Fischer is a 30-year Military Aviator / Electronic Warfare Officer with seven combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Balkans. He flew both the EC-130H Compass Call and the EA-6B Prowler with considerable combat in both airframes. Additionally, Jeff served two tours in Washington, D.C., Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon. Towards the end of his career, Jeff was a Senior Diplomatic Defense Official to U.S. Embassies in Austria and Kosovo, retiring as a senior member of NATO Special Operations Headquarters, Belgium. Jeff holds degrees from Indiana University, Air Command and Staff College, and the Eisenhower School, National Defense University. His writing style his heavily influenced by Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, and John Grisham who are some of his favorite authors. Jeff resides in Austria with his wife Barbara and son Tobias.
