August Sky

A definitely gripping and breathtaking story during WW2. Inspired by true events. In 1945, Julian was apart from his mother in the massive air raid on Kobe.
A nine-year-old boy with blue eyes and brown hair got alone in the chaos and terror.
To escape and survive, he decided to make a lonesome journey to America, where
his father served as a scientist for a top-secret project in Los Alamos.
But when the terrible military police called 'kenpeitai' was chasing him persistently,
he was struggling to leave Japan, with supports of mindful people, and reaching Hiroshima.
Memorizing his family, full of passion in his heart, he kept going with hope under the
august sky, not knowing unthinkable destiny would be waiting for him.
