Rashid has edited these stories and translated them from Shina (the Gilgit language). Rashid wishes to thank his parents, relatives and friends for their great help in collecting the stories. The illustrations for The Proud Hen have been done by Alan Greenwell, who lives in the UK and has spent time in Gilgit-Baltistan.
