We wanted to write a book about our experience of being adopted. Through the process of writing this book, we learned that we are all adopted in Christ. Christ makes something broken into something beautiful. We’re all on a journey trying to find our way, but more importantly, we are trying to find hope in Jesus.This book is to help parents and kids that are adopted or struggle with adoption. In this book, there are two different perspectives: open case adoptions and closed case adoptions. We also cover topics adopted children deal with including fears, forgiveness, compassion, and God’s faithfulness. We also answer questions and issues to consider when adopting. Noah: I have three siblings, my adopted Mom, and my Dad. I currently live in Duluth, Minnesota and am completing a church internship. I graduated from Urbandale High School, Urbandale, Iowa in 2019. I love sports and connecting with other young people. I have participated in football, tennis, and baseball over the years. My favorite vacation was in Colorado where we hiked in the mountains.Scot: I graduated from Urbandale High School in Urbandale, Iowa in 1978. I was in the Air Force active duty and the Iowa Army National Guard part-time. I worked in counseling, the mortgage industry, and the insurance industry. I am currently retired. I volunteer 2-3 days a week at a prevention company that deals with kids. I also volunteer at my church. Even though my boys are adults, I still talk to them weekly.

We are living in very critical times in America right now, and it is our desire to share with you the calling to help and do all we can to bring restoration and healing not only in our Nation, but also to each person who is reaching out for directions in their individual life as an American. We want to emphasize the importance of the name of this book. We as the people need to Wake Up, Stand Up and Look Up, and do the individual calling in our neighborhood, church, town, city, and vocation where we can reach-out, rescue, restore, and repair all that has been torn down or is in the process of being destroyed. We can do it with God’s power and being willing to go the extra mile in many cases. May we never give up and lose our freedoms. AUTHOR BIOGRAPHYJim Jamieson spent many years in the business world owning a small business in real estate and insurance. After the loss of their 6-year-old son to leukemia, Jim gave his life to Jesus Christ and countless changes came to his family and destiny. God’s call on his life opened the door for many opportunities to share the joy of redemption through the sharing of the gospel message of Christ. This new life of faith and hope has given Jim a heart of love for America and people around the world. He calls himself an ordinary American citizen.

In The Beauty in the Breakdown, the author Talitha Kumi Tyler, whose name is found in the Bible (Mark 5:41) meaning “little girl wake up”, describes her intimate and personal testimony of her relationship with God, herself and others. Spiritually, the Church continues to exist in love as one body of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Christians develop in the faith to walk in love as God intended (John 13: 34 – 35 & Matthew 5: 13 - 16). A return to the first century house Church practice of the faith for discipleship and accountability to one another is imperative to link spiritual development of Christians with the virtuous institutional roles of the Church. The link is necessary for the Church to remain effective in the society today, avoid confusing the work of faith with the love of money, and ensure profitable congregational experiences. Every Christian need spiritual experience of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to be fruitful. Joshua Odetunde grew up in a Christian home, seeing Christian faith as the normal way of life.
