Time and luck seem to be running out for The Purple Heart Detective Agency. Violence has a toll. Running afoul of the law has its limits.

But for Clayton Grace, there is a woman involved-- the one who got away. His first love, Linda, the woman who chose another man over him. And now that man is missing.
