Jimmy and Nicole Turner's brother-sister trip to the Black Hills and the iconic Mount Rushmore was supposed to allow them to reconnect and relax. But when they pick up Kira, a beautiful hitchhiker on the run, that plan goes out the window at eighty miles per hour.
Kira claims she's being chased by a motorcycle gang that may or may not be planning an act of terror or insurrection. When a breakdown strands the trio in the tiny town of Wall, the city's famed drug store becomes both a haven and a hazard as the Turners try to decide if there's more to Kira's tale than she lets on. Little do they know, when they finally push west, that a storm is brewing.
Across the open prairie and barren badlands, and from downtown Rapid City to the pine-covered slopes of America's most famous landmark, the Turners scheme to stay one step ahead of danger, discover the truth, and thwart a seditious plot before it's too late.
