A Girl and Her Pup

About A Girl and Her Pup

This series came together by sheer magic, totally organically, through watching the love between my little girl and the rescue pup we share with my parents. My whole idea behind the series was to pay it forward, while encapsulating the love and imagination that is shared between children and their pets. I knew from the beginning that I wanted partial proceeds from every book sold to be donated to the BC Children's Hospital, as well as to the Women's Shelter, but I wanted to incorporate the magic that can come from owning an animal that has been rescued as well.Over the years it's been said time and time again by people who meet her, that Zola should be a therapy dog because of her gentle nature and love of children. My vision behind this book series was to have her all trained up as a service dog, and be able to take her and my daughter Brea into the Children's Hospital to read the stories to the children living there . . . but then Covid happened. So that vision is just a vision for now: )I did manage to get Zola into service-dog training, so we're partway there and I'm not giving up hope that we get all the way there someday!P.S.
