Bite-size Devotions for the Busy Christian

About Bite-size Devotions for the Busy Christian

These devotions (80 in total) are based on the format laid out in my blog (terrynightingale.com). Each one is between 450 - 600 words and most can be read in under 4 minutes For those who want to linger longer there are suggested prayers Each devotion is based on at least one verse of Scripture or a Bible story. The text of the Bible is the main focus, accompanied by stories, illustrations, thoughts, or questions. The aim of each is to encourage, ''build up'' but also challenge the reader to a deeper walk with God and obedience to His Word. Endorsement: A year or so ago, I saw a blog of Terry Nightingale''s and thoroughly enjoyed what he had written. I responded to it with a comment, which he appreciated very much. As a result of our connection, I started receiving his blog journals every time he posted them. I found the subjects of each of his blogs insightful, and at times they uniquely ministered to me at the most appropriate time or to a situation in my life. With each of the articles, Terry has graced us with the godly wisdom that can only come from the Holy Spirit, and his time spent seeking the Lord. What he shares will speak to anyone, no matter their gender, age, education, life experiences, geographical location, or social position, because they are rooted in the Word of God, which is timeless. As a pastor and shepherd of his flock, Terry has tapped into the mind, heart, and spirit of the Great Shepherd of the Church. Take the time to read, and meditate on each article, because they will enrich your life, mind, and soul. In the times that we now live, we need more than just what we hear in church on Sunday morning: we need continual input, and I know that this book will be a great blessing to you. -Keith D. Wilcox, D.M.A. Associate Pastor of Music and Worship New Colony Baptist Church Billerica, Massachusetts, USA About the Author: Terry is a pastor serving in the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, having worked in education both in the UK and Perth. Terry has been involved in Christian ministry in many ways over the years from teaching to evangelism and from music ministry to pastoral care. Terry and Sue moved to Australia in 2003 from the UK. Today they have two grown-up children both married, and four grandchildren. Terry started writing in 2003 when he had an idea for a Christian novel with an adventure involving time travel.
