Student's Study Book I has been developed for use by teachers, students and independent learners. It is designed to be used in conjunction with Cambridge Latin Course Book I and provides comprehensions, exercises in grammar and vocabulary and further investigations into the Roman civilisation topics studied in Book I.
The Study Books are designed to be used in conjunction with the core books of the Cambridge Latin Course.
Book I begins in the city of Pompeii shortly before the eruption of Vesuvius. The Book I Teacher's Guide provides commentary and teaching suggestions, as well as attainment tests and a list of relevant books and audio-visual resources for students and teachers. Also included is a brief summary of the story and of the main language features and cultural background.

Book II focuses first on life in Roman Britain before moving further afield to Egypt. Book II is full colour throughout, with a clear layout of stories and language notes.
