In today's society where music, social media, video games, and television characters act as modern-day role models for young minds, there's a desperate need for a healthy balance. We live in a world where, both consciously and unconsciously, there has been the perspective enforced on young minds that the color of one's skin should determine their fate and future. We live in a time where it's expected that the negative or pessimistic depiction of "life" for a certain group of people should be the reality for all. I want to shift that dynamic and affirm you today, just like the little boy in this book.
