Everyone wants to be loved. From TV shows to songs on the radio to the latest celebrity news of who's dating who, finding true love is always on our minds. As Christians, however, we sometimes struggle in the search for a love that honors God. How do we find the person the Lord has for us, and how will we know when we've found them? Behold the Man! by Viola J. Horton discusses what Christians should consider when seeking God-ordained relationships but ultimately focuses on the One True Love we must seek first and foremost-the Lord. Using the story of the Samaritan woman at the well whose life was transformed when she met Jesus, Viola shows how finding our meaning and purpose in the Lord is the only way to quench the longing and desire in our hearts. And with the Lord's timing and direction, we will meet the person He has for us and will be ready for that new adventure. After all, who knows better about love than the One who is love? This book is a must-read for single Christians who are looking for the right partner for godly marriages. Based on true stories from the Word of God, personal observations, and real-life experiences, Behold the Man! contains biblical wisdom and insightful commentary that will be very valuable to those who desire to be equally yoked. Stop wasting time, good years, and energy pursuing relationships that the Lord does not have for you. Before you can make a love connection, you must make the God connection. It's time to turn to the only One who can fill the void of loneliness inside you. And once He transforms you, your life will never be the same. Hi, I'm Pastor/Prophetess Viola J. Horton of Heaven In View Non-Denominational Church in Dallas, Texas. Best Selling Author of Behold the Man! Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, bka "the big easy" love singing, traveling, good food and drink. It was an honor to be called of God to preach the Gospel with a radio and television broadcasts; that was great! until the storm Katrina hit in 2005. Nevertheless, My husband and I were inseparable. We think about it every year, we pray for people, and thank God for all He brought us through.
God has a daily plan for His children. Psalm 68:19 KJV says, He "...daily loadeth us with benefits..." Yet, to unravel the benefits for each day, we need a daily manual that we can read and apply, and this is where the Grace Daily Devotional comes in. The Grace Daily Devotional serves as an operational manual for us each day. The wisdom and instructions contained in this devotional are the out-breathing of the Holy Ghost. They are the answers to prayers. Each devotional is inundated with the power of the Holy Ghost to heal the sick, dissolve doubts, and to set you on course for a victorious day. However, to maximize its benefits, you must read it, declare out loud the faith-filled confessions, and walk in the light of wisdom that it delivers.
THE LIFE AND JOURNEY OF GOD'S CHOSEN VESSEL: MY STORY provides a chronological account to capture the life journey of Apostle Prophet Patricia Veal-Shannon. Her journey consists of various traumatic related issues that consumes us in this day and time. Meaning, there's nothing new under the sun. Occurring issues were discreetly done during her generation whereas recurring issues are done more openly without shame in this generation. These various issues are rejection, neglect, bullying, molestation, and child/relational emotional, physical abuse. Apostle Prophet Patricia loves the Lord Jesus Christ. She has a passion and a sensitivity for God's people. Under the Holy Spirit direction, she has created a prayer circle called PRAYING MEN & WOMEN OF WAR CIRCLE (PM&WOWC). Love Is the Answer! We need to remember our children are watching what we are doing. They are going to base their future relationships on how we handle ours. Mothers and fathers, we need to love each other first and fill our homes with that love so it surrounds our children and makes them feel safe and secure in that love. Our family members are the ones who will give us the grades on our life's report card. It is how they "grade" us that is important. We do not want to fail when it comes to our family relationships. Our job as parents is to make life explainable to them by example so they can function the right way when they are grown and have their own families and children. That means you need to do things with the proper life rules. Love is the answer. When you learn to love your family as God intended, you will make things run smoothly for everyone around you. My goal is for this book to give you the tools to help you achieve this in your family.

Trust. Humility. Faithfulness. Belief in someone's potential. These are the four essential bricks crucial to growing intimate friendships with people. But there can be more - much more! If we can use these four building bricks in growing intimate friendships with one another, shouldn't we use the same building blocks to grow an intimate friendship with God? This is a question author Tony Gael has asked for many years. Since becoming a Christian at the age of six and with all of the years of spiritually traveling, not to mention the amount of spiritual wrestling, Tony has come to the inescapable belief that yes, we can, and yes, we should. But how? Tony is a self-described Christian adventurer and explorer. He has experienced traversing the high and mighty mountain peaks (oh boy!) and walked through the low and sandy deserts (oh no!). But a Christian needn't experience these things alone. God has not made life in such a way as to go it alone. He has made us experience life through friendships with one another (cool) and with Him (awesome!). So, grab some bricks, some mortar, and a trowel, and let's start building together. Tony is a graduate of Emmaus Bible College and Denver Seminary. He expresses his love for God in poetry, his blog (Trippin with Tony) and in a public speaking ministry, 1U Ministries. He is a grandfather, loves babies (his favorite church ministry, other than teaching, is hanging out in the baby nursery) and Iowa Hawkeye wrestling (the wrestling is more like an addiction).
Deer Stand Revelations is a collection of revelations that God has given me through life events, outdoor excursions and hunting and fishing adventures. Having always had a love for the outdoors, I have spent most of my life working, playing, hunting, fishing, hiking and just spending time outside. That love turned into a passion for God's creation at the moment of my salvation. God began to speak to me when I was in a deer stand or when I was standing beside a body of water with a fishing pole in my hand. God showed me purpose in His creation and taught me lessons through successes and failures afield. Through a gentle whisper in the wind or a beautiful note from a songbird, He gave me hope. In an errant shot or misplaced arrow, He taught me humility. In an amazing sunrise, He sent me back to my childhood and gave meaning to the good and bad things that I have lived and seen. God didn't give me all of this revelation to keep to myself. He called me to share it with the world. Deer Stand Revelations is my answer to that call. My name is Marty Ray Perkins. I was born on July 21, 1961 in Roxboro N.C. I grew up on a small, family owned, tobacco farm. I have always enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures. I love to look for Native American artifacts. I am a songwriter and enjoy singing and playing the guitar. Spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, in the outdoors is my favorite pastime. I teach Sunday School and I am an ordained deacon at my church. Writing Deer Stand Revelations is an answer to God's calling.

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth" (Genesis 1:26-28). We were created for intimacy, we were created to rule and love with Him. There is more to us than meets the eye. We were meant to live for so much more than we realize. To be able to understand our identity, we need to dig deeper into the beginning. What happened? Where did we come from? We were created in the exact image and likeness of the Ancient of Days. Her account of her perseverance in the face of adversity and her finally having a spiritual awakening that changed her life and allowed her to change it for the better will serve as an inspiration for all those who read it, women and men alike. It was culturally expected that every girl should know how to cook. It was an expected prerequisite to being able to serve your family in the future. It is rather amazing, how this cultural influence upon the author have ignited a creation of rhythmic taste bud delights. So, if your taste buds are bored, or if you have been infected with the 'urge to cook' virus, this compilation of recipes will be an effective antidote. Dive into it as often as needed. Unshackle your creative imagination. Turn up the heat. Applaud the waltz of the ingredients. Smile and 'chill' with family and friends as you 'lick your mouth' with the savory creations of your hand. She is the eldest of her mother's three children. From the earliest of age, it was obvious that God had blessed her in the area of the 'arts'. She is as energetic and busy as a bee; sings like an angel; performed in ballets; designer of wedding invitations; stared in a television show; creator of educational display boards; trained educator; a librarian; sketch artist; a wife worthy of praise and a phenomenal mother.Today, we see her debut performance (Lick Your Mouth - Island Cooking) as an emerging and formidable author from the 'baby boomer' era.

Being a young Christian, I am constantly reminded that ministerial assignment is not showing and tell adventure. My calling requires training and mentorship in discipleship and leadership. Paul, an Apostle of Christ, recognized that every Timothy must learn the art of becoming a good soldier of Christ. The focus here is to rectify the deceptive mindset prevalent within contemporary Christianity. Young men and women are launching into the vast ocean of ministry life without thorough preparation and consequently making a shipwreck of not only their destiny but also of those who follow in their footsteps. Ministry is not a bed of roses, get rich quick expedition, but a calling fit for a good soldier. God sends us to proclaim liberty to the oppressed and freedom to those in captivity of Satan. A true disciple of Christ is the one whose life's vegetation has been pruned by the cross and mowed clean by training and mentorship of seasoned leaders. It is required that good soldiers of Christ pleases Him who enlisted them. Apostle Paul warned of the consequences of failure to do so. In I Timothy 2:1-4, he reiterated the four cardinal marks of a Good Soldier of Christ. They have been "ENLISTED" as Soldiers of Christ and his kingdom. They must "ENDURE" hardship as a Good Soldier of Christ. They are "ENGAGED" in spiritual warfare-the battle between good and evil, light and darkness. They must not be "ENTANGLED" with the affairs of this world. If they do, the one who enlisted them will not be pleased. A good soldier bears impeccable testimony like Apostle Paul, who said in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Even though I was raised in church, I was not taught a lot about tithing. I knew my parents tithed, but I didn't really know the reasons. It was not until I was in my 30's, living in Macon, Georgia, that I began to hear about the benefits of tithing. At the same time, I started a new job at a church across town. A big part of my job was to enter the contribution information into the computer system each week.....and I began to notice a pattern. I had "inside information" about those that tithed, those that gave occasionally, and those that did not give. There was a huge difference in the lives, the lifestyles, the attitudes, and the level of faith in the tithers versus the non-tithers! This, along with the teaching I was hearing at the church I attended, began to convince me that I needed to tithe! There were so many areas in my life where I had desired change for years, but it never seemed to happen, until I began tithing consistently! Tithing was the key! Tithing was an outward demonstration of trust. It changed my life. This is the story of my tithing journey. Lyn Johnston Taken was raised in Opp, Alabama and was brought up in a caring home and active church. She left Opp for Troy to attend college, then moved to Montgomery, Alabama, and later to Macon, Georgia, where she met her husband, Don. "If you are over 40, single, and desire to get married, God has not forgotten you! I often felt He had forgotten me! I was 48 when we married!" She says though this book is about tithing, "it is really about so much more. Tithing is key to so many elements in the Christian walk."
Struggling people. People in every walk of life struggle in some way. We can't dictate what our struggles will be. We just know that when they come we need help. Where will this help come from, and who can we trust? These struggles call for battle, and the thick of battle, we realize that we need strength. Strength like we've never possessed before. That we need to "armor up." Not only for our protection, but for victory. Mary L. Newsom was raised in Mississippi by her dad and his mother, Grandmother Jessie. "The Tears that Flow into the Kanawha River" is about a man named Leon Breckenridge who relives his life about his experiences as an African American man living in a segregated community by the Kanawha River, before advancing to desegregation. Leon recalls the people who set the foundation for his trials, pains, failures, triumphs, and success. He writes about his younger years in the 1960s and thereon when his father put a 38-pistol to his head, and his mother suffering from mental illness. He takes us back to the 1960s when black and brown people protest for equality. People riot and hurt each other while vandalizing properties. Leon shares stories about living in Massachusetts and the people he met along the way that made an impact in his life. He gains strength due to his faith in Jesus Christ. Leon Breckenridge is a Vietnam Veteran who resides in Massachusetts with his family. After he retired, he decided to write an autobiography to share his life stories living in Montgomery West Virginia as a young boy during time of racial tension. One of the many concerns Leon carried over the years are the demolition of Simmons High School that was a historic Black school and the destruction of the African American cemetery where the bones of the slaves had their last resting place.
