known that women who are seropositive for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are more affected by HPV infection and are more prone to developing cervical cancer. Given this context, this study aimed to estimate the prevalence of HPV in HIV-positive women followed up at the STD/AIDS reference center in the municipality of Caxias (MA). This is a documentary, descriptive-exploratory and retrospective study with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using medical records and a pre-coded and pre-tested semi-structured form.

Aloysius Bertrand's Gaspard de la Nuit is a collection of prose poems haunted by the devil and all his attributes. In this collection, Satan plays a dual role in human life. Firstly, he exerts an evil force in human life. And secondly, he instructs Bertrand in the art he adopts in order to re-establish a new order in a society already governed by classical reason. In so doing, the poet perverts the reason established by the divine poetry of the classical era, giving rise to the prose poem.

This book is aimed at students of philosophy and other areas of education who are interested in learning about John Dewey's thought. John Dewey is considered one of the best-known philosophers in America and Europe for his position on pragmatism, epistemology, instrumentalism and as a theorist of education. His thought transcends generations and is present in Brazil and in several countries. In his philosophical discourse, he brings a concept of experience based on the continuity of life and the continuous process of learning. His experience allows for the creation of a new metaphysics that aims to unite experience, nature and the human being, so that the action developed in this process is valued. Dewey thus works with an empirical metaphysics. His thinking goes from epistemology to education, where it is linked to the formation of the human being. In view of this, it is possible to see in Dewey a strong focus on the formation of the human being's conscience in all areas. In this book, the author offers readers a theoretical basis and introduction to Dewey's thinking.

At a time when the whole of humanity is engaged in the fight for the respect, defence, protection and promotion of human rights, it is absurd, even inhumane, to stigmatise a category of people, disregarding their fundamental rights, simply because they have difficulty moving around or communicating because they have a disability, for example. This study is based on the idea that people living with disabilities face barriers that limit their ability to function in society, and that married women living with disabilities face a twofold limitation to their ability to function, in that, given their status as married women, the DRC Family Code limits their ability to function and, given their disability, they deserve special protection. Thus, the realities on the ground demonstrate that People Living with Disabilities are not protected and we have observed a lack of mechanisms aimed at protecting People Living with Disabilities in general and Married Women Living with Disabilities in particular.

The entrepreneurial phenomenon is not the result today, it is an ancient phenomenon, modern and renewed at the same time. It expresses the process of creating something new and of value, whether it is a new business or developing an existing business, through creativity, innovation, taking risks and individual initiative, in order to create added value. This is a multi-dimensional phenomenon, of an economic nature through its effect on the economy, such as contributing to the improvement of economic growth rates, innovation in products and services, and the restructuring of the economic fabric. It is also a social phenomenon through its effect on society, such as the creation of jobs. On top of this, it is an ecological phenomenon, playing a vital role in protecting the environment.

The teaching of the course ¿History of classical Uzbek literature¿ should be regularly enriched with the latest advances in literary studies and methodological sciences. If this is not done, students' ideas about the history of classical literature will lag behind the development of literary science. In addition, future philologists may ignore effective didactic methods for teaching the acquired knowledge to the younger generation. So that young philologists are not armed with a system of old literary concepts that are not suitable for tomorrow, it is necessary to approach Uzbek literature with a centuries-old history from a completely new angle. Because until then we had not developed the principles of the study of the history of literature in general, and the history of classical literature in particular, on a solid scientific basis. This methodological manual was created as a scientific and practical solution to this problem.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, a vast territory in the heart of Africa, has known the existence of traditional chiefs and chiefdoms before and after colonisation. With the development of cities, a new way of governing was introduced with impersonal institutions. It is therefore important to understand how chieftaincies located within the city adapt to this new institutional urban environment. In addition, in this institutional urban environment, how are the various traditional institutions adapting in interaction with their urban equivalents, and how is communal land tenure adapting in the face of private and state ownership in the capital city, Kinshasa? However, it should be noted that adaptation was not uniform (homogeneous) depending on whether one was in the colonial city, in the planned zone or in the peripheral zone of Kinshasa. In the former colonial zone, traditional institutions disappeared and were replaced by modern urban state institutions; in the planned zone, they lost their authority; and in the periphery, they coexist.

Legal principles represent the material values that society has chosen for justice, they show us how to achieve them. Dworkin defines them as a "standard" that must be observed because it is a requirement of justice, equity or some other dimension of morality. They are the primary propositions of law, linked to the founding values of society, which express what it has chosen to be just. Constitutional principles, for their part, reflect human rights and the great principles of justice. They require the legislator, the courts, the administration and private individuals to interpret the law in accordance with the values they reflect. By virtue of their generality and prima facie nature, principles oblige secondary rules and behaviour to be adapted to the values they embody. It is therefore up to the principles, as fundamental propositions, to give concrete guidance to the law, qualifying the rules within certain axiological standards.

Teenage pregnancy is not only a health problem, but also a development problem. They are deeply rooted in many causes such as poverty, gender inequality, violence of all kinds, forced child marriages, power imbalances between girls and their partners, lack of education, and failure of systems or institutions that should protect their rights. When an adolescent girl becomes pregnant, her present life and future change radically, and rarely for the better: she may be forced to drop out of school; her employment prospects vanish; and her vulnerability to poverty, exclusion and dependency increases. Among the many species of Brazilian flora with interesting biological properties is Ilex paraguariensis A. St.-Hil. (Aquifoliaceae), popularly known as yerba mate. Emetic, astringent, medicinal and bactericidal properties are popular indications attributed to the species. With this in mind, the aim of this book was to evaluate the antibacterial and antifungal activity of the leaf and branch extracts. The plant material used to produce the extracts was collected in Santo Ângelo/RS, the leaves and branches were separated, washed, macerated, crushed with 70% ethanol and then filtered and evaporated. The antimicrobial activity was assessed using the solid medium diffusion technique. The concentration of 100mg/mL showed the best inhibitory effect against all the microorganisms tested. The results obtained proved the marked antifungal activity of the I. paraguariensis extracts, when compared to the inhibition results of the commercial antifungal Fox®, used as a comparative standard. The positive results indicate that this plant is an alternative for controlling microorganisms in seed storage.

The development of human capital is one of the key pillars of the Senegal Emergent Plan (PSE). As a lever for growth and a promoter of progress, rapid entrepreneurship was quickly integrated into the employment policy of the SALL government, supposedly to intensify the integration of young people. With so much material, this book conducts a study of profiles and preferences, accompanied by reflections, in order to analyze the means that Macky SALL's management has set in motion to extinguish the fires of distress of young people divided between despair, political entrepreneurship, clandestine emigration, vandalism and so on. Inspired by daring models, these reflections oppose the Bureau Opérationnel de Suivi (BOS) of the Plan Sénégal Émergent (PSE) with a Plan Suivi Évaluation (PSE), in the sense of unifying the dispersed support supports for young people in Training, Employment and Entrepreneurship, and opening up to private investment, via a digital innovation transversal to the target.

This research work was conducted under a descriptive and quantitative methodological approach and was applied to a simple random sample of 108 managers of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, belonging to the commerce sector, with a labor force between 10 and 250 workers with a minimum seniority of five years in the market. The objective is to analyze the main difficulties and challenges faced by business management and how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) influence the use of strategies in the administrative process. The main results show that the diagnosis carried out showed that, despite the fact that SME managers are aware of the benefits of using technological tools in business management, many of them show resistance to their implementation. The issue of agricultural mechanisation in sub-Saharan Africa in general and in the Democratic Republic of Congo in particular requires more attention. The aim of this study was to investigate the willingness of farmers in the Kimpese district to adopt mechanised farming systems, so as to enable those involved in the agricultural sector to better identify the factors that might influence the adoption of mechanised farming systems in this district. After analysis, it was found that 80% of respondents were willing to adopt farm mechanisation. The inherent factors that could positively influence adoption were gender, income and farm size. On the other hand, age and marital status had a negative influence on the intention to adopt mechanised farming. In view of the results obtained in this study, the success of the process of agricultural mechanisation depends on popularising the use of this new technology among farmers, setting up a programme to help farmers diversify their sources of income, and encouraging the education of rural people.
