A Jagged Season

In the little Texas town of Bonnet, where the love of football is as big as the state itself, entanglements that have taken lifetimes to form slowly unravel during one football season.
After a career-ending injury cut short his playing days at The University of Texas, Doug Meadhran, Bonnet's best ever football player, switched sports and became a golfer bound for stardom. Unfortunately, family responsibilities and conflict prevented him from getting there. For the past eighteen years Doug has mourned his lost dreams, with depression costing him his marriage and all ambition.
During this jagged season, Doug's long-dormant energies are awakened by a seventy-four-year-old wiry bundle of spunk named Tildy Hannah. With trickery, mystery and insight bordering on clairvoyance, Tildy helps Doug turn back the clock by convincing him to teach her and her friends the game of golf. While Doug rediscovers his passion, the town's hopes for a first state championship rest on the shoulders of Doug's son, Cobus, who explores ten years of teenage angst, anger, misplaced bravado and childhood innocence in the span of ten weeks.
