Cassandra never wanted to return to the Amish and follow the rules, but she soon found she was pregnant with nowhere to go.
She returned to her parents' home with the 'shameful news' only to be sent to Aunt Maud's for the remainder of her pregnancy. The other part of their plan was for Maud to find a couple who would adopt the baby. But Cassandra was never one for plans-not when they were someone else's.
