God wants to use Holidays to Shape Your Life and Transform Your Future! Unfortunately for many, holidays lead to frustration because they totally miss God''s original intent. Holidays in the church, if observed, are often more worldly than spiritual. Form has replaced function; what God intended to be a means of grace has become routine and even burdensome to many.Holidays is a book that will enlighten our understanding about "Christian" holidays like Christmas and Easter, some Hebrew holidays like Passover and even "secular" holidays like Father''s and Mother''s Day. As Pastor Dr. Carr has preached for over forty years, he struggled to find something "pleasing" and new to feed the flock, as they observed the same holidays year after year. The old sermons didn''t cut it and new ones were hard to develop-until he looked to the Lord and discovered God''s original intent for each holiday.God wants to open a great treasury of overlooked events in our calendars. These events are life changing and empowering if and when they are understood from God''s Word and plan for mankind. This book will blow the trumpet over the church, calling it back to essential doctrines, in order to release Believers into full Kingdom mandate.
Light in the Darkness was conceived during a shocking and challenging time of uncertainty-when it seemed that all of life was altered overnight. Everything we took for granted was stripped, lockdowns enforced and fear of an unseen enemy relentlessly propagated. Church doors were shut and worship gatherings suspended threatening the very strength, hope, and vitality of Christ followers everywhere. Dr. Pastor Carr was concerned for his people as he launched a "Thought for the Day" email campaign. When life and media draw attention to everything that has or may go wrong, it is easy to lose hope. As soon as he began to encourage his people, their mailing list doubled, proving light shines brightest in the darkest times. The main lesson in a time when change is inevitable: God never changes-He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! When we focus on the Good News of the Gospel, we realize nothing is impossible for God, we ARE able to resolutely remain in hope and discover how God wants to use us to bring restoration to our families and communities.
In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says He knows the thoughts that He thinks toward us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end. The "expected end" is based on His supernatural perspective. Proverbs 4:20-23 states, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." The Lord has revealed that as one diligently focuses on and obeys God''s Words, He reveals secrets, sayings and the revelation needed to master nine specific issues of life. Guard Your Heart: Hearing God to Master the Nine Issues of Life will cause you to have your self-esteem raised to Christ-esteem, possess great relationships instead of poor ones, an ear to hear God in order to achieve an effective prayer life, health instead of sickness, successful educational preparation instead of ignorance, God''s choice in a great vocation as opposed to a substandard one, prosperity instead of lack, an admirable legacy instead of a poor one and eternal rewards instead of punishment. Master the nine issues of life as you take the steps to hear His secret sayings hidden in His Word for your life. God is inviting you to take a before and after picture with Him. Come, He is waiting to lead you to the greatest upgrade you''ve ever experienced; His finger is on the camera of heaven ready to show you how different life can be.
Abrielle used to dream of a different life. Adventure. Romance. Hope. Not of Kansas. Now, after the loss of her mother and a move she didn't want to make, she's lost the will to dream anymore, let alone believe in her father's Somedays. But a swirling wind, a wall of leaves, and a blinding darkness transform her world. She and both of her brothers, Brogan and Matteaus, are swept from Kansas to someplace beyond-to a desert in which everything is watery brown, including the sky and the light of the weak sun. Abrielle finds herself in the middle of a realm everyone had heard of but no one believed existed. Except this version is run-down and broken, void of color and hope. Not much different from her view of life in Kansas. When she gathers her bearings, she discovers her youngest brother is missing, lost in a land that is foreign and dying. Finding Matteaus becomes her sole focus, but when she and Brogan meet a boy named Levi, who only adds more mystery to this world that shouldn't exist, she finds out this kingdom is much more perilous than the children's book ever told.Matteaus is in great danger. There is nothing safe about Oz. "With vivid settings, evocative descriptions, and brilliant characters facing issues relevant to our times, Emerald Illusion is a modern fairy tale that will appeal to anyone seeking a place to belong. With nods to L. Frank Baum and C. S. Lewis, author J. Rodes has created a portal fantasy that is both sweetly familiar and entirely new-with a hint of romance that adds an extra bit of tension to the plot. Highly recommended!" ~Serena Chase, author of the Eyes of E'veria series
