THE CAMOUGLAGE OF DECEPTION Have you ever been deceived by someone that you trusted? How did it make you feel? Did it take a while before you were able to fully trust anyone again? What did you learn about yourself from the experience? Did the experience leave you ashamed, confused, feeling somewhat isolated or disconnected from others. What would you do to prevent the likelihood of being deceived that way again? The questions asked may not generate immediate answers but will hopefully inspire you to think on one thing that was not mentioned: Truth! God's living word is Truth. Jesus said in John 17:17 as He prayed to His Father in Heaven: Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth. This book will help you to: Clearly discern the world that we live in through the eyes of God's truth. Gain freedom from the side effects of fear and torment brought on by deception. The "Camouflage of Deception" will help you to identify your true enemy. It will clarify ways that deception subtly enters our lives through gateways we fail to protect (through what we see, hear, think or feel). This book will help you attain the proper insight and spiritual discernment necessary for the times. May we no longer conduct ourselves as children, being tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Ephesians 4:14): I pray through proper teaching, we will grow in the knowledge of God the Father, Jesus Christ (the Word), and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).
We are each on a journey with God; a journey that will not only grow us spiritually, but will challenge us to develop other aspects of ourselves. Author Sam Wilder can attest to this, having served in ministry for over thirty years and gave his life to Christ while at a youth retreat at age fifteen. Every step of his journey, Sam has seen that God has directed his steps to help encourage others, especially churches, in their own walks of faith with God. He expands this personal ministry of his through his latest book, Streams of Grace: Where the Mind and Heart are Free to Wonder. Within the pages are stories, from the author and others, Scripture verses, and inspiring quotes from recognized names who have also embarked on this journey with God. Discussion questions and prayers are also listed within each segment to offer more interactive tools for readers and their journeys. Sam hopes that as readers go through each segment in the book, God's grace and beauty in everyday life can be viewed with fresh eyes and a perspective in knowing God is always present and can help us through any circumstance. Nothing is more resounding to Sam right now than the truth of God's grace and provision, as he recently was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and has had to step down from being a pastor to focus on his health. However, his change in ministry doesn't mean his call to share the gospel has, which is what many will understand after reading Streams of Grace. With each obstacle in life that we must get through, we are also given the opportunity to see God emerge in those situations and share this with others of how God's grace always shines through.
I am struggling to understand, why an all knowing, all loving, and all powerful God would allow this manner of suffering to come upon his people. If you've survived one of the following moral evils which are done by humanity and natural disasters; Hurricane, Flood, 911 Attack, Tsunami, Wildfire, Earth Quake, Tornado, Blizzard, Snow Storm, Cold/Heat wave, Volcano, Drought, Chronic illnesses, Sarcoma/Cancer, Pestilences, Plaques and last Coronavirus Covid-19, and wondering why God saved you, he saved you for a reason, your mission, and his purpose. Why did it take Covid-19 to stopped the world from turning, it stopped trains on its tracks, it stopped planes from flying in the air, and it stopped travelers from traveling, and stopped ships out at sea. Those that were employed immediately became unemployed, it was reported by CNN, Johns Hopkins University and Medical within a week, about 3.3 million people had applied for unemployment and at this time there were other states unaware of the rapid growth with unemployment, not knowing it was just a couple more days, and the high unemployment rate would be in each state of the US along with the Covid-19 virus. This book is about choosing to live as a representative of God's Kingdom on earth. Doing so requires complete departure from pursuing self-interest and a commitment to be developed into a mature Christ follower so that the world can recognize through you the manifest Kingdom of God, and its presence in every sphere of life. This lifestyle commitment empowers Christians to operate unconventionally by the world' standards yet provide a clear model of alternative Kingdom living. Christians must function as ambassadors and emissaries, and as a perfected body in order for God's kingdom to be seen in the earth. This requires change in the way Christians practice their faith and operate within this world's systems. Changing how we think, how we live and what we pursue in life are the transformational values we must demonstrate to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth. On May 5, 2016, author Lorine Hargrave experienced one of the most difficult days of her life, as her husband transitioned to heaven three days shy of their sixty-second wedding anniversary. Devastated and searching for answers, Lorine never imagined that God would transform this tragic event into the opportunity to become a beacon of light to those around her. As time passed, God began to replace Lorine's anger, depression, and confusion with peace, purpose, and a new understanding of His love. One night in a dream, God told her, "Write the book. It will be for your healing from grief." So with obedience in her heart and pen in hand, Lorine started a journey of restoration and freedom while sharing the joy and influence of her husband. The Life and Legacy of Pastor Superintendent Douglas Ray Hargrave is Lorine's way of honoring her husband's memory, as much as it is her own path to healing. In this moving work filled with life-changing testimony, powerful moments, and timeless truths, Lorine remembers the impact and encouragement her husband passed on to others, while offering hope to those who have lost loved ones in their own lives. Although Lorine dearly misses her wonderful, loving husband, she has chosen to go on with her life, watching God use her story to help others along the way. She continues to keep the doors of her church, Greater Cornerstone Church of God in Christ, open as God allows the legacy of Superintendent Douglas Ray Hargrave to inspire all who enter. Lorine hopes that this book will help you through the loss of those you have held close, as well as remind you of God's infinite grace and mercy. May He bless you every step of your walk with Him, even in the most challenging seasons.

Throughout the Bible we are able to get a glimpse into the mind of God as to the things that pleases Him as well as those things that does not please Him. Thus, it is these two things that are often taken into consideration when asking the question "why does God called some as laborer's in ministry and not others? Thus, we may never know why. This brief but powerful book will examine seven things that can have a profound negative affect on a person's Spiritual life as well as on ones' ministry. Please keep in mind, that these seven are not all inclusive, there are no doubt others reasons (only God knows) why some are called to ministry and others are not. But I believe harboring these seven things will not only hinder a person's walk with God but sadly keep them on the bench as spectators in ministry. When Jesus saw the multitude of people, He said this to His disciples; The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
