Ajna - The Sixth Chakra

About Ajna - The Sixth Chakra

The sixth chakra is the brow chakra, "the third eye."It has two indigo lotus petals as its symbol and is placed in the center of the forehead, about two fingers above the root of the nose, in the position of the third eye. Its name in Sanskrit means to know, to perceive and also to command. It is the last chakra located within the physical body. On the two petals of the lotus are the letters Ham and Ksam. The sixth is the chakra of superior mental structure and superior vision, commonly called the third eye, considered fundamental in many oriental meditative practices (Tibet and India above all). It develops in adulthood. It expresses the right to see the truth, be it human or superior. It presides over the sense of sight. In its anterior expression it is associated with the faculty of visualizing and making intellectual concepts comprehensible and, in its posterior expression, with the faculty of implementing the concepts themselves. If the sixth chakra is not harmonious, the person will easily find himself in a situation of confusion in which ideas and concepts will correspond to reality and consequently his actions, i.e. his ability to translate ideas into practice will fall or worse still, distorted ideas and concepts will be brought forward with the appropriate consequences for oneself and for others.Perception, knowledge and command are the prerogatives of this chakra. It lets you enter the non-material world, the invisible, through extrasensory perception to bring knowledge and, therefore, deep awareness of what surrounds the human being, not only in matter and consequently allowing to command and guide your own existence.
