About A Christian Passover Seder & Haggadah
"Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29, ESV
Seder means "order," and it simply provides an orderly manner by which to celebrate and commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Messiah, the fulfillment of the Passover foreshadowed in the exodus of God's people, Israel, from the bondage of Egypt. This "order" is given in this Haggadah Booklet so the Passover story, the gospel truth of Jesus Messiah, may be expressed unto Messiah's exaltation and the Father's glory. NOTE: This Seder & Haggadah is not meant to mirror a Jewish Seder or be the Christian equivalent of a Jewish Passover observance. Since the Passover was instituted to prophetically point to Jesus of Nazareth, Israel's Messiah, the order of this Seder & Haggadah is written to show the cross of Jesus Messiah as powerful and preeminent in the eternal truth of Y'shua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, as it is written, "knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God" (1 Peter 1:18-21, ESV).
