"briann - Some Restored Photographs - 1959 - 1970" has been a journey to rescue pieces of the past that are important to me through photographs which have been repaired and preserved - precious pieces of the very early work of some of now leading internationally recognised Australian photographers from the 1960s and 1970s whose work was inadvertently damaged by flooding rain in a Birchgrove, Sydney winter some 40 years ago.
The work took over 12 months to do and when it was finished I believed the photographers themselves needed to be recognised and remembered and I thought a little book highlighting their amazing art was the way to go and this was able to be achieved through restoration of part of my archive.
