3R Math Readiness

The 3R Math Readiness Book has been designed to provide the classroom teacher with motivational material that will fulfill the students' needs and interests in learning arithmetic. A classroom environment which provides learning experiences in line with the developmental needs of today's children is essential before students are able to learn. The assignments in this book have several objectives: (1) to provide practice in recognizing likenesses and differences in geometric shapes and numbers, (2) to develop the basic concepts of numerals and numbers, (3) to provide a variety of interesting set of worksheets and (4) to motivate students in arithmetic. It is the author's wish that the 3R Math Readiness Book will contribute in a small measure to that end. The creative teacher can help by expanding the objectives of the assignments to suit the needs and interest of their students. The author grants permission to teachers to reproduce any part of this book for use by students in the classroom.
