Adam and His Freedom Machine was inspired by a good friend of mine (Adam R. S.). While doing research for this book, his excitement captivated me. When he expressed his first bicycle experience with me, it was just what I was looking for. Excitement!As children learn to ride a bicycle, they also learn perseverance and determination. They gain independence and freedom. Some may also learn the meaning of 'when you fall it might hurt, but keep trying. You'll get it.' Perseverance!

Pamela Ward has found that writing from a young age, she always likes to give a smile-to celebrate life's happenings or to take a picture perfect day and turn it into words that would take the reader there. She has lived throughout California and has traveled for Uncle Sam. She enjoyed singing for many years in church, on stage, radio, and in a movie. Always learning new ways of doing things and then applying them to her work. She continues even today a yearly tradition of doing Christmas cards with a new poem inside and enjoys doing specialty poems when being approached by someone who needs to say something but can't find the words.
Jose Luis Fernandez fought an underground war against the dictator of Cuba, Fulgencio Batista, late 1950s. Jose was imprisoned and tortured twice, but he never stopped believing in the cause, he never stopped believing in the revolution, he never stopped believing in their leader, Comandante Fidel Castro. After succeeding against Batista, Jose found himself close enough to Fidel Castro to realize his life had changed, but it was not for what he had fought for.This is where I come in. I was about a year old when Jose Luis Fernandez, my father, had to change his life fast, not only for himself but for his family. I was almost twelve when we left Cuba with experiences that no one should carry through their life. As a young woman, I realized there was an incredible story and secrets that my dad had carried with him for years. It took him a long time to tell me piece by piece, and now I understand why. It took me a while, but connecting dots, I got our story.
As you will see, this book is about my encounter with the Dark. I have looked into the face of Satan himself. Tragically, through all my sin, including two abortions and my complete rejection of our Lord Jesus Christ, I ultimately invited Satan and his cohorts into my soul. I know that is what they tried to do even when I was a child, but it was only through my actions that they were successful. I went through three exorcisms, and as you will see, the last one set me "e;free"e; from the grips of the Dark. Father Martin shared his account of the final exorcism with you in the "e;Foreword"e; of this book because I, myself, know that I wouldn't believe it if it weren't for his testimony. I endured years of torment, and I wanted to share my story with you, as I give Jesus Christ all the glory. He never let me go as He promises in the Bible. My childhood was very difficult as I am sure that many of you have experienced, as well. My father was a career Marine, and he truly suffered. I have shared his story with you in the book, including the complete devastation of his court-martial after fifteen years of service. I also wanted to share this with you because I believe that my experience with the evil one actually began when I was about six years old due to the many traumatic experiences I endured.I hope you will read this book as I know we all suffer in one way or another, and I hope this story will bring you to hope in the mercy of God for your life and to help you through any sufferings that you may be enduring.

Alaska Secession synopsis:Two men who have been working closely together for several months are killed unexpectedly two days apart. One by an assassin's bullet to the forehead as he was driving to work and the other by a hellfire missile launched from a predator UAV as he was taking off from a lake in his floatplane. Cooper Nelson, retired air force fighter pilot and newly hired bush plane pilot for Kate Westbrooke, Alaska's new reporter from the National Business Review, was at the lake with Kate when the incident happened. He immediately recognized the attack was intentional.Cooper and Kate quickly discover the meeting was being held in secret, or nearly so, and that the more than sixty people present at the lake were involved in the beginning stages of a statewide effort to convince their fellow Alaskan's to join them in a movement to secede Alaska from the United States. In fact, they were the guest's of honor as well as the next targets of the killers working to derail the secession movement before it can really get started.Without notice Cooper becomes the new "e;temporary"e; leader of the secession movement that will lead him all the way to Washington D.C. and a tense face - to - face meeting with a hostile US Government. Standing alone, with his life in the balance, the entire world watches it unfold live when Cooper explains why secession is the right answer for Alaska.

At the tender age of thirteen, Xshay Rankins was made to witness the murder of his father, Daniel Rankins. He himself was allowed to be spared as a walking example to all those who would oppose his father's murderer. But what his father's murderer didn't know was that instead of lowering the number of his enemies, he inadvertently made another one-one that would someday be responsible for his downfall.When Xshay Rankins first began committing murders, it was for vengeance, until he realized he liked it. And the more pleasure he gained from committing murder, the more sadistic his mind began to think. While having his hands full trying to take down Bruce Harrington, a.k.a. Boss, a man who was trying to become a living legend by committing the most horrendous murders known to man, Xshay also had to avoid being captured by Detective Tom Marshall, someone whom he believed had never closed his eyes without first closing a case.
These colorful characters of the 1930s and '40s lived life's circumstances as adventures. They lived at a time when they were called upon to build a city and a history-making dam, to grow a fledgling spit of a town in the desert into what would become the world-famous Las Vegas.They were rugged individuals on a desert frontier living ordinary lives during an exceptional time in our history and rose to the occasion. They survived Prohibition, the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, the Dust Bowl, and made wartime sacrifices. Along the way and by chance, they bumped into a number of famous personalities. The Voice of the Voiceless was created to be its title, a microphone for the audio-muted or a voice for the introverted souls. Also meant to entertain warm hearts and hopefully, inspire the lives of many. I pray that every reader recognizes the power of thought and practical application of works. As we all know, zero plus zero equals zero, nothing from nothing leaves nothing; wishing and hoping isn't enough. It will never spark the flame of reality, it will merely pacify the falsehood of illusions and fantasies. It starts with a thought carried by your vision, which turns your thoughts into words and then your words become flesh. Everything starts with self. Your attitude will affect your aptitude and altitude. You can accomplish anything you put your mind to. The most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, "e;We must not condemn a dirty glass, but simply place a clean glass next to it."e; I pray my works have been as such and that you all enjoy reading.
"e;Can I help you with the bag of cat food? I did not know you had a cat or even like cats?"e;"e;Well, I now love them, and the food is for Jesus,"e; she responded. I thought she flipped her wig. "e;Why do you love cats now? And, Ms. Sarver, I do not believe our Savior needs cat food."e;"e;It is not for our Savior, and you would not believe me if I told you,"e; she said.
A Spider in the Tub is a collection of short stories, essays, poems, and one commercial script, none of which have ever been published or produced. They were all written over a period of many years and tossed into a box in my den with the hope of one day finding a way to share them with readers. Page Publishing has once again given me that opportunity, just as they did with my first book, Why I Never Had Kids.The title accurately describes the book's contents, as each entry will very likely surprise, even sting you in some way, and take you to places you never expected to go. Some of the short stories, particularly "e;To Steal a Tombstone,"e; "e;Cruel and Unusual Punishment,"e; and "e;The Devil in the Deep, Dark Water"e; may make you squirm and send a sharp chill from your toes, up your neck, and into your brain, causing your eyes to abnormally widen. Read them by a gentle fire late at night when you are alone to get their maximum effect.I believe that you will find the essays to be entertaining and informative, especially the pieces entitled "e;The Day I Met Jane Fonda,"e; "e;An Evening with Jimmy Webb,"e; and "e;Meeting the Clooneys."e; I am sure that local readers will very much enjoy "e;Crosley Field Memories."e;The poems will take you down a snaking road that is pleasant, sweet, jovial, dark, and rocky. They represent life's perpetual roller-coaster ride of human feelings. Long before you read this book's final word, you will more than likely ask yourself, Where does Matre come up with some of this stuff?Don't worry. The kid's all right. I'm just using and enjoying God's gift to me and doing what I do best-write!

"e;What if my daughter had lived? Rachel-would she have looked like Jay's daughters? She died because of me."e;Lord Jim Fausscyn. Spare to the heir. Unprovided for. Must make his own way. Naval career first. Then His Majesty's foreign service. Luckily, he'd won the pulchritudinous Rana, whose huge endowment of South African investments would keep them afloat. She'd also the rectitude of six Caesar's wives! Although the bloody-mindedness of a child age nine. Childish nightmares too, hadn't she once mentioned?Yes, they'd married, she warning him beforehand that adultery wouldn't be tolerated. She'd meant it, her first husband having been a notorious womanizer. Her second husband should've been faithful if not to find himself in punishing pain. Now bloke in a choke hold, brawny bloke down for the count. His noble Pa threatened to disown him. She herself threatened to leave him unless he shaped up pronto! Career in ruins too. Would he lose everything? Lose his sons? Chap on his knees. Chap driven to prayer though he'd not trusted to prayer since boyhood.Family man pressing on-chastened chappie will muddle through. Rana struggles too. She and Jim hardly mesh; it's jarring, even hilarious! Seriously though, why's she so phobic? And what really happened to Rachel's mum? Lost her mind, losing her baby? Occasionally even Rana weeps, wondering.This story, taking place in the midtwentieth century, is both serious and humorous. Foibles, idiosyncrasies, the utterly unexpected of silliness, irony upon irony, from intimate disaster to spiritual redemption. There's a mystery of deceit and lies, or well-meant misdirection. Crucial names get changed-so who's who? The younger generation is protected till truth must out. Forgiveness remains the issue.
FBI Agents Terry Longfellow and Adriana Dickinson are called on to investigate a case that became known as "e;the Decapitator"e; at FBI headquarters. History of Bridgeburg and Its People is a candid chronology of this small hamlet and the people who resided there through the years. It gives a personal glimpse of the way of life that was so much a part of the 1940s and 1950s as I remember them. Events and people of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are included. It goes through most of the families who resided there and their contributions to this small community, how the railroads helped to shape Bridgeburg, and eventually, the building of the railroad bridge that gave the town its name. Thinking back, it is truly amazing how their way of life was so much a part of this thriving community. On occasion, I think back to those years and the friends and families who dwelled there. This was so much a different world from the one in which we live today. Those memories still hold deep within my heart and cannot be forgotten.
Paul follows his introduction with a greeting to the Roman church and expresses his desire to preach in Rome someday. Paul gives a summary of the theme of his letter: "e;The Gospel...is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."e;The Jewish Christians found they were not the minority within a Gentile church. Paul therefore wrote Romans to encourage the Gentiles to live in harmony with Jewish Christians. Unlike Galatia, it is possible that the only Gentile converts in Rome were God-fearing Gentiles and quite happy with most Jewish practices. These Gentiles we're happy and comfortable with living under the Jewish culture and lifestyle. Converting to Christianity means that you are turning away from evil and more toward the good of this world."e;The just shall live by faith"e; according to Galatians 3:11 and Romans 1:17. The emphasis Martin Luther placed on the Gospel truth in the sixteenth century resulted in the Protestant Reformation. This doctrine of justification by faith brought new life into the Church and became one of the central teachings of the evangelical churches. An understanding of this concept will result in a deeper appreciation of the grace of God, as it comes to us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Added note of today: Our young people is how we will live and grow up our future generations. Preachers, let's preach the word today. "e;Every life, all lives-Black, Brown, White, Yellow lives-matter. Faith is our guide."e;
The book is about my experiences as I grew from twenty-two to seventy-one years of age. I have one full brother and two half-brothers and a half-sister. I grew up in South California. I got saved in 1972. Even though my progress was slow, I eventually found peace but was troubled by my stress disorder. Finally got some help with stress and sleeplessness. I got counseling too and almost killed him because he was not trauma trained and he messed with my emotions. I quit counseling and started to self-medicate. I spent two weeks in the hospital, getting my meds in order. Then Pamela had her stroke at the end of July 2019. My granddaughter believes that God took her, but I know it was the devil. Sweet, sassy, and sour--the 3 S's most girls between the ages of seven to sixteen years old have been called or accused of being at least once. My name is Laylah Tyrell and I would have the honor of mastering all three before turning the ripe age of thirteen. Not bragging on anything negative of course, because those who knew me understood me and those who think they knew me, ended up labeling me as a troublemaker or the black sheep of the family. I was extremely observant at a very young age, somewhat bashful, but didn't much get pass me unless I wanted it to. That's why it came as a bit of a surprise when I learned my mom and stepdad wanted to send this city girl to the country, to avoid getting in more trouble and possible jail time.I admit, I did some wrong; possibly some unspeakable things growing up, but I was also forced to deal with a lot of things children my age shouldn't be exposed to, and I guess that made me hostile or as I would like to call it, "e;tough enough."e;You see I was abused and abandoned at the age of seven, abused by the son of a family friend and abandoned by my biological father, and although that does not excuse the wrong I did, it had much to do with me spiraling out of control as a teenager and hurting others along the way. The hurt, betrayal, suicidal thoughts, all these emotions would lead to behaviors that would fuel me for a decade to come. In Mind | Tammy Crumb
