About Afterlight
He was not ready to lose her in either world, so he tricked the stars and conspired against the Universe. He loved her in life - he swept her into a portal and loved her in death, and then he sent her back to her world as he continued to linger in his - between life and between death. They told her it was all in her mind. They said that her memories were never real. They locked her away until he found a way back, to her world.Misty-Bleu, "Through all our lifetimes, across so many universes and dimensions, our souls always know each other. You and I, we've loved before, it's just always our bodies that are new. Still, in each form, each age, each universe, and each lifetime, you leave me here without you. I can't do another lifetime without you. I search for you in each existence, when really, my survival has always been in you, and yours in me. Our worlds collide again and again, lifetime after lifetime, body after body. I need to be in a world where you won't leave me again. I've got to be where you are."Misty-Bleu, "The place I go to every time I close my eyes. There where you are. There where I find you again. There where our ancient love comes home to me. There where all other worlds die, and ours lets me live again. With you. There, where we make plans again. There, where you touch my face and hold my hands. There where I can breathe again. There, where you never left, never gone. There where I find you when I no longer want to be awake in my world. The world you sent me back to. The one I've had to live in without you, and hide my tears. The one that crushes my soul and shatters my heart. The world I hate. The one I search for you on empty beaches and crowded streets. The one you've left me in, without you."Alison Meier - Excellent how the writer was able to split dimensions while Misty-Bleu slipped out and back into the universes. It was a twist that caught me by surprise. It was a good, solid read. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories within the story. It was a book I had to tear myself away from and didn't want it to end. Much tears. Definite read.Danelle Davy - Wow, I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. The author took my mind and emotions into a world of abuse, pain, suffering, loss and most of all intense love. Even though all the pain and suffering took a toll on the character's mind and soul, in the end, love prevails and overpower all of these bad experiences in life. I love how the author was able to pen down the emotions of the characters perfectly making it more real. I could not stop reading and had to finish it quick once I started. The author has a talent to express various types of emotions which reflects the reality that a lot of people in real life experience through love, death, life and the power of the mind. I am hooked on her way of writing and I cannot wait to pick up another book.I rate this book
