This book documents the involvement of Sweden in the liberation struggle in Southern Africa both through the study of source material at government and NGO archives as well as interviews with the key actors in Sweden and in Southern Africa. The book is also an analysis the social, political and economic factors behind the Swedish involvement.

The study shows that, although it is not an easy task, in a democratic country, dedicated people can, over time, influence political decision making in its most closed and guarded area, foreign politics.
