Through stream of consciousness writing, in tandem with humor and personal observations, Freund conveys the human experience in a combination that is both intimate and widely relatable. Vibrant pallets and textures breathe life into abstract imagery that were inspired by the desire to visualize emotion. A multitude of works are products of processing depression and anxiety, while not grasping the illnesses were present.
ABSTRACT was created as a vessel to articulate the period in early adulthood where a large amount of individuals feel unseen and are navigating life to survive while prioritizing everything else but themselves.
