Life for Annie was nothing more than a fight for survival. She had been given a life that included a mother to whom her values for her, were nothing more than the welfare checks She had survived the rape's hunger and the pain of many broken bones at the hands of her mother's many male acquaintances, until the day she found safety beneath the willows.

Her world changed when she was abandoned on a Texas highway - left to die. Even through this and the abuses of the foster care system, she soon landed in, Annie survived.

She was living on the streets when she was raped and her only friend, Billy was murdered. Annie was tried of surviving. she couldn't understand why God didn't want her. On a hot sweltering summer night, she was to take herself on a journey from which she did not expected to return. Annie at the age of eleven in cold blood murdered.
