A Song of Strength

The old ways are sacred and should never be forgotten. At fourteen, Chione, shaman-in-training, is struggling to master her gifts before the New Blood Ceremony. When she learns that her best friend's brother is to be the next sacrifice, she makes a deal with the gods to save the lives of her people. However, not all the gods approve, for the old ways should never be changed. Chione must now fight to keep the people of Shuu safe from their wrath.
