Hot Blooded combines an unexpected personal odyssey with frank social commentary, shining new light into old places to reveal the truth and the lies about sex. Discussing female sexuality in depth, offering a crisp, urgent perspective on feminism, and introducing compassionate sexual humanism, this book is an edgy, earnest call to action. The author's own sexual history leads the way through an incisive conversation that identifies and unravels some of the most key features of today's confused sexual culture, revealing how prevailing attitudes and conventions alienate us from our natural sexuality and bankrupt our essential humanity. For all genders, young and old, it's an intimate, irreverent, and provocative pilgrimage back to our natural state-throwing off our clothes along the way-to achieve more vital expression, more honest relationships, and a more richly rewarding sexual experience. It Is Time is a series of powerful writings that is a calling for examination of oneself, one's life, and one's entire existence. It Is Time questions if we are promoting growth or destruction, projecting life or projecting death, bringing forth hope or discouragement to not only those we encounter but to our loved ones, whom we claim to so very much cherish. It compels the reader to question, are they living or merely existing in this world? This small collection of works will have the reader question things about themselves that many go through life and never consider. It Is Time is a unique series in that it "e;wakes"e; people from the apparent sleep they have unknowingly been in for sometimes decades. Many times people will say they seek change; It Is Time not only seeks it but finds it, embraces it, then promotes it. It Is Time will leave its readers with a newfound hope-that there is a solution to all the chaos we all currently find ourselves suffocated by.

After writing and publishing myriad newspaper and magazine articles beginning in my junior year of high school, as a journalism major at Bowling Green State University, and during my four-year career as a military writer in the United States Air Force, I wanted to write and publish a book. Beyond the many plays I have written, two of which have been produced by community theater groups, writing a book is the only writer's challenge I have yet to accomplish. Knowing that nonfiction is often the better choice for a first-time author regarding publication as opposed to fiction, I decided to write a memoir about my adventurous and mischievous childhood through my maturation as a fulfilled adult. The title Why I Never Had Kids struck me as being appropriate because it is the truth. Neither my wife, Fran, nor I ever wanted to deal with the childhood antics, some just downright dangerous, related in this book. I started making the notes two years ago and wrote the book in about two months after retiring from my corporate job in late 2018. Most of the incidents were fun and easy to write, but some were not. The pieces "e;Losing Pepper"e; and "e;The Wreck in West Virginia"e; resurrected painful memories but had to be included. This book is absolutely a work of nonfiction. The dialogue is as close to being exact as I can remember it. The incidents are correct. Everything you read here really happened. Reference is made to my mother's sometimes stinging sense of discipline, but she was in no way a child beater. She was a lovely, loving woman who made sure that my brother, sister, and I were properly fed, clothed, and grew up in a well-maintained home. She reveled in our successes and softened our failures, but Mom had rules. You didn't talk back, swear, sneak cigarettes, or drink Dad's beer. We all came out the better for that. Mom and Dad did things that I do not think I could have done as a parent, particularly the family vacations that took us hundreds of miles from home by car, with Dad doing the driving. I had a wonderful childhood, and the intent of this work is to deliver testimony to that and to entertain you as well.
In order to overcome rejection even though one may be gifted, it is important to understand who God is and the purpose He created for each of us as an individual. Being gifted relates to being exceptional, proficient, skillful, and talented. It may even classify an individual as an expert or a professional. Oftentimes, it is problematic to understand why there is conflict in our lives. We must contend with good and evil. As a Christian, we are conscientious that we have a God who created us with expectations. We must make an effort to work on our spiritual lives and to live peaceably with all men. A life of discipline is a result of accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Discipline progresses through intimacy with God. Some distinctive ways to obtain confidence about God is the development of a life of prayer, a life of praise and worship, and a life of wisdom. Even though we have a history or a past of being wounded and bewildered, we should love difficult or ungodly people in spite of wanting acceptance. Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52), we also will have wisdom and favor. However, God will grant us favor, and with the right connections, we will have favor with man. Rejection can be a camouflaged blessing. As an individual develops a relationship with our Creator and understands His purpose and plan for our lives, life is rewarding and fulfilling. It is easy to embrace laughter and easier to commune with God without frustration with ourselves and others.
Audrey is almost five years old and a girl growing up with two older brothers. Despite having to hold her ground by being tough around her brothers, she has managed to maintain her female qualities or, as Audrey sees it, as her "e;royalty"e;. Audrey, believing she is royalty makes the magic mirror come to life in Gran's playroom. As she dresses up as a princess the mirror magically transports Audrey to a king's palace during the eighteenth century as his daughter Annabella. Audrey does not know the mirror is magic, but Gran does. This is a very enchanting book with a surprise ending you don't want to miss!
In each moment, we have choices. There was a time when living by "e;default"e; was my way to live my life. This meant just accepting whatever came along. Then there was a BFO-a blinding flash of the obvious. Manifesting that which is most important to me became achievable. Actually, I attended a class on personal growth, where I learned that living with a focus on purpose allowed me to make wiser choices. To become aware of what my current expectations were. To see where I was making judgments based on limiting beliefs. To open myself up to exercising responsibility, my ability to respond. Scientific research has proven that we create out of our habits and that habits can be changed after consistent exercise of new routines day after day. When science is blended with mysticism, there seems to be a wormhole in our imagination cosmos. Hence, after seeing the significance of the number 40 across centuries, this 40-day journey is one of discovery of remembrance of who we are. As we navigate our way through time, it's feasible to pause and take a look around at all that is viable. To be mindful, to know the present moment is replete with opportunity, allows us to really look at our path and choose again. We can let go of the past and move beyond history. If we love our present journey, we are primed for even greater good. In this universe of universes, string theory and quantum mechanics tell us about the quantum void. This void isn't empty at all. It's actually filled with quantum energy and particles that flash in and out of beingness for a fleeting moment. Yes. We are energy in motion. Yes. We came to be, out of that nothingness. Yes. We dwell in possibility.
Guess What I Am was inspired by the inquisitive minds that I deal with on a daily basis! Children are always asking questions, needing to know all! I wanted to try to assist with the learning process by making a fun and mind-searching question and answer book. This I Spy meets Dr. Seuss seemed to fulfill that idea. This book targets the young child age group but can be fun for all.
In the winter of 2018, the world braced as continued North Korean missile launches over the Korean Peninsula had deteriorated and cooled diplomatic efforts between the United States and the Democratic Republic of North Korea (DPRK). Now, in hindsight, most of the Pentagon's top brass freely admit real-world executive orders to transport military families living in South Korea at the time of volatility were at least somewhat warranted. Ultimately, the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang just a few miles from the thirty-eighth parallel, also known as the DMZ, remained dormant and free from conflict. Cold Steel Seoul is the one and only book in existence that begs the question, "e;what if things in 2018 and beyond did not remain quiet, and a resurgence in the United States' longest-running war reached critical mass?"e; The book you have in your hands takes an extreme fictional approach to choreograph and examine what a break in the armistice would mean not only to the twenty-eight thousand military personnel currently stationed in South Korea, but also the world. In the end, most East Asian scholars and academics can agree on only a handful of facets of North Korea. The country is starving, the regime is totalitarian, and from an intelligence perspective we really know diddly-squat about what happens inside the DPRK. For instance, if a breakaway splinter cell of a deadly terrorist organization named Aum Shinrikyo were to infect the highest levels of the regime would we really know until it was too late? Buckle up, and hang on tight as the 2018 Winter Olympic Games just went from being a snooze fest and ignored speed bump in localized history to the most explosive and important events in human history. The breaths of a revolution are at hand, and the second Korean War might just be around the corner. "e;America loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser, this is why America has never, and will never, lose a war"e; (General George S. Patton).
TORN... is a fifty-year journey of my life's tragedies, miracles, and struggles. I had to learn from the streets and within myself to endure life on life's terms, while always keeping the faith to survive. The world can be a beautiful and dangerous planet, but I had to continue to conquer and overcome what life continued to throw my way. My adventures and afflictions consisted of finding my family dead on Christmas, drug overdoses, sexual immorality, toxic relationships, going to jail, college, law school, making and spending millions of dollars, bankruptcy, surviving the Twin Towers attacks on 9-11-2001, acting in feature movies in Hollywood, undercover with the FBI, losing everything, starting over, sobriety, love, marriage, and God.
When you don't know, trust God willhave you define the meaning of the word "e;trust,"e;challenge the readers to examine priorities in life, show you that others have been where you are, teach you to discern faith and fear, andpush you to your destiny.

Welcome to the uncanny world of obduracy and obstinacy and their attendant skirmishes that resulted in the collapse of a republic. Once you start reading this book, you will not drop it until the last page is turned. Mazonia was a vast continent of many tribes with diverse languages and cultures. It had everything that could make it prosperous, such as temperate climate and rich mineral resources. However, those resources were not tapped; instead, the people were content with sustenance agriculture and local markets. Luminia, on the contrary, was a developed continent seeking to grow her industrial base. When the Luminians got to know of a continent called Mazonia that remained uncharted, with untapped mineral resources, the floodgate for scramble for her lands was flung open. For the Luminians, the desire to grab as much Mazonian lands as possible became a do-or-die, all-comers affair in which Mazonian lands were unconscionably shared and the ethnic nationalities dispersed and dismembered. As a result, those unfortunate natives found themselves belonging to different Luminian countries, carrying different colonial baggage and subjected to burdensome alien practices and regulations overnight. Megaterra, an intensely obdurate and perfidious nation, was one of the Luminian nations that vied for Mazonian lands, and she grabbed the largest and the most lucrative chunk, inhabited by three discordant big tribes, each of them big enough to be a country of its own. Megaterra conquered, colonized, and amalgamated the disagreeable tribes into one country, without due diligence, and named it Dimakanga, after the mighty river that snaked through it. Compounded by the colonizer's divide-and-rule policy, the forced, unholy alliance did not go down well with the people and the patchwork quilt began to give way. Three grueling wars of self-determination were fought, which forced the Republic of Dimakanga to metamorphose into three distinct sovereign nations.
This story points to human nature. Its seeming repetitive side relative to the use of violence and bad behavior. Change appears through centuries out of reach despite the presence of good people. In this story, a solid Navy father-daughter family crime war is the path taken often.
The story with the title The Grape Picker was the main reason that I wrote this book. It is the story of an accidental trauma of a small child, misdiagnosed as child abuse. Witnessing the painful experience that the child's parents had to go through (the accident itself, the accusations against them, ACS involvement with subsequent placement of the child in foster care, the need to go in court), I came out with some conclusions. The doctors that are dealing with situations like that must have certain qualities: they have to be less opinionated, more flexible, on top of being very knowledgeable. If they remember the Hippocratic Oath, it will also be very helpful (particularly the part of not to be ashamed when you don't know how to solve a case and call for other colleagues help when their skills are needed). It also affected me very much because the child was my patient. My hope is that mistakes like the one described in my story will not happen anymore. For me, practicing pediatrics was like a bonus to my life. Working in this field has been interesting, challenging, and rewarding. It is occasionally sad, but more often, there were funny moments as this one. One day, a two-year-old boy needed to receive a vaccine. To distract him, I started to ask him questions: what his name was (Michael), his mother's name (Mama), his father's name (Mama calls him John), and my name (no answer). In the meantime, I had already administered the vaccine without him realizing it. Two days later, coming back to pick up a medical form, the moment he entered the office, he started to spell my entire name correctly and said it out loud. And then he added, "e;No shots!"e; Can you not laugh? He was only two years and two months old.
Ollie is an octopus who dreamed of becoming an MD (medical doctor). He worked hard to become a doctor because that was always his dream. Even though no one believed he could, he knew he had something special that no other doctor had.

You're questioning God, "e;Why are you doing this to me?"e; Maybe there are negative vibes getting in the way, for you to believe it's possible to be successful in life, doing what you love. Maybe you just don't know how to get to that point of success. God is the creator of life. We are the creators of living our lives. If you are in a down dark moment, and the sadness is getting you to feel stuck. It's not about pointing your finger and blaming. It's about looking at yourself and changing. I hope my journey through life brings enlightenment to your journey. I hope my journey not only helps you to start believing in yourself, but also to truly understand that, we are not alone. Middle-aged Troy Banalia is a burned-out lawyer from South Jersey who vacations in Baja California where he is entertained by the professional women of Tijuana. The wares of many ladies of the night are sampled by him until he meets the blonde bombshell Angelita. The sexual passion between them ignites immediately, and he soon falls madly in love with her as does she for him. When he returns to his law practice, a duplicitous client sells him out by telling the assistant district attorney a bunch of lies, which implicate Troy, in exchange for leniency. The beloved barrister becomes disbarred and is imprisoned. While serving a brief sentence, the broken Banalia decides to leave his former life behind and vows to return to Angelita and free her from the evil Hector, a.k.a. Solo, Lobo, her pimp. When he finds Angelita, the struggle between Troy and his armed entourage, the fearless private investigator Gary Brody and brave Mexican guide Jose Bravo, and the brutal gang of Solo Lobo, the gargantuan bodyguard Negro and cunning assistant Bruto, begins. Fueled by the backup of Brody and apt tutelage of Jose, Troy devises a series of plans to conquer Lobo once and for all and free Angelita forever. His affection for and friendship with his amigo nuevo grows during this learning process until his crestfallen companion eventually confides in him regarding the dark secret of why this honorable Mexican hombre is called El Bravo by those who know him.The battles for Angelita between the two warring camps commence at the top of Baja in this first novel, and continue south throughout the rest of the elongated peninsula to its inevitable end at the twin capes, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, in the sequel, Land's End, Cabo. Along the way from Tijuana to Los Cabos, Troy drives with Angelita always by his side in their desperate trip of escape. The surreal landscapes abound during their journey across this magical land. And all the adventure takes place against the background of beauty that prevails in this pristine peninsula. An ode to Baja so to speak. The unexpected and perilous predicaments that transpire on this spectacular sojourn will test the fullest measure of their collective resolve and spiritual union. The Baja Expatriate and Land's End, Cabo, both speak to the indomitable human spirit and the power of love. It is a story of personal redemption and the undeniable human need for freedom. An epic allegory about the never-ending battle between good and evil bestowed upon us by the master storyteller, Edwin Paul. It will inspire the reader to fight the good fight in one's life, and to strive for what we all need in our lives, reciprocal love.
