A Pride of Liars

Superintendent Lorrie Sullivan is no stranger to death. It often sits like a shadow on her shoulder, and being associated with her is a dangerous business, but never... never... has she been the prime suspect in a brutal murder. Until now. To know Lorrie is to know that she attracts enemies, but not like bees on honey, more like... well, I think you can guess the more apt term to describe how susceptible she is to those who would do her harm. One such person hatches a devilish plot to frame her and -- but for one stupid mistake, and the vigilance of her friends -- he is almost successful. Not to be outdone, the killings continue and Lorrie finds herself in a race against time to catch the killer before he takes what is most precious to her -- her children.
