The doctor felt with bed rest I should recover quickly. That sounded like good news to me. I was all for a speedy recovery. However, the speedy recovery did not come. I became weaker and weaker each day, with the life edging out of my body. I loved my precious children so much, and only wanted the best for them, but the way my life and marriage had been going, I was not sure I was what they needed. Surely God had a better mother for all six of them! My life was such a bad testimony with two divorces. I began to pray ... "Dear Father, I feel your presence near me, and I know You are my Shepherd and will not leave me as I pass from this life into the next. Lord, if you have a better mother for all these six children, I give them to you." I closed my eyes, feeling the presence of angels all around me, and I felt the Shekinah Glory of the Lord's nearness. I felt myself lifting higher and higher, and felt I would soon be in the presence of the Lord and in God's glorious heaven. I fully trusted God to care for my precious children, and that I would spend eternity with each one of them. When I awakened, I realized I was still in my bedroom ... I felt a surge of energy flood through my body and strength I simply had not had before. I looked up to heaven and said ... "Ok, Lord, I know you have a job for me to do." Beverley Reuland is a retired school teacher, having taught children for 30 years in Christian ministry in Colorado, California, and Nebraska. The big thing about Freddy is that he loves Grandpa Otto Binns. He and Grandpa live in Big Blue, a house that sits on top of a hill. Susan, his granddaughter, lives in the back apartment. When Grandpa locks the door of Big Blue to trick-or-treaters, we see that he is a bitter old man. Otto's sisters, Violet and Rose, coax him to knit hats for the Christmas carolers. The problem is that he has only 4 days to finish 15 hats. He only has enough yarn for 1 hat, and there is an impending nor'easter. Cars can't get up the hill in snow.He completes one hat and, feeling hopeless, tosses the scraps into Freddy's cage. Otto goes to bed and has a nightmare about not finishing the hats. Anxious, Freddy spins on his treadwheel. The red and green yarn scraps get twisted in the treadwheel, creating new yarn. Grandpa Binns discovers this twisted yarn in the morning. Amazed, he knits the hats with it. There were more than enough hats for the carolers, who came to Big Blue to begin their night of caroling. After they left with their new hats, the carolers spread the story of Grandpa and Freddy's twisted yarn. One year later, Grandpa has become more loving; he welcomes trick-or-treaters to Big Blue.
The Magnanimous Penny Campaign is the second book in the Coco Series. It depicts the life of twelve-year-old Coco Shantrel Dubois, a young philanthropist, who initiates a Penny Campaign with the support of her loving parents, the principal, the staff, and all the students at Garrison Elementary School. About the Author Sheryl Tillis is a former teacher with a BS degree in Special Education. As a young child, she learned from her mother how to give away all sorts of items. The word "philanthropy" became essential to her as she began traveling twenty years ago. Back then, she started leaving a pair of shoes behind for the maid who was assigned to her room. This philanthropy spiraled into giving away clothing. The idea of leaving shoes was the catalyst for writing her very first book, "Leaving My SHOES Behind." Whenever family or friends come to visit, they are given the gift of love.
These are not just faces in a yearbook. They are faces in the Book of Life. They are not unlike the many faces you see in school every day. Behind every pair of eyes is a different story - some stories more tragic than others, but all of them familiar. Just to describe a few: Ishmael was kicked out of his home, Esther carried the weight of her family on her shoulders, David felt overlooked, and everyone was talking about Mary behind her back. The God who knew you before you were even a seedling also knew that you would need someone your age to relate to. His Word is not too old or too ancient to reach the troubles you have today. With Scripture readings, lessons, memory verses and journaling, The Bible: Through the Eyes of Teens promises to refresh and encourage your young soul. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Tamara Molano has a true passion for teaching young people about the Lord, since she accepted Jesus into her own heart as a youth and was baptized at age sixteen. Her heart for middle school and high school ministry has led her to serve in youth ministries off and on for nearly a decade. The mom of one is currently a youth leader, teacher and intercessory prayer warrior at her home church in Long Beach, CA.
In 2013, I went in for an angiogram to determine if I needed a stent for a blocked artery. I clearly remember the doctor halting the procedure with the words "Mr. Sales, you're not getting a stent; you are going to have bypass surgery." I had five blocked arteries! I got a hospital room, but no surgeon. The surgeon they wanted was unavailable. So, there I sat in my room, waiting for my surgery. With five days to wait, I also had plenty of time to pray. I made a prayer request. "Lord, when they take out my heart to do what is needed... put something new in with it." Little did I know, as I began my recovery with long walks on the walking trail that ran behind my house, I was about to discover that something new. I had never written a poem in my life. Then one day, on one of my walks, it came-my first poem. Since then, I have been the recipient of many poems, along with a host of short essays. They have introduced me to twelve faithful friends who both advise and stand guard in my life. They offer inspiration, observation, insight, and wisdom, along with some rhyme. Join me with some of these faithful friends, and let's go for a walk! Michael Sales earned his degree in Business Administration / Accounting from the University of North Texas. This book is an illustration of Psalm23, "... Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me...". This book shows how God in His great love and infinite mercies took care of a fatherless child in Africa, protected her during the Biafran war, fought for her in the University and finally gave her a home in America!! God is still the great God of wonders who closed the mouth of lions. He is not only the God we read about on the pages of Scripture but the one who has shown up in many supernatural encounters in this book to prove His Name. Jesus is truly the Savior, who changed the author's life, rescued her from bullets in a jungle farm, sent heavenly messengers to her to bring several messages of hope and deliverance, and constantly gave her guidance. God comes through at His time and it wipes away the tears of waiting. We have to set our priorities right: "seeking first the kingdom of God...", walking with Jesus each day, reading the Word and praying regularly so as to be guided. We must invite others to Jesus as we travel to heaven. This book reminds the Body of the renewed call to prevailing prayer. Good success is not measured by how much wealth we amass, but by our faithfulness to Jesus, knowing that this world is not our home. The author also wants to share with the world, God's warning of "an impending doom", the need for sincere repentance and living in daily obedience to Him. In times of fears, Jesus always shows up to deliver even if it seems to delay. The many supernatural interventions in this book confirms this. "There is no better way to live than as a disciple of the Lord Jesus. But how do I actually do that? Fr. Stavros Akrotirianakis offers a simple but not simplistic path for those who desire to embark on the greatest adventure of thus life." - Fr. John Riccardo, Executive Director of ACTS XXIX Forty days after His Resurrection from the dead, Jesus gathered His Disciples and "commissioned" them to go out into all the world and spread the Gospel to all nations. Many of them were illiterate fishermen. Not one held a degree from an advanced Rabbinical school. And yet these men took the Christian message and shared it with the whole world. With faith, they changed history and have led billions of people to salvation. We too are enjoined to cultivate disciples. However, before we can make others disciples or spread the message of salvation, we ourselves need to become disciples - students of the Gospel. Before we can become students, we must answer the call to be a follower of Jesus. And before we can become a true follower of Jesus, we have to understand who Jesus is. Engaged: The Call to Be Disciples contains 130 short reflections offering practical instruction on what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. It begins by reflecting on the simple question: Who is Jesus Christ? Fr. Akrotirianakis discusses the costs and benefits of being a disciple. His reflections on prayer and stewardship build to the final section on rallying and sustaining confidence in our Christian walk. Although written by a Greek Orthodox priest, this provocative work offers inspiration for Christians of all denominations of what it means to believe, belong and follow. Father Stavros N. Akrotirianakis is a Greek Orthodox Priest who serves St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Tampa, Florida. He has also authored the books Let All Creation Rejoice: Reflections on Advent, the Nativity and Epiphany; The Road Back to Christ: Reflections on Lent, Holy Week and Pascha; Blessed is the Kingdom, Now and Forever: Reflections on the Divine Liturgy; and Let Us Be Attentive: Reflections on the Sunday and Feastday Scripture Readings of the Orthodox Church. He writes a daily reflection called "The Prayer Team" which can be found at www.prayerteam365.com
Have you ever wondered why people go through the same cycles over and over again in their lives? Are you one of these people? Do you feel trapped and unable to escape the cycles? In Fugitives of the Heart, Thelma Oyesiku reveals the causes of these cycles and demonstrates how they stem from the condition of the heart. Once we really tackle its contents and surrender them, only then can we break these cycles. Fugitives of the Heart reveals how we let our flesh get in the way of our spiritual growth and it gives us tools on how to change that narrative. In order for us to obtain more of God, we need to cut ties with these fugitives that are occupying precious space in our hearts. God has provided everything we need for this life, and we need to start tapping into these provisions fervently to be counted as loyal and devoted sons and daughters of God. We pray that you will take this journey with us to discover these fugitives, displace them and set Jesus as the center of your heart. It is never too late. May God ignite in you a desire to love him more than anything this world can offer! Thelma Oyesiku is an intercessor who loves the kingdom of God. Her desire and passion are to see the Bride of Christ fully embrace their identity in Christ and walk in it. She is a wife to Christopher and mother of two children. JUAN 14:26 RVR1960
I feel that I was called with the mission in life to edify others with the living word of God in these times where there is a pain in so many lost people. God Manifests himself in many ways and in my case I want to honor all those who were a part of my growth and even inadvertently forged my character. I was always downcast and in fear, but God protected me and filled me with the courage. The pain and the processes brought me closer to Christ. I did not have a mother or a father who guided me and only in Christ did I get my sanity, my identity, my worth, and my strength. I feel I was pampered by God. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." JOHN 14:26 KJV
G-MEN was nominated as the up-and-coming ministry of the year in 2001 by the National Coalition of Men''s Ministries. Now, 20 years later, we have compiled the evidence which we believe proves it was and is in fact God''s strategy to save our world! The G-MEN strategy provides a plan for discipling new converts - and now 20 years later, we have the proof! Mapped out step by step, these practical applications bring order, build the church, and take the Gospel to the world. G.F. Watkins is an international leader, speaker, visionary, church planter, and an author of seven books. From his humble beginnings as a high school coach, G.F. went on to plant churches around the world starting with Powerhouse Church in Katy, Texas, Powerhouse Namibia, and Powerhouse Peru. As a spiritual son to the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, father of the modern-day men''s movement, G.F. Watkins'' principle of ministry and church planting is the restoration of the world through the restoration of the man. This fundamental belief birthed the worldwide movement known as G-MEN and then as Man Church over 20 years ago. G-MEN strategy and Man Church teach that manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous. It is the foundation on which all of Powerhouse Churches and its covenant churches are built on. Reach the man, change the family; change the family, change the church; change the church, change the community; change the community, change the city; change the city, change the state; change the state, change the nation; change the nation, change the world. It all begins with men taking responsibility for the world around them. After pastoring Powerhouse Katy for 20 years and planting churches around the globe, G.F. stepped into the role of an apostolic leader and coach through his organization The Genesis Team. The Genesis team serves as a covering and a resource to pastors and their families. G.F. travels the world equipping leaders, developing, and growing strong men''s ministries, and impacting the world with the gospel. This devotional guide was constructed with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The inspired words have been anointed to deliver you and liberate you from circumstances that attempt to destroy your confidence and faith in an unseen God. His influence is visible and manifested in the words that inspired, empowered, uplifted and liberated the people of God during a time of isolation and quarantine. This devotional meditation was breathed upon by the Holy Spirit as I witnessed lives being transformed and a renewed spirit emerged.

She woke to discover that she was in a hospital, that she had amnesia and her name was Helen Mitchell. She was also told that she was engaged to the incomprehensible Reid Spencer. Because she didn''t know where she lived, she was coerced into going home with Reid. If it weren''t for Carolyn, Reid''s mother, she wouldn''t have gone. She could have easily withstood Reid''s criticism, but Carolyn''s heartfelt plea touched her heart, and she gave in.Reid''s Jekyll-Hyde attitude confused and dismayed her. In the moments when he treated her with gentleness, she could understand why she had apparently accepted his proposal. However, those moments were few and far between. When she accidentally discovered she was an artist, Carolyn urged her to use her art to recover her memory.Could it be true? Could her art unlock her memories? And if it did, what would it reveal? I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I started writing when my children were young. I was feeling the need for adult conversation and discovered romance novels. After voraciously reading hundreds if not thousands of them I started writing for my own enjoyment. Recently my granddaughters have started reading my books and have encouraged me to get published. This summer will mark fifty years of marriage to my husband. Fifty wonderful years of laughter and puns have left their mark on me. There have been tears and arguments but mostly they were filled with a love that shines through in my writing. My first published fiction book, A Promise to Keep, was one of the first novels I wrote and is an enjoyable romp set in the Mackinac area of Michigan. I did have a non-fiction book published by Standard Publishing back in the late 80''s, early 90''s, and several of my poems have been published. I enjoy putting together a monthly newsletter for my church, as well as reading, music, camping and most of all, being with my family. I have a website (BAM Romance) that my son and granddaughter has set up for me.

My parents were no exception. I was an outsider in my own surroundings, and I never felt completely comfortable anywhere. It was not easy to believe God was my salvation for many years, no matter how much word my grandmother instilled in me as a child. Surprisingly my inspiration came from the Holy Spirit at a time in my life I wanted more, and out of the wilderness Victorious was born.
