In Exodus,19:5-6 we hear God invite His People to be priests in His Kingdom: "Now therefore, if you will hear and obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a precious treasure unto Me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And you shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation." This kingdom of priests, within the parameters of that first covenant, while introduced and activated, did not reach its fulfillment.
