A Brave Man in Our Midst

This book celebrates the life and times of a life spent in the second half of the 20th Century during a period of great change, that included the disintegration of the British Empire.

Ken's bravery and determined attitude was never more exemplified than when he was serving with the 'Glorious Glosters' at the famous Battle of Imjin River In Korea and winning his illustrious British Empire Medal (BEM).

Whether frolicking with local ladies in the best posting in the British Army (the Caribbean), serving in troubled Palestine, becoming regimental boxing champion, surviving the horror of POW solitary confinement, warfare in the jungle with special forces, or just plain being a prison officer looking after serial killers in Australia ... Ken did it with gusto and determination.

He was a man from humble origins, but truly a brave man in our midst.
