This little book contains a compilation of short stories told by a silent master. The stories illustrate how much wisdom can be gained by merely observing Mother Nature. The first chapter contains the essence of the entire book that everything in this wonderful world is connected and hence destroying any part of it will ultimately result in hurting ourselves. Mother Nature provides for all without any discrimination based on cast, creed or colour. In addition she gives and gives without ever expecting anything in return. She never stops giving, even when we hurt her in our ignorance. Man in his selfish quest for wealth and power is ready to wage war against his fellow brothers. All for the sake of material gains, which we cannot take with us at our time of death. Thus, it is hoped that reading these little stories will erase all forms of discrimination, anger and hatred from your hearts leaving behind merely feelings of love, peace and joy. The author currently serves as an Associate Professor of Finance at Monash University Malaysia. He has been a teacher for most of his life but in truth he has never ceased to be a student in the school of life.
When you ask someone the question, "Who are you?" The normal response you get is their name and then if you enquire further they will tell you what they do for a living or where they live etc. But unfortunately none of these fully describes who they are. All the above descriptions relate to the physical body. Thus, the next question is "Are you indeed the body?" This little book is simply a guide to you discovering the answer to the above question and in the process to discover your true nature or SELF. This is an attempt to answer these questions by merely observing ourselves and the environment around us. It does not make or rely on any metaphysical hypothesis or assumptions. Our starting point is simply what we all perceive or experience with our senses in our daily lives. It is for this reason that this approach is described as rational. Remember, my friends that only seekers discover and the discovery of one's own true nature is certainly the greatest discovery in one's life. Finally, it is my sincere wish that you find this little book useful and that you have a great journey. The author has been a teacher for most of his life but in truth he had never ceased to be a student.
This book contains philosophy about life and another meaning of life.

This is a short chronicle of a home invasion. In the small town I live in in the United Arab Emirates, there are many feral cats surviving under some extremely tough conditions. This is the story of a female cat (we shall call her Mommy) who moved into our home in the heat of summer and made herself comfortable on and behind the couch in the foyer. We found it somewhat endearing and left her too her own devices. Our dog Pluto did not find this so endearing and many an argument was had between him and Mommy. The door to the porch remains open permanently to allow Pluto access to the garden whenever he wishes or needs to go outside. Much to our amazement we came into the kitchen one morning to find that Mommy had climbed in through a small gap at the back of the kitchen cupboard and had three cute little kitten under the kitchen sink. This book chronicles in photos their story. Regrettably, some of the photos are not the best quality as all the photos are taken on mobile phone camera. I hope that you and your children find this story as interesting as we did
Benny the Cock is proud, vain, and boastful. He doesn't miss a chance to put the other animals down. When they decide to get even, he's surprised. Tori the Frog wants to learn how to fly. He's jealous of the other creatures who can. When he gets the ability to fly, he's surprised by his family's reaction. Benny and Tori are the main characters in author Ruo Xing Antoinette Loh's In My World: The Cock Crows and Tori the Frog. Aimed at readers between the ages of four and eight, In My World is imaginative and entertaining. But it's more than that. Its stories share an understated moral tone that can plant good ideals in young, impressionable minds. "The Cock Crows" and "Tori the Frog" can be interpreted on a moral and spiritual level, on an empirical level as experienced by most children, and on an educational level aimed at instructing and teaching young minds. In My World: The Cock Crows and Tori the Frog may heal and inspire, all while being entertaining. It can also spark conversations about important topics.

Life is like the electrocardiogram with wavelike spikes and dips that indicate a functional heart and a living person. If it shows a flat line, the person is dead. Like the electrocardiogram, our lives are filled with ups and downs. At the peak, we're living optimally. And while a flat line doesn't mean we're dead, we're not making the most of what's available to us. In his book Painful Friends, author Pwaveno H. Bamaiyi (Veno) writes about the ups and downs in life that, if handled properly, would make us better people. The phrase "painful friends" describes the difficult events, situations, circumstances, hardships, temptations, persecution and especially trials that God allows us to pass through on our life journeys so we are better prepared to fulfill our divine destiny. Most of the inspirational stories of dealing with these special friends are real-life events and told the way they happened. As Painful Friends shows, adverse challenges and circumstances can be very painful and destabilizing. But they can also be a beauty to behold. At the end of the day, we can come to realize the pains we passed through were actually the friends that brought us to the place of greatness in life, allowing us to be the best we can be.
The Attire of Taqwa attempts to understand the question of taqwa in the Qur'an through the exploration of the Qur'anic speech that ignites its fire in the heart. To accomplish this, the book examines different Qur'anic topics pertinent to the issue of taqwa. It initially investigates the high frequency of this issue in the Qur'an and the reasons underlying it. The Attire of Taqwa also sheds light on the heart's central position in the Qur'an, its role in reflection, and its positive and negative influence on people's destinies in the Hereafter. This book, in addition, discusses the psychology of taqwa, based on particular Qur'anic messages that address and trigger specific human emotions fundamental to the development of taqwa. Further, the book explores the dynamic nature of taqwa and its positive effects on believers' lives today and their destinies on the Day of Judgment. Furthermore, it analyzes and discusses Luqman's advice, Ibad Al-Rahman's attributes, and the Qur'anic analogies in connection with the element of taqwa. It also reflects on the Qur'anic Question as a linguistic tool that Allah recurrently employs for effective delivery of His message to humankind. Finally, this work throws light on the Qur'anic stories-as a prominent Qur'anic phenomenon-that Allah employs to teach lessons of taqwa.
This book enables its readers to understand `Islamic ethics at workplace', and its role in enhancing the performance and productivity of organization. Moreover, this timely and important book is an essential guide for academician, researchers, and managers to enhance and enrich their understanding and knowledge about the effective role of Islamic work ethics. The concept of work ethic is acknowledged as an important indicator of the likely success of all type of organization. This book aims to bridge this gap in the literature, and advance the knowledge regarding work ethics from Islamic perspective. This book presents some insightful strategies for Islamic financial institutions to manage workplace ethics. Those who are eager to advance their knowledge about Islamic work ethics, organizational justice and organizational citizenship behaviour will find this book very useful.
'Unfiltered' is a satirical and raw discussion about anti-corruption in the Middle East. While informative, it is written in a dark and somewhat rough voice that the author refers to as the 'pirate'. Pirates are not known for their good manners. Unfiltered defines and explains what constitutes a robust anti-corruption program for the Middle East, but includes some personal anecdotes of the author's 20 years of experience in Saudi Arabia. Unfiltered says things that many in the corporate world only dared to think but could never say out loud without risking the unemployment line, court or jail.
I haven't missed a moment in looking at the animals and the birds and butterflies flying around. I was awakened at 2 a.m., and the words came streaming in with an imaginary vision of the desert with travelers riding on camels. Our world is so alive and beautiful, having a wondrous sun. The heroes and the great leaders who had built the nation should not be forgotten. Snowing is very well appreciated by the writer and my loved ones as we stay in tropical regions. The beauty of Japan can't be ignored, like Mount Fuji. This is why the fisherman are satisfied with their adventurous work as they are facing the forces of the storm and the wind, which can be a friend and an enemy of mankind. If man can forgive and know the real meaning of love, he should stop killing and let the new generation live peacefully to start today! Finally, my heart is filled with joy to meet my two grandsons, Lawrence and Arthur. We all must be merciful and repent to let the new generation to be free from suffering and wounded treacherously by war.
