I have lost my chance to claim a bride. No more females remain. They have all been taken by naga males that will kill to keep them.
So, when I hear a female scream within my territory, I do not hesitate. I go after her, intending to claim her for my own and prove my strength.
My worth.
This is my chance.
Except... she is not one of the human females I have come to know. She has just arrived. She is hurt, afraid, and fleeing from another male.
But she does not want to be saved, she wants to fight.
