Even though I was raised in church, I was not taught a lot about tithing. I knew my parents tithed, but I didn't really know the reasons. It was not until I was in my 30's, living in Macon, Georgia, that I began to hear about the benefits of tithing. At the same time, I started a new job at a church across town. A big part of my job was to enter the contribution information into the computer system each week.....and I began to notice a pattern. I had "inside information" about those that tithed, those that gave occasionally, and those that did not give. There was a huge difference in the lives, the lifestyles, the attitudes, and the level of faith in the tithers versus the non-tithers! This, along with the teaching I was hearing at the church I attended, began to convince me that I needed to tithe! There were so many areas in my life where I had desired change for years, but it never seemed to happen, until I began tithing consistently! Tithing was the key! Tithing was an outward demonstration of trust. It changed my life. This is the story of my tithing journey. Lyn Johnston Taken was raised in Opp, Alabama and was brought up in a caring home and active church. She left Opp for Troy to attend college, then moved to Montgomery, Alabama, and later to Macon, Georgia, where she met her husband, Don. "If you are over 40, single, and desire to get married, God has not forgotten you! I often felt He had forgotten me! I was 48 when we married!" She says though this book is about tithing, "it is really about so much more. Tithing is key to so many elements in the Christian walk."

"With this new book, Robert Waggoner, a highly respected Christian scholar and writer, has proven again his love for the truth regarding Christianity. His passion is to share the basic elements of the Savior's salvation with the multitudes of the earth. This book, An Introduction to Biblical Christianity, is a product of his years of study, teaching, and preaching the everlasting gospel of the New Testament. It is obvious the author loves the Bible and wants to share with others what he has learned through many, many years of studying, preaching and teaching about it. • - Exposition of the Epistle of Romans
    by John H Walker
    £10.99

The Epistle of Romans is the theological cornerstone of the New Testament, the greatest of Paul's epistles. Romans focuses on relationships between Jew and Gentile, deals with tensions in this church by showing that Jewish and Gentile Christians require a righteousness that can be obtained only as a gift of God and must be lived out in personal Christian life. RIGHTEOUSNESS IN ROMANS Gospel Righteousness (Rom. 1). The Gospel is about a righteousness which comes from God "by faith." Need for Righteousness (Rom. 2-3). The Jew with the Law and the Gentile without it have sinned and desperately need a righteousness neither possesses. Righteousness and Faith (Rom. 3-4). God always accepts faith in place of the righteousness human beings do not possess. Jesus' sacrifice of Himself makes this possible and is the basis for the forgiveness freely offered to Old and New Testament saints. Righteousness realized (Rom. 6-8). Faith unites the believer with Jesus in His life and His death. The Holy Spirit within gives us the power to live righteously here and now if we live by faith. Righteousness in history (Rom. 9-11). God consistently operates on principles imbedded in the Gospel in Old Testament as well as New Testament eras. Righteousness in the faith community (Rom. 12-16). Believers are to live out God's righteousness in relationships within the Christian community. Paul gives a beautiful description of righteousness as God's character finds expression in the way Christians live together in the Lord. Pastor John H. Walker: married to Cynthia, is the father of two daughters, was called to the gospel ministry in October1982; ordained as Minister of Christian Education1990; Assistant Pastor, Faith Memorial Baptist Church, 1986-2014 Educational Preparation: Wayne State University, School of Social Work, -1978, MSW: Dallas Theological Seminary, 2004, MACE degree.

    by Ruth I Christenson
    £11.49

How have the lives of people in your past, inspired lives of faith in your family today? Are there stories you share with family and friends, that demonstrate the loving care of God? This book is a collection of memories that my children requested to have put in writing so that they will not forget. I hope you, too, will be prompted to preserve your family's stories, for the benefit of your own children and grandchildren. Included in this book are principles for living lives of faith, and some parenting suggestions that come from multiple sources. These were also requested by my adult kids. Several are now parents themselves. They find themselves using phrases they remember from our home. Now they want some explanation of their origins and application. I have tried to honor the memory and examples of those who lived before us. This book is also meant to challenge this generation to intentionally invest in the spiritual lives of their children, in order to raise the next generation who will know and live for God. These spiritual investments will become the legacy of faith God asks us to leave. Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation will praise Your works to another, and will declare Your mighty acts." May our faith stories collectively bring much glory to God. Ruth Christenson is a pastor's wife and mother of seven children. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she lived until she graduated college. Ruth spent 27 years as a homeschool mom. She has frequently been asked to share principles of discipleship and parenting to help other parents lead their children to know and love God. Ruth manages a Book and Gift Store at a Christian Conference Center. When free to travel, she loves to spend time with her kids and grandchildren.

With real-life events, moments of self-discovery and spiritual growth, and testaments of God's amazing grace and restoration, When the Lord Carried Me: Marriage and Life After My Husband Said, "I Am Gay" inspires readers to put their faith in the everlasting love of Christ, no matter what circumstances they may face. R. A. Burns obtained her Master of Science degree in Counseling. Her faith, family and friends are where she places the most value in life. She enjoys serving others, being outdoors, traveling, playing pickleball, kayaking, cooking and sharing time with those she loves. R.A. believes the most gratifying part of life is being a mother and a wife. She was born and raised in a Christian home, but it was not until she walked through a devastating season in her life that she understood the full meaning of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Before that time, she was simply "going through the motions." This event made an eternal difference in her life. Since that season, she has felt strong conviction to share her story. Her life verse is Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." This book is R.A.'s testimony.
