About 28 Dayze
28-Dayze is the chronicles of precious time I had with my mother. I did not realize how strong she was until it was almost too late. I watched her struggle with severe illness, smiling through her tears to make each day count for something good. As I reminisced through her last days, I recalled many childhood events and traditions that brought me joy. Especially comical things my mom did that set her apart from others. Funny stories, life lessons and real talk about pain, loss and relationships make this a must read for all dealing with loss or tough times, no matter your background. Everyone faces challenges, but how do we get through them? I did not realize where my mother's strength came from, but I had a revelation and then wondered, "Why did she have to go through so much?" My family and friends prayed desperately that God would heal her. But I was not sure we got what we asked for. Was it worth it? Did God forget about us? Was all hope lost? Let me share my story and then you decide. Dr. Corinne A. Macon is the daughter of Mr. Gunsalla and Mrs. Florence Beatrice (Grimes) Macon. She loves traveling, spending time with loved ones, cooking and singing with Erek McFadden and The Praise Alliance. She started the MGM Center of Hope in honor of her brother, Michael G. Macon after his tragic death. She is a teacher in the Philadelphia public school system, a leadership coach and consultant and the author of Maximizing the Call. She loves her mom dearly and wrote 28 Dayze as a tribute to her mother and a resource to encourage others through challenging times. She holds a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University and is honored to have the opportunity to share her message of hope with others.
