Like thousands of young Millennials seeking relief from the tensions of Silicon Valley, Larry and Camilla investigate alternatives and select Boise, Idaho, whose lush riverside location offers affordable homes on historic tree-lined streets and year-round recreational opportunities for their young daughter and son. On a downtown storefront, Larry founds Boise's first venture capital company for local start-ups, while Camilla moves from substitute teaching at Washington School to founding a natural science center. Their years of blissful living are countered by Trump-inspired renegades from Idaho's Panhandle. Adrian Marchetti Moore, hard to admit the PTSD he'd suffered after an IED attack in Iraq, lives in Priest River on his disability check and EBT food card, spending afternoons at Pluto's Bar.
